וַיִּקְרָא֩ He summoned way·yiq·rā לְזִקְנֵ֨י the elders , lə·ziq·nê וּלְרָאשָׁ֗יו leaders , ū·lə·rā·šāw וּלְשֹֽׁפְטָיו֙ judges , ū·lə·šō·p̄ə·ṭāw וּלְשֹׁ֣טְרָ֔יו and officers ū·lə·šō·ṭə·rāw יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּֽתְיַצְּב֖וּ and they presented way·yiṯ·yaṣ·ṣə·ḇū לִפְנֵ֥י themselves before lip̄·nê הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm Joshua 24:2 יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ And Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- כָּל־ all kāl- הָעָ֗ם the people , hā·‘ām כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָה֮ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar מֵֽעוֹלָ֔ם ‘ Long ago mê·‘ō·w·lām אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ your fathers , ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem תֶּ֛רַח including Terah te·raḥ אֲבִ֥י the father ’ă·ḇî אַבְרָהָ֖ם of Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām וַאֲבִ֣י . . . wa·’ă·ḇî נָח֑וֹר and Nahor , nā·ḥō·wr יָשְׁב֤וּ lived yā·šə·ḇū בְּעֵ֣בֶר beyond bə·‘ê·ḇer הַנָּהָ֗ר the Euphrates han·nā·hār וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ and worshiped way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏū אֲחֵרִֽים׃ other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֱלֹהִ֥ים gods . ’ĕ·lō·hîm Joshua 24:3 וָ֠אֶקַּח But I took wā·’eq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲבִיכֶ֤ם your father ’ă·ḇî·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַבְרָהָם֙ Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām מֵעֵ֣בֶר from beyond mê·‘ê·ḇer הַנָּהָ֔ר the Euphrates han·nā·hār וָאוֹלֵ֥ךְ and led wā·’ō·w·lêḵ אוֹת֖וֹ him ’ō·w·ṯōw בְּכָל־ through all bə·ḵāl אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ כְּנָ֑עַן of Canaan , kə·nā·‘an וָאֶרֶב and I multiplied wå̄·ʾɛ·rɛḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- זַרְע֔וֹ his descendants . zar·‘ōw וָֽאֶתֶּן־ I gave wā·’et·ten- ל֖וֹ him lōw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִצְחָֽק׃ Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq Joshua 24:4 לְיִצְחָ֔ק and to Isaac lə·yiṣ·ḥāq אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- וָאֶתֵּ֣ן I gave wā·’et·tên יַעֲקֹ֖ב Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עֵשָׂ֑ו and Esau . ‘ê·śāw וָאֶתֵּ֨ן I gave wā·’et·tên לְעֵשָׂ֜ו Esau lə·‘ê·śāw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַ֤ר Mount har שֵׂעִיר֙ Seir śê·‘îr לָרֶ֣שֶׁת to possess lā·re·šeṯ אוֹת֔וֹ - , ’ō·w·ṯōw וְיַעֲקֹ֥ב but Jacob wə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ וּבָנָ֖יו and his sons ū·ḇā·nāw יָרְד֥וּ went down yā·rə·ḏū מִצְרָֽיִם׃ to Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Joshua 24:5 וָאֶשְׁלַ֞ח Then I sent wā·’eš·laḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֹשֶׁ֤ה Moses mō·šeh וְאֶֽת־ - wə·’eṯ- אַהֲרֹן֙ and Aaron , ’a·hă·rōn וָאֶגֹּ֣ף and I afflicted wā·’eg·gōp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִצְרַ֔יִם the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר by what ka·’ă·šer עָשִׂ֖יתִי I did ‘ā·śî·ṯî בְּקִרְבּ֑וֹ there , bə·qir·bōw וְאַחַ֖ר and afterward wə·’a·ḥar הוֹצֵ֥אתִי I brought you out hō·w·ṣê·ṯî אֶתְכֶֽם׃ - . ’eṯ·ḵem Joshua 24:6 וָֽאוֹצִ֤יא When I brought wā·’ō·w·ṣî אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ your fathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
