Genesis 24:47 וָאֶשְׁאַ֣ל Then I asked her , wā·’eš·’al אֹתָ֗הּ - ’ō·ṯāh מִ֣י ‘ Whose mî בַּת־ daughter baṯ- אַתְּ֒ are you ? ’ ’at וַתֹּ֗אמֶר . . . wat·tō·mer וָאֹמַר֮ She replied , wā·’ō·mar בַּת־ ‘ The daughter baṯ- בְּתוּאֵל֙ of Bethuel bə·ṯū·’êl בֶּן־ son ben- נָח֔וֹר of Nahor , nā·ḥō·wr אֲשֶׁ֥ר whom ’ă·šer מִלְכָּ֑ה Milcah mil·kāh יָֽלְדָה־ bore yā·lə·ḏāh- לּ֖וֹ to him . ’ lōw וָאָשִׂ֤ם So I put wā·’ā·śim הַנֶּ֙זֶם֙ the ring han·ne·zem עַל־ on ‘al- אַפָּ֔הּ her nose ’ap·pāh וְהַצְּמִידִ֖ים and the bracelets wə·haṣ·ṣə·mî·ḏîm עַל־ on ‘al- יָדֶֽיהָ׃ her wrists . yā·ḏe·hā Genesis 24:48 וָאֶקֹּ֥ד Then I bowed down wā·’eq·qōḏ וָֽאֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖ה and worshiped wā·’eš·ta·ḥă·weh לַיהוָ֑ה YHWH ; Yah·weh וָאֲבָרֵ֗ךְ and I blessed wā·’ă·ḇā·rêḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵי֙ the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲדֹנִ֣י of my master ’ă·ḏō·nî אַבְרָהָ֔ם Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām אֲשֶׁ֤ר who ’ă·šer הִנְחַ֙נִי֙ led me hin·ḥa·nî אֱמֶ֔ת on the right ’ĕ·meṯ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ road bə·ḏe·reḵ לָקַ֛חַת to take lā·qa·ḥaṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בַּת־ the granddaughter baṯ- אֲדֹנִ֖י of my master’s ’ă·ḏō·nî אֲחִ֥י brother ’ă·ḥî לִבְנֽוֹ׃ for his son . liḇ·nōw Genesis 24:49 וְ֠עַתָּה Now wə·‘at·tāh אִם־ if ’im- יֶשְׁכֶ֨ם you will yeš·ḵem עֹשִׂ֜ים show ‘ō·śîm חֶ֧סֶד kindness ḥe·seḏ וֶֽאֱמֶ֛ת and faithfulness we·’ĕ·meṯ אֶת־ to ’eṯ- אֲדֹנִ֖י my master , ’ă·ḏō·nî הַגִּ֣ידוּ tell hag·gî·ḏū לִ֑י me ; lî וְאִם־ but if wə·’im- לֹ֕א not , lō הַגִּ֣ידוּ let me know hag·gî·ḏū לִ֔י - , lî וְאֶפְנֶ֥ה so that I may go wə·’ep̄·neh עַל־ elsewhere ‘al- יָמִ֖ין . . . yā·mîn א֥וֹ . . . ’ōw עַל־ . . . ‘al- שְׂמֹֽאל׃ . . . . ” śə·mōl Genesis 24:50 לָבָ֤ן Laban lā·ḇān וּבְתוּאֵל֙ and Bethuel ū·ḇə·ṯū·’êl וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ . . . way·yō·mə·rū וַיַּ֨עַן answered , way·ya·‘an יָצָ֣א “ This is from yā·ṣā מֵיְהוָ֖ה YHWH ; Yah·weh לֹ֥א we have no choice lō נוּכַ֛ל . . . nū·ḵal דַּבֵּ֥ר . . . dab·bêr אֵלֶ֖יךָ . . . ’ê·le·ḵā רַ֥ע . . . ra‘ אוֹ־ . . . ’ōw- טֽוֹב׃ . . . ṭō·wḇ הַדָּבָ֑ר in the matter . had·dā·ḇār Genesis 24:51 רִבְקָ֥ה Rebekah riḇ·qāh הִנֵּֽה־ is here hin·nêh- לְפָנֶ֖יךָ before you . lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā קַ֣ח Take her qaḥ וָלֵ֑ךְ and go , wā·lêḵ וּתְהִ֤י and let her become ū·ṯə·hî אִשָּׁה֙ the wife ’iš·šāh אֲדֹנֶ֔יךָ of your master’s ’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā לְבֶן־ son , lə·ḇen- כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֥ר has decreed . ” dib·ber
