רִבְקָ֥ה Rebekah {on her way} , riḇ·qāh מֵנִקְתָּ֑הּ along with her nurse mê·niq·tāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אַבְרָהָ֖ם and Abraham’s ’aḇ·rā·hām וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עֶ֥בֶד servant ‘e·ḇeḏ אֲנָשָֽׁיו׃ and his men . ’ă·nā·šāw Genesis 24:60 וַיְבָרֲכ֤וּ And they blessed way·ḇā·ră·ḵū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רִבְקָה֙ Rebekah riḇ·qāh וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ and said way·yō·mə·rū לָ֔הּ to her , lāh אֲחֹתֵ֕נוּ “ Our sister , ’ă·ḥō·ṯê·nū אַ֥תְּ may you ’at הֲיִ֖י become the mother hă·yî לְאַלְפֵ֣י of thousands lə·’al·p̄ê רְבָבָ֑ה upon thousands . rə·ḇā·ḇāh זַרְעֵ֔ךְ May your offspring zar·‘êḵ אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ וְיִירַ֣שׁ possess wə·yî·raš שַׁ֥עַר the gates ša·‘ar שֹׂנְאָֽיו׃ of their enemies . ” śō·nə·’āw Genesis 24:61 רִבְקָ֜ה Then Rebekah riḇ·qāh וְנַעֲרֹתֶ֗יהָ and her servant girls wə·na·‘ă·rō·ṯe·hā וַתָּ֨קָם got ready , wat·tā·qām וַתִּרְכַּ֙בְנָה֙ mounted wat·tir·kaḇ·nāh עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַגְּמַלִּ֔ים the camels , hag·gə·mal·lîm וַתֵּלַ֖כְנָה and followed wat·tê·laḵ·nāh אַחֲרֵ֣י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê הָאִ֑ישׁ the man . hā·’îš הָעֶ֛בֶד So the servant hā·‘e·ḇeḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקַּ֥ח took way·yiq·qaḥ רִבְקָ֖ה Rebekah riḇ·qāh וַיֵּלַֽךְ׃ and left . way·yê·laḵ Genesis 24:62 וְיִצְחָק֙ Now Isaac wə·yiṣ·ḥāq בָּ֣א had just returned bā מִבּ֔וֹא from mib·bō·w בְּאֵ֥ר vvv bə·’êr לַחַ֖י vvv la·ḥay רֹאִ֑י Beer-lahai-roi , rō·’î וְה֥וּא for he wə·hū יוֹשֵׁ֖ב was living yō·wō·šêḇ הַנֶּֽגֶב׃ in the Negev han·ne·ḡeḇ בְּאֶ֥רֶץ . . . . bə·’e·reṣ Genesis 24:63 עָ֑רֶב Early in the evening , ‘ā·reḇ יִצְחָ֛ק Isaac yiṣ·ḥāq וַיֵּצֵ֥א went out way·yê·ṣê בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה to the field baś·śā·ḏeh לָשׂ֥וּחַ to meditate , lā·śū·aḥ לִפְנ֣וֹת . . . lip̄·nō·wṯ וַיִּשָּׂ֤א and looking up , way·yiś·śā עֵינָיו֙ . . . ‘ê·nāw וַיַּ֔רְא he saw way·yar וְהִנֵּ֥ה . . . wə·hin·nêh גְמַלִּ֖ים the camels ḡə·mal·lîm בָּאִֽים׃ approaching . bā·’îm Genesis 24:64 רִבְקָה֙ And when Rebekah riḇ·qāh וַתִּשָּׂ֤א looked up wat·tiś·śā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֵינֶ֔יהָ - ‘ê·ne·hā וַתֵּ֖רֶא and saw wat·tê·re אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִצְחָ֑ק Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq וַתִּפֹּ֖ל she got down wat·tip·pōl מֵעַ֥ל from mê·‘al הַגָּמָֽל׃ her camel hag·gā·māl Genesis 24:65 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר and asked wat·tō·mer אֶל־ . . . ’el- הָעֶ֗בֶד the servant , hā·‘e·ḇeḏ מִֽי־ “ Who mî- הַלָּזֶה֙ is that hal·lā·zeh הָאִ֤ישׁ man hā·’îš בַּשָּׂדֶה֙ in the field baś·śā·ḏeh הַהֹלֵ֤ךְ coming ha·hō·lêḵ לִקְרָאתֵ֔נוּ to meet us ? ” liq·rā·ṯê·nū ה֣וּא “ It hū אֲדֹנִ֑י is my master , ” ’ă·ḏō·nî הָעֶ֖בֶד the servant hā·‘e·ḇeḏ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר answered . way·yō·mer וַתִּקַּ֥ח So she took wat·tiq·qaḥ
