Genesis 24:52 וַיְהִ֕י - way·hî כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר When ka·’ă·šer אַבְרָהָ֖ם Abraham’s ’aḇ·rā·hām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֶ֥בֶד servant ‘e·ḇeḏ שָׁמַ֛ע heard šā·ma‘ דִּבְרֵיהֶ֑ם their words , diḇ·rê·hem וַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ he bowed down way·yiš·ta·ḥū אַ֖רְצָה to the ground ’ar·ṣāh לַֽיהוָֽה׃ before YHWH . Yah·weh Genesis 24:53 הָעֶ֜בֶד Then he hā·‘e·ḇeḏ וַיּוֹצֵ֨א brought out way·yō·w·ṣê כְּלֵי־ jewels kə·lê- כֶ֨סֶף of silver ḵe·sep̄ וּכְלֵ֤י . . . ū·ḵə·lê זָהָב֙ and gold , zā·hāḇ וּבְגָדִ֔ים and articles of clothing , ū·ḇə·ḡā·ḏîm וַיִּתֵּ֖ן and he gave them way·yit·tên לְרִבְקָ֑ה to Rebekah . lə·riḇ·qāh נָתַ֥ן He also gave nā·ṯan וּמִ֨גְדָּנֹ֔ת precious gifts ū·miḡ·dā·nōṯ לְאָחִ֖יהָ to her brother lə·’ā·ḥî·hā וּלְאִמָּֽהּ׃ and her mother . ū·lə·’im·māh Genesis 24:54 ה֛וּא Then he hū וְהָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים and the men wə·hā·’ă·nā·šîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עִמּ֖וֹ with him ‘im·mōw וַיֹּאכְל֣וּ ate way·yō·ḵə·lū וַיִּשְׁתּ֗וּ and drank way·yiš·tū וַיָּלִ֑ינוּ and spent the night there . way·yā·lî·nū וַיָּק֣וּמוּ When they got up way·yā·qū·mū בַבֹּ֔קֶר the next morning , ḇab·bō·qer וַיֹּ֖אמֶר he said , way·yō·mer שַׁלְּחֻ֥נִי “ Send me on my way šal·lə·ḥu·nî לַֽאדֹנִֽי׃ to my master . ” la·ḏō·nî Genesis 24:55 אָחִ֙יהָ֙ But her brother ’ā·ḥî·hā וְאִמָּ֔הּ and mother wə·’im·māh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said , way·yō·mer הַנַּעֲרָ֥ “ Let the girl han·na·‘ă·rā תֵּשֵׁ֨ב remain tê·šêḇ אִתָּ֛נוּ with us ’it·tā·nū עָשׂ֑וֹר ten ‘ā·śō·wr יָמִ֖ים days yā·mîm א֣וֹ or so . ’ōw אַחַ֖ר After that , ’a·ḥar תֵּלֵֽךְ׃ she may go . ” tê·lêḵ Genesis 24:56 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר But he replied way·yō·mer אֲלֵהֶם֙ . . . , ’ă·lê·hem אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תְּאַחֲר֣וּ delay me , tə·’a·ḥă·rū אֹתִ֔י - ’ō·ṯî וַֽיהוָ֖ה since YHWH Yah·weh דַּרְכִּ֑י has made my journey dar·kî הִצְלִ֣יחַ a success . hiṣ·lî·aḥ שַׁלְּח֕וּנִי Send me on my way šal·lə·ḥū·nî וְאֵלְכָ֖ה so that I may go wə·’ê·lə·ḵāh לַֽאדֹנִֽי׃ to my master . ” la·ḏō·nî Genesis 24:57 וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ So they said , way·yō·mə·rū נִקְרָ֣א “ We will call niq·rā לַֽנַּעֲרָ֑ the girl lan·na·‘ă·rā וְנִשְׁאֲלָ֖ה and ask wə·niš·’ă·lāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פִּֽיהָ׃ her opinion . ” pî·hā Genesis 24:58 וַיִּקְרְא֤וּ They called way·yiq·rə·’ū לְרִבְקָה֙ Rebekah lə·riḇ·qāh וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ and asked way·yō·mə·rū אֵלֶ֔יהָ her , ’ê·le·hā הֲתֵלְכִ֖י “ Will you go hă·ṯê·lə·ḵî עִם־ with ‘im- הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הָאִ֣ישׁ man ? ” hā·’îš אֵלֵֽךְ׃ “ I will go , ” ’ê·lêḵ וַתֹּ֖אמֶר she replied . wat·tō·mer Genesis 24:59 וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֛וּ So they sent way·šal·lə·ḥū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲחֹתָ֖ם their sister ’ă·ḥō·ṯām וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ-
