ל֔וֹ , lōw וַיַּעֲל֥וּ and brought them way·ya·‘ă·lū אֹתָ֖ם - ’ō·ṯām עֵ֥מֶק to the Valley ‘ê·meq עָכֽוֹר׃ of Achor . ‘ā·ḵō·wr Joshua 7:25 מֶ֣ה “ Why meh עֲכַרְתָּ֔נוּ have you brought this trouble upon us ? ” ‘ă·ḵar·tā·nū וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ Joshua . yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ בַּיּ֣וֹם “ Today bay·yō·wm הַזֶּ֑ה . . . haz·zeh יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh יַעְכֳּרְךָ֥ will bring trouble upon you ! ” ya‘·kor·ḵā כָל־ And all ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּרְגְּמ֨וּ stoned him to death way·yir·gə·mū אֹת֤וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw אֶ֔בֶן - . ’e·ḇen וַיִּסְקְל֥וּ Then they stoned [the others] way·yis·qə·lū אֹתָ֖ם - ’ō·ṯām בָּאֲבָנִֽים׃ - bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm וַיִּשְׂרְפ֤וּ and burned their bodies way·yiś·rə·p̄ū אֹתָם֙ - ’ō·ṯām בָּאֵ֔שׁ - . bā·’êš Joshua 7:26 וַיָּקִ֨ימוּ And they heaped way·yā·qî·mū עָלָ֜יו over [Achan] ‘ā·lāw גָּד֗וֹל a large gā·ḏō·wl גַּל־ pile gal- אֲבָנִ֣ים of rocks ’ă·ḇā·nîm עַ֚ד that remains to ‘aḏ הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh הַיּ֣וֹם day . hay·yō·wm יְהוָ֖ה So YHWH Yah·weh וַיָּ֥שָׁב turned way·yā·šāḇ מֵחֲר֣וֹן from His burning anger mê·ḥă·rō·wn אַפּ֑וֹ . . . . ’ap·pōw עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֠ן . . . kên הַהוּא֙ that ha·hū הַמָּק֤וֹם place ham·mā·qō·wm קָרָ֞א is called qā·rā שֵׁ֣ם . . . šêm עֵ֣מֶק the Valley ‘ê·meq עָכ֔וֹר of Achor ‘ā·ḵō·wr עַ֖ד to ‘aḏ הַזֶּֽה׃פ this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day . hay·yō·wm Joshua 8:1 יְהוָ֤ה Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ Joshua , yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֣א be afraid tî·rā וְאַל־ . . . wə·’al- תֵּחָ֔ת or discouraged . tê·ḥāṯ קַ֣ח Take qaḥ כָּל־ the whole kāl- הַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה army ham·mil·ḥā·māh עַ֣ם . . . ‘am עִמְּךָ֗ with you ‘im·mə·ḵā אֵ֚ת - , ’êṯ וְק֖וּם and go up wə·qūm עֲלֵ֣ה and attack ‘ă·lêh הָעָ֑י Ai . hā·‘āy רְאֵ֣ה׀ See , rə·’êh נָתַ֣תִּי I have delivered nā·ṯat·tî בְיָדְךָ֗ into your hand ḇə·yā·ḏə·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֶ֤לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הָעַי֙ of Ai , hā·‘ay וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עַמּ֔וֹ his people , ‘am·mōw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עִיר֖וֹ his city , ‘î·rōw וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- אַרְצֽוֹ׃ his land . ’ar·ṣōw Joshua 8:2 וְעָשִׂ֨יתָ And you shall do wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā לָעַ֜י to Ai lā·‘ay וּלְמַלְכָּ֗הּ and its king ū·lə·mal·kāh כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר as ka·’ă·šer עָשִׂ֤יתָ you did ‘ā·śî·ṯā לִֽירִיחוֹ֙ to Jericho lî·rî·ḥōw וּלְמַלְכָּ֔הּ and its king , ū·lə·mal·kāh רַק־ except that raq- תָּבֹ֣זּוּ you may carry off tā·ḇōz·zū שְׁלָלָ֥הּ their plunder šə·lā·lāh וּבְהֶמְתָּ֖הּ and livestock ū·ḇə·hem·tāh לָכֶ֑ם for yourselves . lā·ḵem
