יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ - , yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וַיֹּאמַ֑ר - way·yō·mar אָנֹכִ֤י “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî חָטָ֙אתִי֙ have sinned ḥā·ṭā·ṯî לַֽיהוָה֙ against YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl וְכָזֹ֥את This wə·ḵā·zōṯ וְכָזֹ֖את . . . wə·ḵā·zōṯ עָשִֽׂיתִי׃ is what I did : ‘ā·śî·ṯî Joshua 7:21 וָאֶרְאֶה When I saw wå̄·ʾɛr·ʾɛh בַשָּׁלָ֡ל among the spoils ḇaš·šā·lāl אַחַ֨ת a ’a·ḥaṯ טוֹבָ֜ה beautiful ṭō·w·ḇāh אַדֶּ֣רֶת cloak ’ad·de·reṯ שִׁנְעָר֩ from Shinar , šin·‘ār וּמָאתַ֧יִם two hundred ū·mā·ṯa·yim שְׁקָלִ֣ים shekels šə·qā·lîm כֶּ֗סֶף of silver , ke·sep̄ אֶחָד֙ and a ’e·ḥāḏ וּלְשׁ֨וֹן bar ū·lə·šō·wn זָהָ֤ב of gold zā·hāḇ מִשְׁקָל֔וֹ weighing miš·qā·lōw חֲמִשִּׁ֤ים fifty ḥă·miš·šîm שְׁקָלִים֙ shekels , šə·qā·lîm וָֽאֶחְמְדֵ֖ם I coveted them wā·’eḥ·mə·ḏêm וָֽאֶקָּחֵ֑ם and took them . wā·’eq·qā·ḥêm וְהִנָּ֨ם They are wə·hin·nām טְמוּנִ֥ים hidden ṭə·mū·nîm בָּאָ֛רֶץ in the ground bā·’ā·reṣ בְּת֥וֹךְ inside bə·ṯō·wḵ הָאָֽהֳלִ֖י my tent , hā·’ā·ho·lî וְהַכֶּ֥סֶף with the silver wə·hak·ke·sep̄ תַּחְתֶּֽיהָ׃ underneath . ” taḥ·te·hā Joshua 7:22 יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ So Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֔ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm וַיָּרֻ֖צוּ who ran way·yā·ru·ṣū הָאֹ֑הֱלָה to the tent , hā·’ō·hĕ·lāh וְהִנֵּ֧ה and there it [all] was , wə·hin·nêh טְמוּנָ֛ה hidden ṭə·mū·nāh בְּאָהֳל֖וֹ in his tent , bə·’ā·ho·lōw וְהַכֶּ֥סֶף with the silver wə·hak·ke·sep̄ תַּחְתֶּֽיהָ׃ underneath . taḥ·te·hā Joshua 7:23 וַיִּקָּחוּם֙ They took the things way·yiq·qā·ḥūm מִתּ֣וֹךְ from inside mit·tō·wḵ הָאֹ֔הֶל the tent , hā·’ō·hel וַיְבִאוּם֙ brought them way·ḇi·’ūm אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וְאֶ֖ל . . . wə·’el כָּל־ and all kāl- בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל . . . , yiś·rā·’êl וַיַּצִּקֻ֖ם and spread them out way·yaṣ·ṣi·qum לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Joshua 7:24 יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ Then Joshua , yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עִמּ֑וֹ together with ‘im·mōw וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּקַּ֣ח took way·yiq·qaḥ עָכָ֣ן Achan ‘ā·ḵān בֶּן־ son ben- זֶ֡רַח of Zerah , ze·raḥ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַכֶּ֣סֶף the silver , hak·ke·sep̄ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָאַדֶּ֣רֶת the cloak , hā·’ad·de·reṯ וְֽאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- לְשׁ֣וֹן the bar lə·šō·wn הַזָּהָ֡ב of gold , haz·zā·hāḇ וְֽאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בָּנָ֡יו his sons bā·nāw וְֽאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בְּנֹתָ֡יו and daughters , bə·nō·ṯāw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שׁוֹרוֹ֩ his oxen šō·w·rōw וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- חֲמֹר֨וֹ donkeys ḥă·mō·rōw וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- צֹאנ֤וֹ sheep , ṣō·nōw וְאֶֽת־ - wə·’eṯ- אָהֳלוֹ֙ his tent , ’ā·ho·lōw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ and everything [else] kāl- אֲשֶׁר־ he owned ’ă·šer-
