חָטָא֙ has sinned ; ḥā·ṭā וְגַם֙ - wə·ḡam עָבְר֣וּ they have transgressed ‘ā·ḇə·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּרִיתִ֔י My covenant bə·rî·ṯî אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer צִוִּ֖יתִי I commanded ṣiw·wî·ṯî אוֹתָ֑ם them , ’ō·w·ṯām וְגַ֤ם and they wə·ḡam לָֽקְחוּ֙ have taken lā·qə·ḥū מִן־ some of min- הַחֵ֔רֶם what was devoted to destruction . ha·ḥê·rem וְגַ֤ם Indeed , wə·ḡam גָּֽנְבוּ֙ they have stolen gā·nə·ḇū וְגַ֣ם and wə·ḡam כִּֽחֲשׁ֔וּ lied , ki·ḥă·šū וְגַ֖ם and wə·ḡam שָׂ֥מוּ they have put [these things] śā·mū בִכְלֵיהֶֽם׃ with their own possessions . ḇiḵ·lê·hem Joshua 7:12 בְּנֵ֣י This is why the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl וְלֹ֨א cannot wə·lō יֻכְל֜וּ . . . yuḵ·lū לָקוּם֙ stand lā·qūm לִפְנֵ֣י against lip̄·nê אֹיְבֵיהֶ֔ם their enemies . ’ō·yə·ḇê·hem יִפְנוּ֙ They will turn yip̄·nū עֹ֗רֶף their backs ‘ō·rep̄ לִפְנֵ֣י and run from lip̄·nê אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם their enemies , ’ō·yə·ḇê·hem כִּ֥י because kî הָי֖וּ they themselves have been hā·yū לְחֵ֑רֶם set apart for destruction . lə·ḥê·rem לֹ֤א I will no lō אוֹסִיף֙ longer ’ō·w·sîp̄ לִֽהְי֣וֹת be lih·yō·wṯ עִמָּכֶ֔ם with ‘im·mā·ḵem אִם־ you unless ’im- לֹ֥א . . . lō תַשְׁמִ֛ידוּ you remove ṯaš·mî·ḏū מִֽקִּרְבְּכֶֽם׃ from among you miq·qir·bə·ḵem הַחֵ֖רֶם whatever is devoted to destruction . ha·ḥê·rem Joshua 7:13 קֻ֚ם Get up qum קַדֵּ֣שׁ and consecrate qad·dêš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעָ֔ם the people , hā·‘ām וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ saying , wə·’ā·mar·tā הִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּ ‘ Consecrate yourselves hiṯ·qad·də·šū לְמָחָ֑ר for tomorrow , lə·mā·ḥār כִּ֣י for kî כֹה֩ this is what ḵōh יְהוָ֜ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֨ר says : ’ā·mar בְּקִרְבְּךָ֙ Among you , bə·qir·bə·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל O Israel , yiś·rā·’êl חֵ֤רֶם there are things devoted to destruction . ḥê·rem לֹ֣א You cannot lō תוּכַ֗ל . . . ṯū·ḵal לָקוּם֙ stand lā·qūm לִפְנֵ֣י against lip̄·nê אֹיְבֶ֔יךָ your enemies ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הֲסִירְכֶ֥ם you remove hă·sî·rə·ḵem הַחֵ֖רֶם [them] ha·ḥê·rem מִֽקִּרְבְּכֶֽם׃ - . miq·qir·bə·ḵem Joshua 7:14 בַּבֹּ֖קֶר In the morning bab·bō·qer וְנִקְרַבְתֶּ֥ם you must present yourselves wə·niq·raḇ·tem לְשִׁבְטֵיכֶ֑ם tribe by tribe . lə·šiḇ·ṭê·ḵem וְהָיָ֡ה . . . wə·hā·yāh הַשֵּׁבֶט֩ The tribe haš·šê·ḇeṭ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh יִלְכְּדֶ֨נּוּ selects yil·kə·ḏen·nū יִקְרַ֣ב shall come forward yiq·raḇ לַמִּשְׁפָּח֗וֹת clan by clan , lam·miš·pā·ḥō·wṯ וְהַמִּשְׁפָּחָ֞ה and the clan wə·ham·miš·pā·ḥāh אֲשֶֽׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh יִלְכְּדֶ֤נָּה selects yil·kə·ḏen·nāh תִּקְרַ֣ב shall come forward tiq·raḇ לַבָּתִּ֔ים family by family , lab·bāt·tîm וְהַבַּ֙יִת֙ and the family wə·hab·ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh יִלְכְּדֶ֣נּוּ selects yil·kə·ḏen·nū יִקְרַ֖ב shall come forward yiq·raḇ לַגְּבָרִֽים׃ man by man . lag·gə·ḇā·rîm
