ד֤וֹר generation — ḏō·wr בָּנִ֖ים children bā·nîm לֹא־ vvv lō- אֵמֻ֥ן of unfaithfulness ’ê·mun בָּֽם׃ . bām Deuteronomy 32:21 הֵ֚ם They hêm קִנְא֣וּנִי have provoked My jealousy qin·’ū·nî בְלֹא־ by [that which is] not ḇə·lō- אֵ֔ל God ; ’êl כִּעֲס֖וּנִי they have enraged Me ki·‘ă·sū·nî בְּהַבְלֵיהֶ֑ם with their worthless idols . bə·haḇ·lê·hem וַאֲנִי֙ So I wa·’ă·nî אַקְנִיאֵ֣ם will make them jealous ’aq·nî·’êm בְּלֹא־ by those who are not bə·lō- עָ֔ם a people ; ‘ām אַכְעִיסֵֽם׃ I will make them angry ’aḵ·‘î·sêm בְּג֥וֹי by a nation bə·ḡō·w נָבָ֖ל without understanding . nā·ḇāl Deuteronomy 32:22 כִּי־ For kî- אֵשׁ֙ a fire ’êš קָדְחָ֣ה has been kindled qā·ḏə·ḥāh בְאַפִּ֔י by My anger , ḇə·’ap·pî וַתִּיקַ֖ד and it burns wat·tî·qaḏ עַד־ to ‘aḏ- תַּחְתִּ֑ית the depths taḥ·tîṯ שְׁא֣וֹל of Sheol ; šə·’ō·wl וַתֹּ֤אכַל it consumes wat·tō·ḵal אֶ֙רֶץ֙ the earth ’e·reṣ וִֽיבֻלָ֔הּ and its produce , wî·ḇu·lāh וַתְּלַהֵ֖ט and scorches wat·tə·la·hêṭ מוֹסְדֵ֥י the foundations mō·ws·ḏê הָרִֽים׃ of the mountains . hā·rîm Deuteronomy 32:23 אַסְפֶּ֥ה I will heap ’as·peh רָע֑וֹת disasters rā·‘ō·wṯ עָלֵ֖ימוֹ upon them ; ‘ā·lê·mōw אֲכַלֶּה־ I will spend ’ă·ḵal·leh- חִצַּ֖י My arrows ḥiṣ·ṣay בָּֽם׃ against them . bām Deuteronomy 32:24 מְזֵ֥י They will be wasted mə·zê רָעָ֛ב from hunger rā·‘āḇ וּלְחֻ֥מֵי and ravaged ū·lə·ḥu·mê רֶ֖שֶׁף by pestilence re·šep̄ מְרִירִ֑י and bitter mə·rî·rî וְקֶ֣טֶב plague ; wə·qe·ṭeḇ אֲשַׁלַּח־ I will send ’ă·šal·laḥ- וְשֶׁן־ the fangs wə·šen- בְּהֵמוֹת֙ of wild beasts bə·hê·mō·wṯ בָּ֔ם against them , bām עִם־ with ‘im- חֲמַ֖ת the venom ḥă·maṯ זֹחֲלֵ֥י of vipers that slither zō·ḥă·lê עָפָֽר׃ in the dust . ‘ā·p̄ār Deuteronomy 32:25 מִחוּץ֙ Outside , mi·ḥūṣ חֶ֔רֶב the sword ḥe·reḇ תְּשַׁכֶּל־ will take their children , tə·šak·kel- וּמֵחֲדָרִ֖ים and inside , ū·mê·ḥă·ḏā·rîm אֵימָ֑ה terror will strike ’ê·māh בָּחוּר֙ the young man bā·ḥūr גַּם־ . . . gam- גַּם־ and gam- בְּתוּלָ֔ה the young woman , bə·ṯū·lāh יוֹנֵ֖ק the infant yō·w·nêq עִם־ and ‘im- שֵׂיבָֽה׃ the gray-haired śê·ḇāh אִ֥ישׁ man . ’îš Deuteronomy 32:26 אָמַ֖רְתִּי I would have said that ’ā·mar·tî אַפְאֵיהֶ֑ם I would cut them to pieces ’ap̄·’ê·hem אַשְׁבִּ֥יתָה and blot out ’aš·bî·ṯāh זִכְרָֽם׃ their memory ziḵ·rām מֵאֱנ֖וֹשׁ from mankind , mê·’ĕ·nō·wōš Deuteronomy 32:27 לוּלֵ֗י if I had not lū·lê אָג֔וּר dreaded ’ā·ḡūr פֶּֽן־ . . . pen- כַּ֤עַס the taunt ka·‘as אוֹיֵב֙ of the enemy , ’ō·w·yêḇ פֶּן־ lest pen- צָרֵ֑ימוֹ their adversaries ṣā·rê·mōw יְנַכְּר֖וּ misunderstand yə·nak·kə·rū יֹֽאמְרוּ֙ and say : yō·mə·rū
