Deuteronomy 2:4 וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- צַ֣ו and command ṣaw לֵאמֹר֒ . . . lê·mōr הָעָם֮ the people : hā·‘ām אַתֶּ֣ם ‘ You ’at·tem עֹֽבְרִ֗ים will pass ‘ō·ḇə·rîm בִּגְבוּל֙ through the territory biḡ·ḇūl אֲחֵיכֶ֣ם of your brothers , ’ă·ḥê·ḵem בְּנֵי־ the descendants bə·nê- עֵשָׂ֔ו of Esau , ‘ê·śāw הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים who live hay·yō·šə·ḇîm בְּשֵׂעִ֑יר in Seir . bə·śê·‘îr וְיִֽירְא֣וּ They will be afraid wə·yî·rə·’ū מִכֶּ֔ם of you , mik·kem מְאֹֽד׃ so you must be very mə·’ōḏ וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖ם careful . wə·niš·mar·tem Deuteronomy 2:5 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּתְגָּר֣וּ provoke tiṯ·gā·rū בָ֔ם them , ḇām כִּ֠י for kî לֹֽא־ I will not lō- אֶתֵּ֤ן give ’et·tên לָכֶם֙ you lā·ḵem מֵֽאַרְצָ֔ם any of their land , mê·’ar·ṣām עַ֖ד not even ‘aḏ מִדְרַ֣ךְ a footprint miḏ·raḵ כַּף־ . . . , kap̄- רָ֑גֶל . . . rā·ḡel כִּֽי־ because kî- נָתַ֖תִּי I have given nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַ֥ר Mount har שֵׂעִֽיר׃ Seir śê·‘îr לְעֵשָׂ֔ו to Esau lə·‘ê·śāw יְרֻשָּׁ֣ה as [his] possession . yə·ruš·šāh Deuteronomy 2:6 תִּשְׁבְּר֧וּ You are to pay tiš·bə·rū מֵֽאִתָּ֛ם them mê·’it·tām בַּכֶּ֖סֶף in silver bak·ke·sep̄ אֹ֣כֶל for the food ’ō·ḵel וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֑ם you eat wa·’ă·ḵal·tem וְגַם־ and wə·ḡam- תִּכְר֧וּ - tiḵ·rū מֵאִתָּ֛ם - mê·’it·tām בַּכֶּ֖סֶף - bak·ke·sep̄ מַ֜יִם the water ma·yim וּשְׁתִיתֶֽם׃ you drink . ’” ū·šə·ṯî·ṯem Deuteronomy 2:7 כִּי֩ Indeed , kî יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בֵּֽרַכְךָ֗ has blessed bê·raḵ·ḵā בְּכֹל֙ you in all bə·ḵōl מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה the work ma·‘ă·śêh יָדֶ֔ךָ of your hands . yā·ḏe·ḵā יָדַ֣ע He has watched over yā·ḏa‘ לֶכְתְּךָ֔ your journey leḵ·tə·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֑ה through this haz·zeh הַגָּדֹ֖ל vast hag·gā·ḏōl הַמִּדְבָּ֥ר wilderness . ham·miḏ·bār יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā עִמָּ֔ךְ has been with you ‘im·māḵ זֶ֣ה׀ these zeh אַרְבָּעִ֣ים forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָ֗ה years , šā·nāh חָסַ֖רְתָּ and you have lacked ḥā·sar·tā לֹ֥א nothing lō דָּבָֽר׃ . . . . dā·ḇār Deuteronomy 2:8 וַֽנַּעֲבֹ֞ר So we passed by wan·na·‘ă·ḇōr מֵאֵ֧ת . . . mê·’êṯ אַחֵ֣ינוּ our brothers , ’a·ḥê·nū בְנֵי־ the descendants ḇə·nê- עֵשָׂ֗ו of Esau , ‘ê·śāw הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֙ who live hay·yō·šə·ḇîm בְּשֵׂעִ֔יר in Seir . bə·śê·‘îr וַנֵּ֙פֶן֙ We turned away wan·nê·p̄en הָֽעֲרָבָ֔ה from the Arabah hā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh מִדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ road , mid·de·reḵ מֵאֵילַ֖ת which comes up from Elath mê·’ê·laṯ וּמֵעֶצְיֹ֣ן vvv ū·mê·‘eṣ·yōn גָּ֑בֶרס and Ezion-geber , gå̄·ḇɛ·rs וַֽנַּעֲבֹ֔ר and traveled wan·na·‘ă·ḇōr דֶּ֖רֶךְ along the road de·reḵ מִדְבַּ֥ר of the Wilderness miḏ·bar מוֹאָֽב׃ of Moab . mō·w·’āḇ
