הָעָם֮the people :hā·‘ām
אַתֶּ֣ם‘ You’at·tem
עֹֽבְרִ֗יםwill pass‘ō·ḇə·rîm
בִּגְבוּל֙through the territorybiḡ·ḇūl
אֲחֵיכֶ֣ם of your brothers , ’ă·ḥê·ḵem
בְּנֵי־the descendantsbə·nê-
עֵשָׂ֔ו of Esau , ‘ê·śāw
הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםwho livehay·yō·šə·ḇîm
בְּשֵׂעִ֑ירin Seir .bə·śê·‘îr
וְיִֽירְא֣וּThey will be afraidwə·yî·rə·’ū
מִכֶּ֔ם of you , mik·kem
מְאֹֽד׃so you must be verymə·’ōḏ
וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םcareful .wə·niš·mar·tem

תִּתְגָּר֣וּprovoketiṯ·gā·rū

יְרֻשָּׁ֣הas [his] possession .yə·ruš·šāh

תִּכְר֧וּ-tiḵ·rū

הַזֶּ֑הthrough thishaz·zeh
הַגָּדֹ֖לvasthag·gā·ḏōl
הַמִּדְבָּ֥רwilderness .ham·miḏ·bār
יְהוָ֤הYHWHYah·weh
אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙your God’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā
עִמָּ֔ךְhas been with you‘im·māḵ
זֶ֣ה׀thesezeh
אַרְבָּעִ֣יםforty’ar·bā·‘îm
שָׁנָ֗ה years , šā·nāh
חָסַ֖רְתָּand you have lackedḥā·sar·tā
לֹ֥אnothing
דָּבָֽר׃. . . .dā·ḇār
Deuteronomy 2:8וַֽנַּעֲבֹ֞רSo we passed bywan·na·‘ă·ḇōr
מֵאֵ֧ת. . .mê·’êṯ
אַחֵ֣ינוּ our brothers , ’a·ḥê·nū
בְנֵי־the descendantsḇə·nê-
עֵשָׂ֗ו of Esau , ‘ê·śāw
הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֙who livehay·yō·šə·ḇîm
בְּשֵׂעִ֔ירin Seir .bə·śê·‘îr
וַנֵּ֙פֶן֙We turned awaywan·nê·p̄en
הָֽעֲרָבָ֔הfrom the Arabahhā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh
מִדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ road , mid·de·reḵ
מֵאֵילַ֖תwhich comes up from Elathmê·’ê·laṯ
וּמֵעֶצְיֹ֣ןvvvū·mê·‘eṣ·yōn
גָּ֑בֶרס and Ezion-geber , gå̄·ḇɛ·rs
וַֽנַּעֲבֹ֔רand traveledwan·na·‘ă·ḇōr
דֶּ֖רֶךְalong the roadde·reḵ
מִדְבַּ֥רof the Wildernessmiḏ·bar
מוֹאָֽב׃of Moab .mō·w·’āḇ
