לִפְנֵי֙ to go ahead of lip̄·nê בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl עַ֛ד until ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אִם־ - ’im- הֲבִֽיאֹנֻ֖ם we have brought them hă·ḇî·’ō·num אֶל־ into ’el- מְקוֹמָ֑ם their place . mə·qō·w·mām טַפֵּ֙נוּ֙ Meanwhile, our little ones ṭap·pê·nū וְיָשַׁ֤ב will remain wə·yā·šaḇ הַמִּבְצָ֔ר in the fortified ham·miḇ·ṣār בְּעָרֵ֣י cities bə·‘ā·rê מִפְּנֵ֖י for protection from mip·pə·nê יֹשְׁבֵ֥י the inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the land . hā·’ā·reṣ Numbers 32:18 לֹ֥א We will not lō נָשׁ֖וּב return nā·šūḇ אֶל־ to ’el- בָּתֵּ֑ינוּ our homes bāt·tê·nū עַ֗ד until ‘aḏ אִ֖ישׁ every ’îš בְּנֵ֣י Israelite bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl הִתְנַחֵל֙ has taken possession of hiṯ·na·ḥêl נַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃ his inheritance . na·ḥă·lā·ṯōw Numbers 32:19 כִּ֣י Yet kî לֹ֤א we will not lō נִנְחַל֙ have an inheritance nin·ḥal אִתָּ֔ם with them ’it·tām מֵעֵ֥בֶר across mê·‘ê·ḇer לַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן the Jordan lay·yar·dên וָהָ֑לְאָה and beyond , wā·hā·lə·’āh כִּ֣י because kî בָ֤אָה . . . ḇā·’āh נַחֲלָתֵ֙נוּ֙ our inheritance na·ḥă·lā·ṯê·nū אֵלֵ֔ינוּ has come to us ’ê·lê·nū מִזְרָֽחָה׃פ on the east miz·rā·ḥāh מֵעֵ֥בֶר side mê·‘ê·ḇer הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן of the Jordan . ” hay·yar·dên Numbers 32:20 מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied way·yō·mer אֲלֵיהֶם֙ - , ’ă·lê·hem אִֽם־ “ If ’im- תַּעֲשׂ֖וּן you will do ta·‘ă·śūn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדָּבָ֣ר - had·dā·ḇār הַזֶּ֑ה this — haz·zeh אִם־ if ’im- תֵּחָֽלְצ֛וּ you will arm yourselves tê·ḥā·lə·ṣū לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ for battle , lam·mil·ḥā·māh Numbers 32:21 כָּל־ and if every one kāl- חָל֛וּץ of your armed men ḥā·lūṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְעָבַ֨ר crosses wə·‘ā·ḇar לָכֶ֧ם lā·ḵem הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן the Jordan hay·yar·dên לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh עַ֧ד until ‘aḏ הוֹרִישׁ֛וֹ He has driven hō·w·rî·šōw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֹיְבָ֖יו His enemies ’ō·yə·ḇāw מִפָּנָֽיו׃ out before Him , mip·pā·nāw Numbers 32:22 הָאָ֜רֶץ then when the land hā·’ā·reṣ וְנִכְבְּשָׁ֨ה is subdued wə·niḵ·bə·šāh לִפְנֵ֤י before lip̄·nê יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh וְאַחַ֣ר - wə·’a·ḥar תָּשֻׁ֔בוּ you may return tā·šu·ḇū וִהְיִיתֶ֧ם and be wih·yî·ṯem נְקִיִּ֛ים free nə·qî·yîm מֵיְהוָ֖ה of obligation to YHWH Yah·weh וּמִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑ל and to Israel . ū·mî·yiś·rā·’êl הַזֹּ֥את And this haz·zōṯ הָאָ֨רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ וְ֠הָיְתָה will belong wə·hā·yə·ṯāh לָכֶ֛ם to you lā·ḵem לַאֲחֻזָּ֖ה as a possession la·’ă·ḥuz·zāh לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH .
