הָאֲנָשִׁ֜ים of the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm עֶשְׂרִ֤ים twenty ‘eś·rîm מִבֶּ֨ן years of age mib·ben שָׁנָה֙ . . . šā·nāh וָמַ֔עְלָה or older wā·ma‘·lāh אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ הָעֹלִ֣ים who came hā·‘ō·lîm מִמִּצְרַ֗יִם out of Egypt mim·miṣ·ra·yim יִרְא֨וּ will see yir·’ū הָאֲדָמָ֔ה the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer נִשְׁבַּ֛עְתִּי I swore niš·ba‘·tî לְאַבְרָהָ֥ם to give Abraham , lə·’aḇ·rā·hām לְיִצְחָ֖ק Isaac , lə·yiṣ·ḥāq וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֑ב and Jacob — ū·lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ Numbers 32:12 בִּלְתִּ֞י not one except bil·tî כָּלֵ֤ב Caleb kā·lêḇ בֶּן־ son ben- יְפֻנֶּה֙ of Jephunneh yə·p̄un·neh הַקְּנִזִּ֔י the Kenizzite haq·qə·niz·zî וִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ and Joshua wî·hō·wō·šu·a‘ בִּן־ son bin- נ֑וּן of Nun — nūn כִּ֥י because kî אַחֲרֵ֥י they did follow ’a·ḥă·rê יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh מִלְא֖וּ wholeheartedly . ’ mil·’ū Numbers 32:13 אַ֤ף The anger ’ap̄ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּֽחַר־ burned way·yi·ḥar- בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל against Israel , bə·yiś·rā·’êl וַיְנִעֵם֙ and He made them wander way·ni·‘êm בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר in the wilderness bam·miḏ·bār אַרְבָּעִ֖ים forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָ֑ה years , šā·nāh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- כָּל־ the whole kāl- הַדּ֔וֹר generation had·dō·wr הָעֹשֶׂ֥ה who had done hā·‘ō·śeh הָרַ֖ע evil hā·ra‘ יְהוָֽה׃ in [His] Yah·weh בְּעֵינֵ֥י sight bə·‘ê·nê תֹּם֙ was gone . tōm Numbers 32:14 וְהִנֵּ֣ה Now behold , wə·hin·nêh תַּרְבּ֖וּת you, a brood tar·būṯ אֲנָשִׁ֣ים ’ă·nā·šîm חַטָּאִ֑ים of sinners , ḥaṭ·ṭā·’îm קַמְתֶּ֗ם have risen up qam·tem תַּ֚חַת in place ta·ḥaṯ אֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם of your fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem ע֗וֹד to further ‘ō·wḏ לִסְפּ֣וֹת stoke lis·pō·wṯ עַ֛ל . . . ‘al חֲר֥וֹן the burning ḥă·rō·wn אַף־ anger ’ap̄- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֶל־ against ’el- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 32:15 כִּ֤י For if kî תְשׁוּבֻן֙ you turn away ṯə·šū·ḇun מֵֽאַחֲרָ֔יו from following Him , mê·’a·ḥă·rāw וְיָסַ֣ף He will once again wə·yā·sap̄ ע֔וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ לְהַנִּיח֖וֹ leave lə·han·nî·ḥōw הַזֶּֽה׃ס this haz·zeh הָעָ֥ם people hā·‘ām בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר in the wilderness , bam·miḏ·bār וְשִֽׁחַתֶּ֖ם and you will be the cause of their destruction wə·ši·ḥat·tem לְכָל־ . . . . ” lə·ḵāl Numbers 32:16 וַיִּגְּשׁ֤וּ Then [the Gadites and Reubenites] approached way·yig·gə·šū אֵלָיו֙ [Moses] ’ê·lāw וַ֣יֹּאמְר֔וּ and said , way·yō·mə·rū נִבְנֶ֥ה “ We want to build niḇ·neh גִּדְרֹ֥ת sheepfolds giḏ·rōṯ צֹ֛אן . . . ṣōn פֹּ֑ה here pōh לְמִקְנֵ֖נוּ for our livestock lə·miq·nê·nū וְעָרִ֖ים and cities wə·‘ā·rîm לְטַפֵּֽנוּ׃ for our little ones . lə·ṭap·pê·nū Numbers 32:17 וַאֲנַ֜חְנוּ But we wa·’ă·naḥ·nū נֵחָלֵ֣ץ will arm ourselves nê·ḥā·lêṣ חֻשִׁ֗ים and be ready ḥu·šîm
