מִ֣י who mî יְקִימֶ֑נּוּ dares to rouse him ? yə·qî·men·nū בָר֔וּךְ Blessed are ḇā·rūḵ מְבָרֲכֶ֣יךָ those who bless you mə·ḇā·ră·ḵe·ḵā אָרֽוּר׃ and cursed are ’ā·rūr וְאֹרְרֶ֖יךָ those who curse you . ” wə·’ō·rə·re·ḵā Numbers 24:10 בָּלָק֙ Then Balak’s bā·lāq אַ֤ף anger ’ap̄ וַיִּֽחַר־ burned way·yi·ḥar- אֶל־ against ’el- בִּלְעָ֔ם Balaam , bil·‘ām כַּפָּ֑יו and he struck his hands kap·pāw וַיִּסְפֹּ֖ק together way·yis·pōq אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיֹּ֨אמֶר and said way·yō·mer בָּלָ֜ק . . . bā·lāq אֶל־ to ’el- בִּלְעָ֗ם Balaam , bil·‘ām קְרָאתִ֔יךָ “ I summoned you qə·rā·ṯî·ḵā לָקֹ֤ב to curse lā·qōḇ אֹֽיְבַי֙ my enemies , ’ō·yə·ḇay וְהִנֵּה֙ but behold , wə·hin·nêh בֵּרַ֣כְתָּ you have persisted bê·raḵ·tā בָרֵ֔ךְ in blessing ḇā·rêḵ זֶ֖ה [them] these zeh שָׁלֹ֥שׁ three šā·lōš פְּעָמִֽים׃ times . pə·‘ā·mîm Numbers 24:11 בְּרַח־ Therefore , flee bə·raḥ- וְעַתָּ֖ה at once wə·‘at·tāh אֶל־ to ’el- לְךָ֣ your lə·ḵā מְקוֹמֶ֑ךָ home ! mə·qō·w·me·ḵā אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ I said ’ā·mar·tî כַּבֵּ֣ד I would richly reward you kab·bêḏ אֲכַבֶּדְךָ֔ . . . , ’ă·ḵab·beḏ·ḵā וְהִנֵּ֛ה but instead wə·hin·nêh יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh מְנָעֲךָ֥ has denied mə·nā·‘ă·ḵā מִכָּבֽוֹד׃ your reward . ” mik·kā·ḇō·wḏ Numbers 24:12 בִּלְעָ֖ם Balaam bil·‘ām אֶל־ . . . ’el- וַיֹּ֥אמֶר answered way·yō·mer בָּלָ֑ק Balak , bā·lāq הֲלֹ֗א “ Did I not hă·lō גַּ֧ם already gam אֶל־ . . . ’el- דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי tell dib·bar·tî לֵאמֹֽר׃ . . . lê·mōr מַלְאָכֶ֛יךָ the messengers mal·’ā·ḵe·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- שָׁלַ֥חְתָּ you sent me šā·laḥ·tā אֵלַ֖י . . . ’ê·lay Numbers 24:13 אִם־ that even if ’im- בָלָ֜ק Balak ḇā·lāq יִתֶּן־ were to give yit·ten- לִ֨י me lî בֵיתוֹ֮ his house ḇê·ṯōw מְלֹ֣א full mə·lō כֶּ֣סֶף of silver ke·sep̄ וְזָהָב֒ and gold , wə·zā·hāḇ אוּכַ֗ל I could ’ū·ḵal לֹ֣א not lō לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת do la·‘ă·śō·wṯ מִלִּבִּ֑י anything of my own accord , mil·lib·bî טוֹבָ֛ה good ṭō·w·ḇāh א֥וֹ or ’ōw רָעָ֖ה bad , rā·‘āh לַעֲבֹר֙ to go beyond la·‘ă·ḇōr פִּ֣י the command pî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH ? Yah·weh יְדַבֵּ֥ר I will speak yə·ḏab·bêr אֲשֶׁר־ whatever ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֹת֥וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw אֲדַבֵּֽר׃ says . ’ă·ḏab·bêr Numbers 24:14 וְעַתָּ֕ה Now wə·‘at·tāh הִנְנִ֥י . . . hin·nî הוֹלֵ֖ךְ I am going back hō·w·lêḵ לְעַמִּ֑י to my people , lə·‘am·mî לְכָה֙ but come , lə·ḵāh אִיעָ֣צְךָ֔ let me warn you ’î·‘ā·ṣə·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֨ר what ’ă·šer הַזֶּ֛ה this haz·zeh הָעָ֥ם people hā·‘ām
