מִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת miš·me·reṯ הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ of the altar , ham·miz·bê·aḥ קֶ֖צֶף so that wrath qe·ṣep̄ וְלֹֽא־ may not wə·lō- יִהְיֶ֥ה fall yih·yeh עַל־ on ‘al- בְּנֵ֥י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ . . . yiś·rā·’êl ע֛וֹד again . ‘ō·wḏ Numbers 18:6 הִנֵּ֤ה Behold , hin·nêh וַאֲנִ֗י I Myself wa·’ă·nî לָקַ֙חְתִּי֙ have selected lā·qaḥ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲחֵיכֶ֣ם your fellow ’ă·ḥê·ḵem הַלְוִיִּ֔ם Levites hal·wî·yim מִתּ֖וֹךְ from mit·tō·wḵ בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl מַתָּנָ֤ה as a gift mat·tā·nāh לָכֶ֞ם to you , lā·ḵem נְתֻנִים֙ dedicated nə·ṯu·nîm לַֽיהוָ֔ה to YHWH Yah·weh לַעֲבֹ֕ד to perform la·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ ’eṯ- עֲבֹדַ֖ת the service ‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ אֹ֥הֶל for the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵֽד׃ of Meeting . mō·w·‘êḏ Numbers 18:7 וְאַתָּ֣ה But only you wə·’at·tāh וּבָנֶ֣יךָ and your sons ū·ḇā·ne·ḵā אִ֠תְּךָ . . . ’it·tə·ḵā תִּשְׁמְר֨וּ shall attend tiš·mə·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כְּהֻנַּתְכֶ֜ם to your priesthood kə·hun·naṯ·ḵem לְכָל־ for everything lə·ḵāl דְּבַ֧ר concerning də·ḇar הַמִּזְבֵּ֛חַ the altar ham·miz·bê·aḥ וּלְמִבֵּ֥ית and what is inside ū·lə·mib·bêṯ לַפָּרֹ֖כֶת the veil , lap·pā·rō·ḵeṯ וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֑ם and you are to perform that service . wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem אֶתֵּן֙ I am giving ’et·tên אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲבֹדַ֣ת you the work ‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ כְּהֻנַּתְכֶ֔ם of the priesthood kə·hun·naṯ·ḵem מַתָּנָ֗ה as a gift , mat·tā·nāh וְהַזָּ֥ר but any outsider wə·haz·zār הַקָּרֵ֖ב who comes near [the sanctuary] haq·qā·rêḇ יוּמָֽת׃ס must be put to death . ” yū·māṯ Numbers 18:8 יְהוָה֮ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶֽל־ to ’el- אַהֲרֹן֒ Aaron , ’a·hă·rōn הִנֵּ֣ה “ Behold , hin·nêh וַאֲנִי֙ I wa·’ă·nî נָתַ֣תִּֽי have put nā·ṯat·tî לְךָ֔ you lə·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת in charge miš·me·reṯ תְּרוּמֹתָ֑י of My offerings . tə·rū·mō·ṯāy לְכָל־ As for all lə·ḵāl קָדְשֵׁ֣י the sacred offerings qā·ḏə·šê בְנֵֽי־ vvv ḇə·nê- יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל of the Israelites , yiś·rā·’êl נְתַתִּ֧ים I have given them nə·ṯat·tîm לְךָ֨ to you lə·ḵā וּלְבָנֶ֖יךָ and your sons ū·lə·ḇā·ne·ḵā לְמָשְׁחָ֛ה as a portion lə·mā·šə·ḥāh עוֹלָֽם׃ and a permanent ‘ō·w·lām לְחָק־ statute . lə·ḥāq- Numbers 18:9 זֶֽה־ - zeh- מִן־ A portion of min- מִקֹּ֥דֶשׁ the most holy offerings miq·qō·ḏeš הַקֳּדָשִׁ֖ים . . . haq·qo·ḏā·šîm הָאֵ֑שׁ [reserved] from the fire hā·’êš יִהְיֶ֥ה will be yih·yeh לְךָ֛ yours . lə·ḵā כָּל־ From all kāl- קָ֠רְבָּנָם the offerings qā·rə·bā·nām לְֽכָל־ . . . lə·ḵāl אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer יָשִׁ֣יבוּ they render yā·šî·ḇū לִ֔י to Me lî קֹ֣דֶשׁ as most holy [offerings] qō·ḏeš קָֽדָשִׁ֥ים . . . , qā·ḏā·šîm מִנְחָתָ֞ם whether grain offerings min·ḥā·ṯām וּלְכָל־ . . . ū·lə·ḵāl- חַטָּאתָ֗ם or sin offerings ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām וּלְכָל־ . . . ū·lə·ḵāl- אֲשָׁמָם֙ or guilt offerings , ’ă·šā·mām
