Genesis 18:4 מְעַט־ Let a little mə·‘aṭ- מַ֔יִם water ma·yim יֻקַּֽח־ be brought , yuq·qaḥ- נָ֣א . . . nā וְרַחֲצ֖וּ that you may wash wə·ra·ḥă·ṣū רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם your feet raḡ·lê·ḵem וְהִֽשָּׁעֲנ֖וּ and rest wə·hiš·šā·‘ă·nū תַּ֥חַת yourselves under ta·ḥaṯ הָעֵֽץ׃ the tree . hā·‘êṣ Genesis 18:5 וְאֶקְחָ֨ה And I will bring wə·’eq·ḥāh פַת־ a bit p̄aṯ- לֶ֜חֶם of bread le·ḥem וְסַעֲד֤וּ so that you may refresh wə·sa·‘ă·ḏū לִבְּכֶם֙ yourselves . lib·bə·ḵem כִּֽי־ This is why kî- עַל־ . . . ‘al- כֵּ֥ן . . . kên תַּעֲבֹ֔רוּ you have passed ta·‘ă·ḇō·rū עַבְדְּכֶ֑ם your servant’s way . ‘aḇ·də·ḵem אַחַ֣ר After that , ’a·ḥar עֲבַרְתֶּ֖ם you may continue on your way ‘ă·ḇar·tem עַֽל־ . . . . ” ‘al- כֵּ֥ן “ Yes , ” kên וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ they replied , way·yō·mə·rū תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה “ you may do ta·‘ă·śeh כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃ you have said . ” dib·bar·tā Genesis 18:6 אַבְרָהָ֛ם So Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām וַיְמַהֵ֧ר hurried way·ma·hêr הָאֹ֖הֱלָה into the tent hā·’ō·hĕ·lāh וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- שָׂרָ֑ה Sarah , śā·rāh מַהֲרִ֞י “ Quick! Prepare ma·hă·rî שְׁלֹ֤שׁ three šə·lōš סְאִים֙ seahs sə·’îm סֹ֔לֶת of fine sō·leṯ קֶ֣מַח flour , qe·maḥ ל֖וּשִׁי knead it , lū·šî וַעֲשִׂ֥י and bake wa·‘ă·śî עֻגֽוֹת׃ some bread . ” ‘u·ḡō·wṯ Genesis 18:7 אַבְרָהָ֑ם Meanwhile, Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām רָ֣ץ ran rāṣ וְאֶל־ to wə·’el- הַבָּקָ֖ר the herd , hab·bā·qār וַיִּקַּ֨ח selected way·yiq·qaḥ רַ֤ךְ a tender raḵ וָטוֹב֙ and choice wā·ṭō·wḇ בֶּן־ calf ben- בָּקָ֜ר . . . , bā·qār וַיִּתֵּ֣ן and gave way·yit·tên אֶל־ it to ’el- הַנַּ֔עַר a servant , han·na·‘ar וַיְמַהֵ֖ר who hurried way·ma·hêr לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to prepare la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֹתֽוֹ׃ it . ’ō·ṯōw Genesis 18:8 וַיִּקַּ֨ח Then Abraham brought way·yiq·qaḥ חֶמְאָ֜ה curds ḥem·’āh וְחָלָ֗ב and milk wə·ḥā·lāḇ וּבֶן־ and the calf ū·ḇen- הַבָּקָר֙ . . . hab·bā·qār אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer עָשָׂ֔ה had been prepared , ‘ā·śāh וַיִּתֵּ֖ן and he set them way·yit·tên לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם before the men lip̄·nê·hem וְהֽוּא־ and wə·hū- עֹמֵ֧ד stood ‘ō·mêḏ עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם by them ‘ă·lê·hem תַּ֥חַת under ta·ḥaṯ הָעֵ֖ץ the tree hā·‘êṣ וַיֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃ as they ate . way·yō·ḵê·lū Genesis 18:9 אַיֵּ֖ה “ Where ’ay·yêh אִשְׁתֶּ֑ךָ is your wife ’iš·te·ḵā שָׂרָ֣ה Sarah ? ” śā·rāh וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ they asked . way·yō·mə·rū אֵׄלָׄ֔יׄוׄ . . . ʾē·lå̄w הִנֵּ֥ה “ There , hin·nêh בָאֹֽהֶל׃ in the tent , ” ḇā·’ō·hel וַיֹּ֖אמֶר he replied . way·yō·mer Genesis 18:10 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר Then YHWH said , way·yō·mer
