Numbers 11:5 זָכַ֙רְנוּ֙ We remember zā·ḵar·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדָּגָ֔ה the fish had·dā·ḡāh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- נֹאכַ֥ל we ate nō·ḵal חִנָּ֑ם freely ḥin·nām אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ בְּמִצְרַ֖יִם in Egypt , bə·miṣ·ra·yim הַקִּשֻּׁאִ֗ים along with the cucumbers , haq·qiš·šu·’îm וְאֵת֙ - wə·’êṯ הָֽאֲבַטִּחִ֔ים melons , hā·’ă·ḇaṭ·ṭi·ḥîm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הֶחָצִ֥יר leeks , he·ḥā·ṣîr וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַבְּצָלִ֖ים onions , hab·bə·ṣā·lîm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַשּׁוּמִֽים׃ and garlic . haš·šū·mîm Numbers 11:6 וְעַתָּ֛ה But now wə·‘at·tāh נַפְשֵׁ֥נוּ our appetite nap̄·šê·nū יְבֵשָׁ֖ה is gone ; yə·ḇê·šāh אֵ֣ין there is nothing ’ên כֹּ֑ל . . . kōl עֵינֵֽינוּ׃ to see ‘ê·nê·nū בִּלְתִּ֖י but bil·tî אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַמָּ֥ן this manna ! ” ham·mān Numbers 11:7 וְהַמָּ֕ן Now the manna wə·ham·mān גַּ֖ד resembled coriander gaḏ ה֑וּא . . . hū כִּזְרַע־ seed , kiz·ra‘- וְעֵינ֖וֹ and its appearance wə·‘ê·nōw כְּעֵ֥ין was like that kə·‘ên הַבְּדֹֽלַח׃ of gum resin . hab·bə·ḏō·laḥ Numbers 11:8 הָעָ֨ם The people hā·‘ām שָׁטוּ֩ walked around šā·ṭū וְלָֽקְט֜וּ and gathered it , wə·lā·qə·ṭū וְטָחֲנ֣וּ ground it wə·ṭā·ḥă·nū בָרֵחַ֗יִם on a handmill ḇā·rê·ḥa·yim א֤וֹ or ’ōw דָכוּ֙ crushed it ḏā·ḵū בַּמְּדֹכָ֔ה in a mortar , bam·mə·ḏō·ḵāh וּבִשְּׁלוּ֙ then boiled ū·ḇiš·šə·lū בַּפָּר֔וּר it in a cooking pot bap·pā·rūr וְעָשׂ֥וּ or shaped it into wə·‘ā·śū אֹת֖וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw עֻג֑וֹת cakes . ‘u·ḡō·wṯ וְהָיָ֣ה . . . wə·hā·yāh טַעְמ֔וֹ It tasted ṭa‘·mōw כְּטַ֖עַם . . . kə·ṭa·‘am לְשַׁ֥ד like pastry lə·šaḏ הַשָּֽׁמֶן׃ baked with fine oil . haš·šā·men Numbers 11:9 הַטַּ֛ל When the dew haṭ·ṭal וּבְרֶ֧דֶת fell ū·ḇə·re·ḏeṯ עַל־ on ‘al- הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה the camp ham·ma·ḥă·neh לָ֑יְלָה at night , lā·yə·lāh הַמָּ֖ן the manna ham·mān יֵרֵ֥ד would fall yê·rêḏ עָלָֽיו׃ with it . ‘ā·lāw Numbers 11:10 מֹשֶׁ֜ה Then Moses mō·šeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע heard way·yiš·ma‘ הָעָ֗ם the people hā·‘ām לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֔יו of family lə·miš·pə·ḥō·ṯāw אִ֖ישׁ after family ’îš בֹּכֶה֙ weeping bō·ḵeh לְפֶ֣תַח at the entrances lə·p̄e·ṯaḥ אָהֳל֑וֹ to their tents , ’ā·ho·lōw אַ֤ף and the anger ’ap̄ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּֽחַר־ was kindled way·yi·ḥar- מְאֹ֔ד greatly , mə·’ōḏ מֹשֶׁ֖ה and Moses mō·šeh וּבְעֵינֵ֥י was also displeased ū·ḇə·‘ê·nê רָֽע׃ . . . . rā‘ Numbers 11:11 מֹשֶׁ֜ה So Moses mō·šeh אֶל־ . . . ’el- וַיֹּ֨אמֶר asked way·yō·mer יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh
