אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִוָּ֤ה had commanded ṣiw·wāh מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses . mō·šeh כֵּ֥ן . . . kên Numbers 9:6 וַיְהִ֣י But there were way·hî אֲנָשִׁ֗ים some men ’ă·nā·šîm אֲשֶׁ֨ר who ’ă·šer הָי֤וּ were hā·yū טְמֵאִים֙ unclean ṭə·mê·’îm אָדָ֔ם due to a dead body ’ā·ḏām לְנֶ֣פֶשׁ . . . , lə·ne·p̄eš יָכְל֥וּ so they could yā·ḵə·lū וְלֹא־ not wə·lō- לַעֲשֹׂת־ observe la·‘ă·śōṯ- הַפֶּ֖סַח the Passover hap·pe·saḥ הַה֑וּא on that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day . bay·yō·wm וַֽיִּקְרְב֞וּ And they came way·yiq·rə·ḇū לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê מֹשֶׁ֛ה Moses mō·šeh וְלִפְנֵ֥י . . . wə·lip̄·nê אַהֲרֹ֖ן and Aaron ’a·hă·rōn הַהֽוּא׃ that same ha·hū בַּיּ֥וֹם day bay·yō·wm Numbers 9:7 וַ֠יֹּאמְרוּ and said way·yō·mə·rū הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים . . . hā·’ă·nā·šîm הָהֵ֙מָּה֙ . . . hā·hêm·māh אֵלָ֔יו to [Moses] , ’ê·lāw אֲנַ֥חְנוּ “ We ’ă·naḥ·nū טְמֵאִ֖ים are unclean ṭə·mê·’îm אָדָ֑ם because of a dead body ’ā·ḏām לְנֶ֣פֶשׁ . . . , lə·ne·p̄eš לָ֣מָּה but why lām·māh נִגָּרַ֗ע should we be excluded nig·gā·ra‘ לְבִלְתִּ֨י from lə·ḇil·tî הַקְרִ֜ב presenting haq·riḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָה֙ YHWH’s Yah·weh קָרְבַּ֤ן offering qā·rə·ban בְּת֖וֹךְ with bə·ṯō·wḵ בְּנֵ֥י the other Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ . . . yiś·rā·’êl בְּמֹ֣עֲד֔וֹ at the appointed time ? ” bə·mō·‘ă·ḏōw Numbers 9:8 עִמְד֣וּ “ Wait here ‘im·ḏū וְאֶשְׁמְעָ֔ה until I find out wə·’eš·mə·‘āh מַה־ what mah- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh יְצַוֶּ֥ה commands yə·ṣaw·weh לָכֶֽם׃פ concerning you , ” lā·ḵem מֹשֶׁ֑ה Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֥אמֶר replied way·yō·mer אֲלֵהֶ֖ם - . ’ă·lê·hem Numbers 9:9 יְהוָ֖ה Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֥ה Moses mō·šeh לֵּאמֹֽר׃ - , lê·mōr Numbers 9:10 דַּבֵּ֛ר “ Tell dab·bêr אֶל־ . . . ’el- בְּנֵ֥י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל . . . : yiś·rā·’êl לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr כִּי־ ‘ When kî- אִ֣ישׁ any one ’îš אִ֣ישׁ . . . ’îš אוֹ֩ of you or ’ōw לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם your descendants lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem יִהְיֶֽה־ is yih·yeh- טָמֵ֣א׀ unclean ṭā·mê לָנֶ֡פֶשׁ because of a dead body , lā·ne·p̄eš א֚וֹ or ’ōw רְחֹקָ֜הׄ is away rə·ḥō·qå̄h לָכֶ֗ם lā·ḵem בְדֶ֨רֶךְ on a journey , ḇə·ḏe·reḵ וְעָ֥שָׂה he may still observe wə·‘ā·śāh פֶ֖סַח the Passover p̄e·saḥ לַיהוָֽה׃ to YHWH . Yah·weh Numbers 9:11 יַעֲשׂ֣וּ Such people are to observe ya·‘ă·śū אֹת֑וֹ it ’ō·ṯōw בֵּ֥ין at bên הָעַרְבַּ֖יִם twilight hā·‘ar·ba·yim בְּאַרְבָּעָ֨ה on the fourteenth bə·’ar·bā·‘āh
