מוֹעֵד֙ of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to sacrifice la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֹת֖וֹ it ’ō·ṯōw לַיהוָ֑ה to YHWH , Yah·weh הַה֖וּא that ha·hū הָאִ֥ישׁ man hā·’îš וְנִכְרַ֛ת must be cut off wə·niḵ·raṯ מֵעַמָּֽיו׃ from his people . mê·‘am·māw Leviticus 17:10 וְאִ֨ישׁ If anyone wə·’îš אִ֜ישׁ . . . ’îš וּמִן־ from ū·min- מִבֵּ֣ית the house mib·bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl הַגֵּר֙ or a foreigner hag·gêr הַגָּ֣ר living hag·gār בְּתוֹכָ֔ם among them bə·ṯō·w·ḵām אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer יֹאכַ֖ל eats yō·ḵal כָּל־ any kāl- דָּ֑ם blood , dām וְנָתַתִּ֣י I will set wə·nā·ṯat·tî פָנַ֗י My face p̄ā·nay בַּנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ against that person ban·ne·p̄eš הָאֹכֶ֣לֶת - hā·’ō·ḵe·leṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדָּ֔ם - had·dām וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י and cut him off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî אֹתָ֖הּ - ’ō·ṯāh מִקֶּ֥רֶב from among miq·qe·reḇ עַמָּֽהּ׃ his people . ‘am·māh Leviticus 17:11 כִּ֣י For kî נֶ֣פֶשׁ the life ne·p̄eš הַבָּשָׂר֮ of the flesh hab·bā·śār בַּדָּ֣ם is in the blood , bad·dām וַאֲנִ֞י and I wa·’ă·nî נְתַתִּ֤יו have given nə·ṯat·tîw הִוא֒ it hî לָכֶם֙ to you lā·ḵem לְכַפֵּ֖ר to make atonement lə·ḵap·pêr עַל־ for ‘al- נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם your souls nap̄·šō·ṯê·ḵem עַל־ upon ‘al- הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ the altar ; ham·miz·bê·aḥ כִּֽי־ for kî- ה֖וּא it [is] hū הַדָּ֥ם the blood had·dām יְכַפֵּֽר׃ [that] makes atonement yə·ḵap·pêr בַּנֶּ֥פֶשׁ for the soul . ban·ne·p̄eš Leviticus 17:12 עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֤ן . . . kên אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ I say ’ā·mar·tî לִבְנֵ֣י to the Israelites liḇ·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . , yiś·rā·’êl כָּל־ ‘ None kāl- נֶ֥פֶשׁ . . . ne·p̄eš לֹא־ . . . lō- מִכֶּ֖ם of you mik·kem תֹ֣אכַל may eat ṯō·ḵal דָּ֑ם blood , dām לֹא־ nor may lō- וְהַגֵּ֛ר any foreigner wə·hag·gêr הַגָּ֥ר living hag·gār בְּתוֹכְכֶ֖ם among you bə·ṯō·wḵ·ḵem יֹ֥אכַל eat yō·ḵal דָּֽם׃ס blood . ’ dām Leviticus 17:13 וְאִ֨ישׁ And if any wə·’îš אִ֜ישׁ . . . ’îš מִבְּנֵ֣י Israelite mib·bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl וּמִן־ . . . ū·min- הַגֵּר֙ or foreigner hag·gêr הַגָּ֣ר living hag·gār בְּתוֹכָ֔ם among them bə·ṯō·w·ḵām אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer יָצ֜וּד hunts down yā·ṣūḏ חַיָּ֛ה a wild ḥay·yāh צֵ֥יד animal ṣêḏ אוֹ־ or ’ōw- ע֖וֹף bird ‘ō·wp̄ אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer יֵאָכֵ֑ל may be eaten , yê·’ā·ḵêl וְשָׁפַךְ֙ he must drain wə·šā·p̄aḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דָּמ֔וֹ its blood dā·mōw וְכִסָּ֖הוּ and cover wə·ḵis·sā·hū בֶּעָפָֽר׃ it with dirt . be·‘ā·p̄ār
