אֶל־ and go to ’el- הָאָ֖רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אַרְאֶֽךָּ׃ I will show you . ’ar·’e·kā Genesis 12:2 וְאֶֽעֶשְׂךָ֙ I will make wə·’e·‘eś·ḵā גָּד֔וֹל you into a great gā·ḏō·wl לְג֣וֹי nation , lə·ḡō·w וַאֲבָ֣רֶכְךָ֔ and I will bless you ; wa·’ă·ḇā·reḵ·ḵā שְׁמֶ֑ךָ I will make your name šə·me·ḵā וַאֲגַדְּלָ֖ה great , wa·’ă·ḡad·də·lāh וֶהְיֵ֖ה so that you will be weh·yêh בְּרָכָֽה׃ a blessing . bə·rā·ḵāh Genesis 12:3 וַאֲבָֽרֲכָה֙ I will bless wa·’ă·ḇā·ră·ḵāh מְבָ֣רְכֶ֔יךָ those who bless you mə·ḇā·rə·ḵe·ḵā אָאֹ֑ר and curse ’ā·’ōr וּמְקַלֶּלְךָ֖ those who curse you ; ū·mə·qal·lel·ḵā כֹּ֖ל and all kōl מִשְׁפְּחֹ֥ת the families miš·pə·ḥōṯ הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ of the earth hā·’ă·ḏā·māh וְנִבְרְכ֣וּ will be blessed wə·niḇ·rə·ḵū בְךָ֔ through you . ” ḇə·ḵā Genesis 12:4 אַבְרָ֗ם So Abram ’aḇ·rām וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ departed , way·yê·leḵ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֤ר had directed him , dib·ber אֵלָיו֙ . . . ’ê·lāw ל֑וֹט and Lot lō·wṭ וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ went way·yê·leḵ אִתּ֖וֹ with him . ’it·tōw וְאַבְרָ֗ם Abram wə·’aḇ·rām חָמֵ֤שׁ was seventy-five ḥā·mêš וְשִׁבְעִ֣ים . . . wə·šiḇ·‘îm שָׁנָ֔ה years šā·nāh בֶּן־ old ben- שָׁנִים֙ . . . šā·nîm בְּצֵאת֖וֹ when he left bə·ṣê·ṯōw מֵחָרָֽן׃ Haran . mê·ḥā·rān Genesis 12:5 אַבְרָם֩ And Abram ’aḇ·rām וַיִּקַּ֣ח took way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אִשְׁתּ֜וֹ his wife ’iš·tōw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שָׂרַ֨י Sarai , śā·ray בֶּן־ his nephew ben- אָחִ֗יו . . . ’ā·ḥîw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- ל֣וֹט Lot , lō·wṭ כָּל־ and all kāl- רְכוּשָׁם֙ the possessions rə·ḵū·šām אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer רָכָ֔שׁוּ - rā·ḵā·šū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַנֶּ֖פֶשׁ and people han·ne·p̄eš אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עָשׂ֣וּ they had acquired ‘ā·śū בְחָרָ֑ן in Haran , ḇə·ḥā·rān וַיֵּצְא֗וּ and set out way·yê·ṣə·’ū לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ . . . lā·le·ḵeṯ אַ֣רְצָה for the land ’ar·ṣāh כְּנַ֔עַן of Canaan . kə·na·‘an וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ When they came way·yā·ḇō·’ū אַ֥רְצָה to the land ’ar·ṣāh כְּנָֽעַן׃ of Canaan , kə·nā·‘an Genesis 12:6 אַבְרָם֙ Abram ’aḇ·rām וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר traveled way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr בָּאָ֔רֶץ through the land bā·’ā·reṣ עַ֚ד as far as ‘aḏ מְק֣וֹם the site mə·qō·wm עַ֖ד - ‘aḏ אֵל֣וֹן of the Oak ’ê·lō·wn מוֹרֶ֑ה of Moreh mō·w·reh שְׁכֶ֔ם at Shechem . šə·ḵem אָ֥ז And at that time ’āz וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י the Canaanites wə·hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ were in the land . bā·’ā·reṣ Genesis 12:7 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֵּרָ֤א appeared way·yê·rā אֶל־ to ’el- אַבְרָ֔ם Abram ’aḇ·rām וַיֹּ֕אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer אֶתֵּ֖ן “ I will give ’et·tên
