מִן־ from min- הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ the way , had·de·reḵ בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה and your instruction bat·tō·w·rāh רַבִּ֖ים has caused many rab·bîm הִכְשַׁלְתֶּ֥ם to stumble . hiḵ·šal·tem שִֽׁחַתֶּם֙ You have violated ši·ḥat·tem בְּרִ֣ית the covenant bə·rîṯ הַלֵּוִ֔י of Levi , ” hal·lê·wî אָמַ֖ר says ’ā·mar יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאֽוֹת׃ of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ Malachi 2:9 אֲנִ֞י “ So I ’ă·nî וְגַם־ in turn wə·ḡam- נָתַ֧תִּי have made nā·ṯat·tî אֶתְכֶ֛ם - ’eṯ·ḵem נִבְזִ֥ים you despised niḇ·zîm וּשְׁפָלִ֖ים and humiliated ū·šə·p̄ā·lîm לְכָל־ before all lə·ḵāl הָעָ֑ם the people , hā·‘ām כְּפִ֗י because kə·p̄î אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer אֵֽינְכֶם֙ you have not ’ê·nə·ḵem שֹׁמְרִ֣ים kept šō·mə·rîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דְּרָכַ֔י My ways , də·rā·ḵay וְנֹשְׂאִ֥ים but have shown partiality wə·nō·śə·’îm פָּנִ֖ים . . . pā·nîm בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃פ in matters of the law . ” bat·tō·w·rāh Malachi 2:10 הֲל֨וֹא Do we not hă·lō·w לְכֻלָּ֔נוּ all lə·ḵul·lā·nū אֶחָד֙ have one ’e·ḥāḏ אָ֤ב Father ? ’āḇ הֲל֛וֹא Did not hă·lō·w אֶֽחָ֖ד one ’e·ḥāḏ אֵ֥ל God ’êl בְּרָאָ֑נוּ create us ? bə·rā·’ā·nū מַדּ֗וּעַ Why then mad·dū·a‘ נִבְגַּד֙ do we break faith niḇ·gaḏ אִ֣ישׁ with one ’îš בְּאָחִ֔יו another bə·’ā·ḥîw לְחַלֵּ֖ל so as to profane lə·ḥal·lêl בְּרִ֥ית the covenant bə·rîṯ אֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ of our fathers ? ’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū Malachi 2:11 יְהוּדָ֔ה Judah yə·hū·ḏāh בָּגְדָ֣ה has broken faith ; bā·ḡə·ḏāh וְתוֹעֵבָ֛ה an abomination wə·ṯō·w·‘ê·ḇāh נֶעֶשְׂתָ֥ה has been committed ne·‘eś·ṯāh בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל in Israel ḇə·yiś·rā·’êl וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם and in Jerusalem . ū·ḇî·rū·šā·lim כִּ֣י׀ For kî יְהוּדָ֗ה Judah yə·hū·ḏāh חִלֵּ֣ל has profaned ḥil·lêl יְהוָה֙ YHWH’s Yah·weh אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer אָהֵ֔ב beloved ’ā·hêḇ קֹ֤דֶשׁ sanctuary qō·ḏeš וּבָעַ֖ל by marrying ū·ḇā·‘al בַּת־ the daughter baṯ- נֵכָֽר׃ of a foreign nê·ḵār אֵ֥ל god . ’êl Malachi 2:12 לָאִ֨ישׁ [As] for the man lā·’îš אֲשֶׁ֤ר who ’ă·šer יַעֲשֶׂ֙נָּה֙ does this , ya·‘ă·śen·nāh יְהוָ֜ה may YHWH Yah·weh יַכְרֵ֨ת cut off yaḵ·rêṯ מֵאָהֳלֵ֖י from the tents mê·’ā·ho·lê יַֽעֲקֹ֑ב of Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ עֵ֣ר [everyone who is] awake ‘êr וְעֹנֶ֔ה and aware — wə·‘ō·neh וּמַגִּ֣ישׁ even if he brings ū·mag·gîš מִנְחָ֔ה an offering min·ḥāh לַֽיהוָ֖ה to YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאֽוֹת׃פ of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ Malachi 2:13 וְזֹאת֙ And this wə·zōṯ שֵׁנִ֣ית is another šê·nîṯ תַּֽעֲשׂ֔וּ thing you do : ta·‘ă·śū כַּסּ֤וֹת You cover kas·sō·wṯ מִזְבַּ֣ח the altar miz·baḥ יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh דִּמְעָה֙ with tears , dim·‘āh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּכִ֖י with weeping bə·ḵî וַֽאֲנָקָ֑ה and groaning , wa·’ă·nā·qāh מֵאֵ֣ין because He no mê·’ên ע֗וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ
