וְתָחִ֣יל . . . , wə·ṯā·ḥîl וְעֶקְר֖וֹן as will Ekron , wə·‘eq·rō·wn כִּֽי־ for kî- מֶבָּטָ֑הּ her hope meb·bā·ṭāh הֹבִ֣ישׁ will wither . hō·ḇîš וְאָ֤בַד There will cease to be wə·’ā·ḇaḏ מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ a king me·leḵ מֵֽעַזָּ֔ה in Gaza , mê·‘az·zāh וְאַשְׁקְל֖וֹן and Ashkelon wə·’aš·qə·lō·wn לֹ֥א will be uninhabited lō תֵשֵֽׁב׃ . . . . ṯê·šêḇ Zechariah 9:6 מַמְזֵ֖ר A mixed race mam·zêr וְיָשַׁ֥ב will occupy wə·yā·šaḇ בְּאַשְׁדּ֑וֹד Ashdod , bə·’aš·dō·wḏ וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י and I will cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî גְּא֥וֹן the pride gə·’ō·wn פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ of the Philistines . pə·liš·tîm Zechariah 9:7 וַהֲסִרֹתִ֨י I will remove wa·hă·si·rō·ṯî דָמָ֜יו the blood ḏā·māw מִפִּ֗יו from their mouths mip·pîw וְשִׁקֻּצָיו֙ and the abominations wə·šiq·qu·ṣāw מִבֵּ֣ין from between mib·bên שִׁנָּ֔יו their teeth . šin·nāw ה֖וּא Then they hū גַּם־ too gam- וְנִשְׁאַ֥ר will become a remnant wə·niš·’ar לֵֽאלֹהֵ֑ינוּ for our God ; lê·lō·hê·nū וְהָיָה֙ they will become wə·hā·yāh כְּאַלֻּ֣ף like a clan kə·’al·lup̄ בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה in Judah , bî·hū·ḏāh וְעֶקְר֖וֹן and Ekron wə·‘eq·rō·wn כִּיבוּסִֽי׃ will be like the Jebusites . kî·ḇū·sî Zechariah 9:8 וְחָנִ֨יתִי But I will camp around wə·ḥā·nî·ṯî לְבֵיתִ֤י My house lə·ḇê·ṯî מִצָּבָה֙ because of an army , miṣ·ṣā·ḇāh מֵעֹבֵ֣ר because of those who march to and fro mê·‘ō·ḇêr וּמִשָּׁ֔ב . . . , ū·miš·šāḇ וְלֹֽא־ and never again wə·lō- ע֖וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ נֹגֵ֑שׂ will an oppressor nō·ḡêś יַעֲבֹ֧ר overrun ya·‘ă·ḇōr עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם [My people] , ‘ă·lê·hem כִּ֥י for kî עַתָּ֖ה now ‘at·tāh רָאִ֥יתִי I keep watch rā·’î·ṯî בְעֵינָֽי׃ס with My own eyes . ḇə·‘ê·nāy Zechariah 9:9 גִּילִ֨י Rejoice gî·lî מְאֹ֜ד greatly , mə·’ōḏ בַּת־ O Daughter baṯ- צִיּ֗וֹן of Zion ! ṣî·yō·wn הָרִ֙יעִי֙ Shout in triumph , hā·rî·‘î בַּ֣ת O Daughter baṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם of Jerusalem ! yə·rū·šā·lim הִנֵּ֤ה See , hin·nêh מַלְכֵּךְ֙ your King mal·kêḵ יָ֣בוֹא comes yā·ḇō·w לָ֔ךְ to you , lāḵ ה֑וּא hū צַדִּ֥יק righteous ṣad·dîq וְנוֹשָׁ֖ע and victorious , wə·nō·wō·šā‘ עָנִי֙ humble ‘ā·nî וְרֹכֵ֣ב and riding wə·rō·ḵêḇ עַל־ on ‘al- חֲמ֔וֹר a donkey , ḥă·mō·wr וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- עַ֖יִר a colt , ‘a·yir בֶּן־ the foal ben- אֲתֹנֽוֹת׃ of a donkey . ’ă·ṯō·nō·wṯ Zechariah 9:10 וְהִכְרַתִּי־ And I will cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî- רֶ֣כֶב the chariot re·ḵeḇ מֵאֶפְרַ֗יִם from Ephraim mê·’ep̄·ra·yim וְסוּס֙ and the horse wə·sūs מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם from Jerusalem , mî·rū·šā·lim קֶ֣שֶׁת and the bow qe·šeṯ מִלְחָמָ֔ה of war mil·ḥā·māh וְנִכְרְתָה֙ will be broken . wə·niḵ·rə·ṯāh וְדִבֶּ֥ר Then He will proclaim wə·ḏib·ber שָׁל֖וֹם peace šā·lō·wm לַגּוֹיִ֑ם to the nations . lag·gō·w·yim וּמָשְׁלוֹ֙ His dominion will extend ū·mā·šə·lōw מִיָּ֣ם from sea mî·yām עַד־ to ‘aḏ- יָ֔ם sea , yām וּמִנָּהָ֖ר and from the Euphrates ū·min·nā·hār עַד־ to ‘aḏ-
