פָּ֑גֶר of corpses , pā·ḡer לַגְּוִיָּ֔ה dead bodies lag·gə·wî·yāh וְאֵ֥ין without wə·’ên קֵ֙צֶה֙ end — qê·ṣeh יִכְשְׁלוּ they stumble yiḵ·šə·lū בִּגְוִיָּתָֽם׃ over their dead — biḡ·wî·yā·ṯām Nahum 3:4 מֵרֹב֙ because of the many mê·rōḇ זְנוּנֵ֣י harlotries zə·nū·nê זוֹנָ֔ה of the harlot , zō·w·nāh ט֥וֹבַת vvv ṭō·w·ḇaṯ חֵ֖ן the seductive ḥên בַּעֲלַ֣ת mistress ba·‘ă·laṯ כְּשָׁפִ֑ים of sorcery , kə·šā·p̄îm הַמֹּכֶ֤רֶת who betrays ham·mō·ḵe·reṯ גּוֹיִם֙ nations gō·w·yim בִּזְנוּנֶ֔יהָ by her prostitution biz·nū·ne·hā וּמִשְׁפָּח֖וֹת and clans ū·miš·pā·ḥō·wṯ בִּכְשָׁפֶֽיהָ׃ by her witchcraft . biḵ·šā·p̄e·hā Nahum 3:5 הִנְנִ֣י “ Behold , hin·nî אֵלַ֗יִךְ I [am] against you , ” ’ê·la·yiḵ נְאֻם֙ declares nə·’um יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ וְגִלֵּיתִ֥י “ I will lift wə·ḡil·lê·ṯî שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ your skirts šū·la·yiḵ עַל־ over ‘al- פָּנָ֑יִךְ your face . pā·nā·yiḵ וְהַרְאֵיתִ֤י I will show wə·har·’ê·ṯî מַעְרֵ֔ךְ your nakedness ma‘·rêḵ גוֹיִם֙ to the nations ḡō·w·yim קְלוֹנֵֽךְ׃ and your shame qə·lō·w·nêḵ וּמַמְלָכ֖וֹת to the kingdoms . ū·mam·lā·ḵō·wṯ Nahum 3:6 וְהִשְׁלַכְתִּ֥י I will pelt wə·hiš·laḵ·tî עָלַ֛יִךְ you ‘ā·la·yiḵ שִׁקֻּצִ֖ים with filth šiq·qu·ṣîm וְנִבַּלְתִּ֑יךְ and treat you with contempt ; wə·nib·bal·tîḵ וְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךְ I will make wə·śam·tîḵ כְּרֹֽאִי׃ a spectacle of you . kə·rō·’î Nahum 3:7 וְהָיָ֤ה Then wə·hā·yāh כָל־ all ḵāl רֹאַ֙יִךְ֙ who see you rō·’a·yiḵ יִדּ֣וֹד will recoil yid·dō·wḏ מִמֵּ֔ךְ from you mim·mêḵ וְאָמַר֙ and say , wə·’ā·mar נִֽינְוֵ֔ה ‘ Nineveh nî·nə·wêh שָׁדְּדָ֣ה is devastated ; šād·də·ḏāh מִ֖י who mî יָנ֣וּד will grieve yā·nūḏ לָ֑הּ for her ? ’ lāh מֵאַ֛יִן Where mê·’a·yin אֲבַקֵּ֥שׁ can I find ’ă·ḇaq·qêš מְנַחֲמִ֖ים comforters mə·na·ḥă·mîm לָֽךְ׃ for you ? ” lāḵ Nahum 3:8 הֲתֵֽיטְבִי֙ Are you better hă·ṯê·ṭə·ḇî מִנֹּ֣א than Thebes min·nō אָמ֔וֹן . . . , ’ā·mō·wn הַיֹּֽשְׁבָה֙ stationed hay·yō·šə·ḇāh בַּיְאֹרִ֔ים by the Nile bay·’ō·rîm מַ֖יִם with water ma·yim סָבִ֣יב around sā·ḇîḇ לָ֑הּ her , lāh אֲשֶׁר־ whose ’ă·šer- חֵ֣יל rampart ḥêl יָ֔ם was the sea , yām חוֹמָתָֽהּ׃ whose wall ḥō·w·mā·ṯāh מִיָּ֖ם was the water ? mî·yām Nahum 3:9 כּ֥וּשׁ Cush kūš וּמִצְרַ֖יִם and Egypt ū·miṣ·ra·yim וְאֵ֣ין were her boundless wə·’ên קֵ֑צֶה . . . qê·ṣeh עָצְמָ֛ה strength ; ‘ā·ṣə·māh פּ֣וּט Put pūṭ וְלוּבִ֔ים and Libya wə·lū·ḇîm הָי֖וּ were hā·yū בְּעֶזְרָתֵֽךְ׃ her allies . bə·‘ez·rā·ṯêḵ Nahum 3:10 גַּם־ Yet gam- הִ֗יא she hî לַגֹּלָה֙ became an exile ; lag·gō·lāh הָלְכָ֣ה she went hā·lə·ḵāh
