אוֹרִידֵֽם׃ I will pull them down . ’ō·w·rî·ḏêm Amos 9:3 וְאִם־ Though wə·’im- יֵחָֽבְאוּ֙ they hide themselves yê·ḥā·ḇə·’ū בְּרֹ֣אשׁ atop bə·rōš הַכַּרְמֶ֔ל Carmel , hak·kar·mel מִשָּׁ֥ם there miš·šām אֲחַפֵּ֖שׂ I will track them ’ă·ḥap·pêś וּלְקַחְתִּ֑ים and seize them ; ū·lə·qaḥ·tîm וְאִם־ and though wə·’im- יִסָּ֨תְר֜וּ they hide yis·sā·ṯə·rū מִנֶּ֤גֶד from min·ne·ḡeḏ עֵינַי֙ Me ‘ê·nay בְּקַרְקַ֣ע at the bottom of bə·qar·qa‘ הַיָּ֔ם the sea , hay·yām מִשָּׁ֛ם there miš·šām אֲצַוֶּ֥ה I will command ’ă·ṣaw·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַנָּחָ֖שׁ the serpent han·nā·ḥāš וּנְשָׁכָֽם׃ to bite them . ū·nə·šā·ḵām Amos 9:4 וְאִם־ Though wə·’im- יֵלְכ֤וּ they are driven yê·lə·ḵū לִפְנֵ֣י by lip̄·nê אֹֽיבֵיהֶ֔ם their enemies ʾ·ḇē·hɛm בַשְּׁבִי֙ into captivity , ḇaš·šə·ḇî מִשָּׁ֛ם there miš·šām אֲצַוֶּ֥ה I will command ’ă·ṣaw·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַחֶ֖רֶב the sword ha·ḥe·reḇ וַהֲרָגָ֑תַם to slay them . wa·hă·rā·ḡā·ṯam וְשַׂמְתִּ֨י I will fix wə·śam·tî עֵינִ֧י My eyes ‘ê·nî עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם upon them ‘ă·lê·hem לְרָעָ֖ה for harm lə·rā·‘āh וְלֹ֥א and not wə·lō לְטוֹבָֽה׃ for good . ” lə·ṭō·w·ḇāh Amos 9:5 וַאדֹנָ֨י The Lord wa·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh הַצְּבָא֗וֹת of Hosts , haṣ·ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ הַנּוֹגֵ֤עַ He who touches han·nō·w·ḡê·a‘ בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ the earth bā·’ā·reṣ וַתָּמ֔וֹג and it melts , wat·tā·mō·wḡ כָּל־ and all kāl- י֣וֹשְׁבֵי its dwellers yō·wō·šə·ḇê בָ֑הּ ḇāh וְאָבְל֖וּ mourn — wə·’ā·ḇə·lū כֻּלָּ֔הּ all [the land] kul·lāh וְעָלְתָ֤ה rises wə·‘ā·lə·ṯāh כַיְאֹר֙ like the Nile , ḵay·’ōr וְשָׁקְעָ֖ה then sinks wə·šā·qə·‘āh כִּיאֹ֥ר like the river kî·’ōr מִצְרָֽיִם of Egypt — miṣ·rå̄·yim Amos 9:6 הַבּוֹנֶ֤ה He builds hab·bō·w·neh מַעֲלוֹתוֹ His upper rooms ma·ʿă·lō·ṯō בַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ in the heavens ḇaš·šā·ma·yim יְסָדָ֑הּ and founds yə·sā·ḏāh וַאֲגֻדָּת֖וֹ His vault wa·’ă·ḡud·dā·ṯōw עַל־ upon ‘al- אֶ֣רֶץ the earth . ’e·reṣ הַקֹּרֵ֣א He summons haq·qō·rê לְמֵֽי־ the waters lə·mê- הַיָּ֗ם of the sea hay·yām וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכֵ֛ם and pours them way·yiš·pə·ḵêm עַל־ over ‘al- פְּנֵ֥י the face pə·nê הָאָ֖רֶץ of the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh שְׁמֽוֹ׃ is His name . šə·mōw Amos 9:7 הֲל֣וֹא “ Are you not hă·lō·w אַתֶּ֥ם . . . ’at·tem כִבְנֵי֩ vvv ḵiḇ·nê כֻשִׁיִּ֨ים like the Cushites ḵu·šî·yîm לִ֛י to Me , lî בְּנֵ֥י O children bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel ? ” yiś·rā·’êl נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH . Yah·weh הֲל֣וֹא “ Did I not hă·lō·w אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הֶעֱלֵ֙יתִי֙ bring he·‘ĕ·lê·ṯî יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl מֵאֶ֣רֶץ up from the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim וּפְלִשְׁתִּיִּ֥ים the Philistines ū·p̄ə·liš·tî·yîm מִכַּפְתּ֖וֹר from Caphtor , mik·kap̄·tō·wr וַאֲרָ֥ם and the Arameans wa·’ă·rām
