Amos 4:9 הִכֵּ֣יתִי “ I struck hik·kê·ṯî אֶתְכֶם֮ - ’eṯ·ḵem בַּשִּׁדָּפ֣וֹן you with blight baš·šid·dā·p̄ō·wn וּבַיֵּרָקוֹן֒ and mildew ū·ḇay·yê·rā·qō·wn הַרְבּ֨וֹת in your growing har·bō·wṯ גַּנּוֹתֵיכֶ֧ם gardens gan·nō·w·ṯê·ḵem וְכַרְמֵיכֶ֛ם and vineyards ; wə·ḵar·mê·ḵem הַגָּזָ֑ם the locust hag·gā·zām יֹאכַ֣ל devoured yō·ḵal וּתְאֵנֵיכֶ֥ם your fig ū·ṯə·’ê·nê·ḵem וְזֵיתֵיכֶ֖ם and olive trees , wə·zê·ṯê·ḵem וְלֹֽא־ yet you did not wə·lō- שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם return šaḇ·tem עָדַ֖י to Me , ” ‘ā·ḏay נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH . Yah·weh Amos 4:10 שִׁלַּ֨חְתִּי “ I sent šil·laḥ·tî דֶּ֙בֶר֙ plagues de·ḇer בָכֶ֥ם among you ḇā·ḵem בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ like those bə·ḏe·reḵ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt ; miṣ·ra·yim הָרַ֤גְתִּי I killed hā·raḡ·tî בַּח֣וּרֵיכֶ֔ם your young men ba·ḥū·rê·ḵem בַחֶ֙רֶב֙ with the sword , ḇa·ḥe·reḇ עִ֖ם along with ‘im שְׁבִ֣י your captured šə·ḇî סֽוּסֵיכֶ֑ם horses . sū·sê·ḵem וָאַעֲלֶ֞ה I filled wā·’a·‘ă·leh וּֽבְאַפְּכֶ֔ם your nostrils ū·ḇə·’ap·pə·ḵem בְּאֹ֤שׁ with the stench bə·’ōš מַחֲנֵיכֶם֙ of your camp , ma·ḥă·nê·ḵem וְלֹֽא־ yet you did not wə·lō- שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם return šaḇ·tem עָדַ֖י to Me , ” ‘ā·ḏay נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Amos 4:11 הָפַ֣כְתִּי “ Some of you I overthrew hā·p̄aḵ·tî בָכֶ֗ם ḇā·ḵem כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֤ת as I overthrew kə·mah·pê·ḵaṯ אֱלֹהִים֙ . . . ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- סְדֹ֣ם Sodom sə·ḏōm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עֲמֹרָ֔ה and Gomorrah , ‘ă·mō·rāh וַתִּהְי֕וּ and you were wat·tih·yū כְּא֖וּד like a firebrand kə·’ūḏ מֻצָּ֣ל snatched muṣ·ṣāl מִשְׂרֵפָ֑ה from a blaze , miś·rē·p̄å̄h וְלֹֽא־ yet you did not wə·lō- שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם return šaḇ·tem עָדַ֖י to Me , ” ‘ā·ḏay נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH . Yah·weh Amos 4:12 לָכֵ֕ן “ Therefore , lā·ḵên כֹּ֥ה that is what kōh אֶעֱשֶׂה־ I will do ’e·‘ĕ·śeh- לְּךָ֖ to you , lə·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל O Israel , yiś·rā·’êl עֵ֚קֶב and since ‘ê·qeḇ כִּֽי־ . . . kî- אֶֽעֱשֶׂה־ I will do ’e·‘ĕ·śeh- זֹ֣את this zōṯ לָּ֔ךְ to you , lāḵ הִכּ֥וֹן prepare hik·kō·wn לִקְרַאת־ to meet liq·raṯ- אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ O Israel ! yiś·rā·’êl Amos 4:13 כִּ֡י For kî הִנֵּה֩ behold , hin·nêh יוֹצֵ֨ר He who forms yō·w·ṣêr הָרִ֜ים the mountains , hā·rîm וּבֹרֵ֣א who creates ū·ḇō·rê ר֗וּחַ the wind rū·aḥ וּמַגִּ֤יד and reveals ū·mag·gîḏ שֵּׂח֔וֹ His thoughts śê·ḥōw לְאָדָם֙ to man lə·’ā·ḏām מַה־ - , mah- עֹשֵׂ֥ה who turns ‘ō·śêh שַׁ֙חַר֙ the dawn ša·ḥar עֵיפָ֔ה to darkness ‘ê·p̄āh וְדֹרֵ֖ךְ and strides wə·ḏō·rêḵ עַל־ on ‘al- בָּ֣מֳתֵי the heights bā·mo·ṯê אָ֑רֶץ of the earth — ’ā·reṣ יְהוָ֥ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽי־ the God ’ĕ·lō·hê- צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ שְׁמֽוֹ׃ס is His name . ” šə·mōw
