וְחֻקָּיו֙ His statutes ; wə·ḥuq·qāw וַיַּתְעוּם֙ they are led astray way·yaṯ·‘ūm כִּזְבֵיהֶ֔ם by the lies kiz·ḇê·hem אֲשֶׁר־ in which ’ă·šer- אֲבוֹתָ֖ם their fathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām הָלְכ֥וּ walked hā·lə·ḵū אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ . . . . ’a·ḥă·rê·hem Amos 2:5 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי So I will send wə·šil·laḥ·tî אֵ֖שׁ fire ’êš בִּֽיהוּדָ֑ה upon Judah bî·hū·ḏāh וְאָכְלָ֖ה to consume wə·’ā·ḵə·lāh אַרְמְנ֥וֹת the citadels ’ar·mə·nō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃פ of Jerusalem . ” yə·rū·šā·lim Amos 2:6 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar עַל־ “ For ‘al- שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ three šə·lō·šāh פִּשְׁעֵ֣י transgressions piš·‘ê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וְעַל־ even wə·‘al- אַרְבָּעָ֖ה four , ’ar·bā·‘āh לֹ֣א I will not lō אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ revoke [My judgment] , ’ă·šî·ḇen·nū עַל־ because ‘al- מִכְרָ֤ם they sell miḵ·rām צַדִּ֔יק the righteous ṣad·dîq בַּכֶּ֙סֶף֙ for silver bak·ke·sep̄ וְאֶבְי֖וֹן and the needy wə·’eḇ·yō·wn בַּעֲב֥וּר for ba·‘ă·ḇūr נַעֲלָֽיִם׃ a pair of sandals . na·‘ă·lā·yim Amos 2:7 הַשֹּׁאֲפִ֤ים They trample haš·šō·’ă·p̄îm בְּרֹ֣אשׁ on the heads bə·rōš דַּלִּ֔ים of the poor dal·lîm עַל־ as on ‘al- עֲפַר־ the dust ‘ă·p̄ar- אֶ֙רֶץ֙ of the earth ; ’e·reṣ יַטּ֑וּ they push yaṭ·ṭū עֲנָוִ֖ים the needy ‘ă·nā·wîm וְדֶ֥רֶךְ out of their way . wə·ḏe·reḵ וְאִ֣ישׁ A man wə·’îš וְאָבִ֗יו and his father wə·’ā·ḇîw יֵֽלְכוּ֙ have relations with yê·lə·ḵū אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה the same girl han·na·‘ă·rāh לְמַ֥עַן and so lə·ma·‘an חַלֵּ֖ל profane ḥal·lêl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- קָדְשִֽׁי׃ My holy qāḏ·šî שֵׁ֥ם name . šêm Amos 2:8 יַטּ֔וּ They lie down yaṭ·ṭū אֵ֖צֶל beside ’ê·ṣel כָּל־ every kāl- מִזְבֵּ֑חַ altar miz·bê·aḥ וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- בְּגָדִ֤ים garments bə·ḡā·ḏîm חֲבֻלִים֙ taken in pledge . ḥă·ḇu·lîm בֵּ֖ית And in the house bêṯ אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ of their God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem יִשְׁתּ֔וּ they drink yiš·tū וְיֵ֤ין wine wə·yên עֲנוּשִׁים֙ obtained through fines . ‘ă·nū·šîm Amos 2:9 וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י Yet [it was] I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî הִשְׁמַ֤דְתִּי who destroyed hiš·maḏ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ the Amorite hā·’ĕ·mō·rî מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם before them , mip·pə·nê·hem אֲשֶׁ֨ר though ’ă·šer כְּגֹ֤בַהּ his height kə·ḡō·ḇah גָּבְה֔וֹ was like that of gā·ḇə·hōw אֲרָזִים֙ the cedars , ’ă·rā·zîm ה֖וּא and he was hū וְחָסֹ֥ן as strong wə·ḥā·sōn כָּֽאַלּוֹנִ֑ים as the oaks . kā·’al·lō·w·nîm וָאַשְׁמִ֤יד Yet I destroyed wā·’aš·mîḏ פִּרְיוֹ֙ his fruit pir·yōw מִמַּ֔עַל above mim·ma·‘al וְשָׁרָשָׁ֖יו and his roots wə·šā·rā·šāw מִתָּֽחַת׃ below . mit·tā·ḥaṯ Amos 2:10 וְאָנֹכִ֛י And I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî הֶעֱלֵ֥יתִי brought he·‘ĕ·lê·ṯî אֶתְכֶ֖ם you up ’eṯ·ḵem
