Amos 1:8 וְהִכְרַתִּ֤י I will cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî יוֹשֵׁב֙ the ruler yō·wō·šêḇ מֵֽאַשְׁדּ֔וֹד of Ashdod mê·’aš·dō·wḏ וְתוֹמֵ֥ךְ and the one who wields wə·ṯō·w·mêḵ שֵׁ֖בֶט the scepter šê·ḇeṭ מֵֽאַשְׁקְל֑וֹן in Ashkelon . mê·’aš·qə·lō·wn וַהֲשִׁיב֨וֹתִי I will turn wa·hă·šî·ḇō·w·ṯî יָדִ֜י My hand yā·ḏî עַל־ against ‘al- עֶקְר֗וֹן Ekron , ‘eq·rō·wn שְׁאֵרִ֣ית and the remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים of the Philistines pə·liš·tîm וְאָֽבְדוּ֙ will perish , ” wə·’ā·ḇə·ḏū אָמַ֖ר says ’ā·mar אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִֽה׃פ YHWH . Yah·weh Amos 1:9 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar עַל־ “ For ‘al- שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ three šə·lō·šāh פִּשְׁעֵי־ transgressions piš·‘ê- צֹ֔ר of Tyre , ṣōr וְעַל־ even wə·‘al- אַרְבָּעָ֖ה four , ’ar·bā·‘āh לֹ֣א I will not lō אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ revoke [My judgment] , ’ă·šî·ḇen·nū עַֽל־ because ‘al- הַסְגִּירָ֞ם they delivered up has·gî·rām שְׁלֵמָה֙ a whole šə·lê·māh גָּל֤וּת congregation of exiles gā·lūṯ לֶאֱד֔וֹם to Edom le·’ĕ·ḏō·wm וְלֹ֥א and broke wə·lō זָכְר֖וּ . . . zā·ḵə·rū בְּרִ֥ית a covenant bə·rîṯ אַחִֽים׃ of brotherhood . ’a·ḥîm Amos 1:10 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי So I will send wə·šil·laḥ·tî אֵ֖שׁ fire ’êš בְּח֣וֹמַת upon the walls bə·ḥō·w·maṯ צֹ֑ר of Tyre ṣōr וְאָכְלָ֖ה to consume wə·’ā·ḵə·lāh אַרְמְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃פ its citadels . ” ’ar·mə·nō·ṯe·hā Amos 1:11 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar עַל־ “ For ‘al- שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ three šə·lō·šāh פִּשְׁעֵ֣י transgressions piš·‘ê אֱד֔וֹם of Edom , ’ĕ·ḏō·wm וְעַל־ even wə·‘al- אַרְבָּעָ֖ה four , ’ar·bā·‘āh לֹ֣א I will not lō אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ revoke [My judgment] , ’ă·šî·ḇen·nū עַל־ because ‘al- רָדְפ֨וֹ he pursued rā·ḏə·p̄ōw אָחִיו֙ his brother ’ā·ḥîw בַחֶ֤רֶב with the sword ḇa·ḥe·reḇ וְשִׁחֵ֣ת and stifled wə·ši·ḥêṯ רַחֲמָ֔יו all compassion ; ra·ḥă·māw אַפּ֔וֹ his anger ’ap·pōw וַיִּטְרֹ֤ף raged way·yiṭ·rōp̄ לָעַד֙ continually , lā·‘aḏ וְעֶבְרָת֖וֹ and his fury wə·‘eḇ·rā·ṯōw שְׁמָ֥רָה flamed šə·mā·rāh נֶֽצַח׃ incessantly . ne·ṣaḥ Amos 1:12 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי So I will send wə·šil·laḥ·tî אֵ֖שׁ fire ’êš בְּתֵימָ֑ן upon Teman bə·ṯê·mān וְאָכְלָ֖ה to consume wə·’ā·ḵə·lāh אַרְמְנ֥וֹת the citadels ’ar·mə·nō·wṯ בָּצְרָֽה׃פ of Bozrah . ” bāṣ·rāh Amos 1:13 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar עַל־ “ For ‘al- שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ three šə·lō·šāh פִּשְׁעֵ֣י transgressions piš·‘ê בְנֵֽי־ of the Ammonites ḇə·nê- עַמּ֔וֹן . . . , ‘am·mō·wn וְעַל־ even wə·‘al- אַרְבָּעָ֖ה four , ’ar·bā·‘āh לֹ֣א I will not lō אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ revoke [My judgment] , ’ă·šî·ḇen·nū עַל־ because ‘al- בִּקְעָם֙ they ripped open biq·‘ām
