דְּרָכָ֔יו his paths . də·rā·ḵāw מַשְׂטֵמָ֖ה Hostility maś·ṭê·māh בְּבֵ֥ית is in the house bə·ḇêṯ אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ of his God ! ’ĕ·lō·hāw Hosea 9:9 הֶעְמִֽיקוּ־ They have deeply he‘·mî·qū- שִׁחֵ֖תוּ corrupted themselves ši·ḥê·ṯū כִּימֵ֣י as in the days kî·mê הַגִּבְעָ֑ה of Gibeah ; hag·giḇ·‘āh יִזְכּ֣וֹר He will remember yiz·kō·wr עֲוֺנָ֔ם their guilt ; ‘ă·wō·nām יִפְק֖וֹד He will punish yip̄·qō·wḏ חַטֹּאותָֽם׃ס their sins . ḥaṭ·ṭō·w·ṯām Hosea 9:10 מָצָ֙אתִי֙ I found mā·ṣā·ṯî יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl כַּעֲנָבִ֣ים like grapes ka·‘ă·nā·ḇîm בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר in the wilderness . bam·miḏ·bār רָאִ֖יתִי I saw rā·’î·ṯî אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם your fathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem כְּבִכּוּרָ֤ה as the firstfruits kə·ḇik·kū·rāh בִתְאֵנָה֙ of the fig tree ḇiṯ·’ê·nāh בְּרֵ֣אשִׁיתָ֔הּ in its first season . bə·rê·šî·ṯāh הֵ֜מָּה But they hêm·māh בָּ֣אוּ went bā·’ū בַֽעַל־ vvv ḇa·‘al- פְּע֗וֹר to Baal-peor , pə·‘ō·wr וַיִּנָּֽזְרוּ֙ and consecrated way·yin·nā·zə·rū לַבֹּ֔שֶׁת themselves to Shame ; lab·bō·šeṯ וַיִּהְי֥וּ so they became way·yih·yū שִׁקּוּצִ֖ים as detestable šiq·qū·ṣîm כְּאָהֳבָֽם׃ as the thing they loved . kə·’ā·ho·ḇām Hosea 9:11 אֶפְרַ֕יִם Ephraim’s ’ep̄·ra·yim כְּבוֹדָ֑ם glory kə·ḇō·w·ḏām יִתְעוֹפֵ֣ף will fly away yiṯ·‘ō·w·p̄êp̄ כָּע֖וֹף like a bird , kā·‘ō·wp̄ מִלֵּדָ֥ה with no birth , mil·lê·ḏāh וּמִבֶּ֖טֶן no pregnancy , ū·mib·be·ṭen וּמֵהֵרָיֽוֹן׃ and no conception . ū·mê·hê·rā·yō·wn Hosea 9:12 כִּ֤י Even kî אִם־ if ’im- יְגַדְּלוּ֙ they raise yə·ḡad·də·lū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנֵיהֶ֔ם their children , bə·nê·hem וְשִׁכַּלְתִּ֖ים I will bereave them wə·šik·kal·tîm מֵֽאָדָ֑ם of each one . mê·’ā·ḏām כִּֽי־ Yes , kî- גַם־ . . . ḡam- א֥וֹי woe [be] ’ō·w לָהֶ֖ם to them lā·hem בְּשׂוּרִ֥י when I turn away bə·śū·rî מֵהֶֽם׃ from them ! mê·hem Hosea 9:13 רָאִ֥יתִי I have seen rā·’î·ṯî אֶפְרַ֛יִם Ephraim , ’ep̄·ra·yim כַּאֲשֶׁר־ like ka·’ă·šer- לְצ֖וֹר Tyre , lə·ṣō·wr שְׁתוּלָ֣ה planted šə·ṯū·lāh בְנָוֶ֑ה in a meadow . ḇə·nā·weh וְאֶפְרַ֕יִם But Ephraim wə·’ep̄·ra·yim לְהוֹצִ֥יא will bring out lə·hō·w·ṣî בָּנָֽיו׃ his children bā·nāw אֶל־ ’el- הֹרֵ֖ג for slaughter . hō·rêḡ Hosea 9:14 תֵּן־ Give tên- לָהֶ֥ם them , lā·hem יְהוָ֖ה O YHWH — Yah·weh מַה־ what mah- תִּתֵּ֑ן will You give ? tit·tên תֵּן־ Give tên- לָהֶם֙ them lā·hem רֶ֣חֶם wombs re·ḥem מַשְׁכִּ֔יל that miscarry maš·kîl וְשָׁדַ֖יִם and breasts wə·šā·ḏa·yim צֹמְקִֽים׃ that dry up ! ṣō·mə·qîm Hosea 9:15 כָּל־ All kāl- רָעָתָ֤ם their evil rā·‘ā·ṯām בַּגִּלְגָּל֙ appears at Gilgal , bag·gil·gāl כִּֽי־ for kî- שָׁ֣ם there šām שְׂנֵאתִ֔ים I hated them . śə·nê·ṯîm אֲגָרְשֵׁ֑ם I will drive them ’ă·ḡā·rə·šêm
