אֲהָבִֽים lovers . ʾă·hå̄·ḇīm Hosea 8:10 גַּ֛ם Though gam כִּֽי־ . . . kî- יִתְנ֥וּ they hire allies yiṯ·nū בַגּוֹיִ֖ם among the nations , ḇag·gō·w·yim עַתָּ֣ה I will now ‘at·tāh אֲקַבְּצֵ֑ם round them up , ’ă·qab·bə·ṣêm וַיָּחֵ֣לּוּ and they will begin way·yā·ḥêl·lū מְּעָ֔ט to diminish mə·‘āṭ מִמַּשָּׂ֖א under the oppression mim·maś·śā מֶ֥לֶךְ of the king me·leḵ שָׂרִֽים׃ of princes . śā·rîm Hosea 8:11 כִּֽי־ Though kî- אֶפְרַ֛יִם Ephraim ’ep̄·ra·yim הִרְבָּ֥ה multiplied hir·bāh מִזְבְּחֹ֖ת the altars miz·bə·ḥōṯ לַחֲטֹ֑א for sin , la·ḥă·ṭō הָיוּ־ they became hā·yū- ל֥וֹ his lōw מִזְבְּח֖וֹת altars miz·bə·ḥō·wṯ לַחֲטֹֽא׃ for sinning . la·ḥă·ṭō Hosea 8:12 אֶכְתּוֹב Though I wrote ʾɛḵ·tōḇ ל֔וֹ for them lōw רִבּוֹ the great things rib·bō תּֽוֹרָתִ֑י of My law , tō·w·rā·ṯî נֶחְשָֽׁבוּ׃ they regarded them neḥ·šā·ḇū כְּמוֹ־ as kə·mōw- זָ֖ר something strange . zār Hosea 8:13 יִזְבְּח֤וּ Though they offer yiz·bə·ḥū זִבְחֵ֣י sacrifices ziḇ·ḥê הַבְהָבַ֗י as gifts to Me , haḇ·hā·ḇay וַיֹּאכֵ֔לוּ and [though they] eat way·yō·ḵê·lū בָשָׂר֙ the meat , ḇā·śār יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֣א does not lō רָצָ֑ם accept them . rā·ṣām עַתָּ֞ה Now ‘at·tāh יִזְכֹּ֤ר He will remember yiz·kōr עֲוֺנָם֙ their iniquity ‘ă·wō·nām וְיִפְקֹ֣ד and punish wə·yip̄·qōḏ חַטֹּאותָ֔ם their sins : ḥaṭ·ṭō·w·ṯām הֵ֖מָּה They hêm·māh יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃ will return yā·šū·ḇū מִצְרַ֥יִם to Egypt . miṣ·ra·yim Hosea 8:14 יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁכַּ֨ח has forgotten way·yiš·kaḥ עֹשֵׂ֗הוּ his Maker ‘ō·śê·hū וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ and built way·yi·ḇen הֵֽיכָל֔וֹת palaces ; hê·ḵā·lō·wṯ וִֽיהוּדָ֕ה Judah wî·hū·ḏāh הִרְבָּ֖ה has multiplied hir·bāh בְּצֻר֑וֹת its fortified bə·ṣu·rō·wṯ עָרִ֣ים cities . ‘ā·rîm וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־ But I will send wə·šil·laḥ·tî- אֵ֣שׁ fire ’êš בְּעָרָ֔יו upon their cities , bə·‘ā·rāw וְאָכְלָ֖ה and it will consume wə·’ā·ḵə·lāh אַרְמְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃ס their citadels . ’ar·mə·nō·ṯe·hā Hosea 9:1 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּשְׂמַ֨ח rejoice , tiś·maḥ יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל׀ O Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אֶל־ with ’el- גִּיל֙ exultation gîl כָּֽעַמִּ֔ים like the nations , kā·‘am·mîm כִּ֥י for kî זָנִ֖יתָ you have played the harlot zā·nî·ṯā מֵעַ֣ל against mê·‘al אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ; ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā אָהַ֣בְתָּ you have made love ’ā·haḇ·tā אֶתְנָ֔ן [for] hire ’eṯ·nān עַ֖ל on ‘al כָּל־ every kāl- גָּרְנ֥וֹת threshing floor gā·rə·nō·wṯ דָּגָֽן׃ . . . . dā·ḡān Hosea 9:2 גֹּ֥רֶן The threshing floor gō·ren וָיֶ֖קֶב and winepress wā·ye·qeḇ לֹ֣א will not lō יִרְעֵ֑ם feed them , yir·‘êm
