Hosea 7:12 כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר As ka·’ă·šer יֵלֵ֗כוּ they go , yê·lê·ḵū אֶפְר֤וֹשׂ I will spread ’ep̄·rō·wś רִשְׁתִּ֔י My net riš·tî עֲלֵיהֶם֙ over them ; ‘ă·lê·hem אֽוֹרִידֵ֑ם I will bring them down ’ō·w·rî·ḏêm כְּע֥וֹף like birds kə·‘ō·wp̄ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם of the air . haš·šā·ma·yim אַיְסִרֵ֕ם I will chastise them ’ay·si·rêm כְּשֵׁ֖מַע when I hear them kə·šê·ma‘ לַעֲדָתָֽם׃ס flocking together . la·‘ă·ḏā·ṯām Hosea 7:13 א֤וֹי Woe ’ō·w לָהֶם֙ to them , lā·hem כִּֽי־ for kî- נָדְד֣וּ they have strayed nā·ḏə·ḏū מִמֶּ֔נִּי from Me ! mim·men·nî שֹׁ֥ד Destruction šōḏ לָהֶ֖ם to them , lā·hem כִּֽי־ for kî- פָ֣שְׁעוּ they have rebelled p̄ā·šə·‘ū בִ֑י against Me ! ḇî וְאָנֹכִ֣י Though I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî אֶפְדֵּ֔ם would redeem them , ’ep̄·dêm וְהֵ֕מָּה . . . wə·hêm·māh דִּבְּר֥וּ they speak dib·bə·rū כְּזָבִֽים׃ lies kə·zā·ḇîm עָלַ֖י against Me . ‘ā·lay Hosea 7:14 וְלֹֽא־ They do not wə·lō- זָעֲק֤וּ cry out zā·‘ă·qū אֵלַי֙ to Me ’ê·lay בְּלִבָּ֔ם from their hearts bə·lib·bām כִּ֥י when kî יְיֵלִ֖ילוּ they wail yə·yê·lî·lū עַל־ upon ‘al- מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָ֑ם their beds . miš·kə·ḇō·w·ṯām יִתְגּוֹרָ֖רוּ They slash themselves yiṯ·gō·w·rā·rū עַל־ for ‘al- דָּגָ֧ן grain dā·ḡān וְתִיר֛וֹשׁ and new wine , wə·ṯî·rō·wōš יָס֥וּרוּ but turn away yā·sū·rū בִֽי׃ from Me . ḇî Hosea 7:15 וַאֲנִ֣י Although I wa·’ă·nî יִסַּ֔רְתִּי trained yis·sar·tî חִזַּ֖קְתִּי and strengthened ḥiz·zaq·tî זְרֽוֹעֹתָ֑ם their arms , zə·rō·w·‘ō·ṯām יְחַשְּׁבוּ־ they plot yə·ḥaš·šə·ḇū- רָֽע׃ evil rā‘ וְאֵלַ֖י against Me . wə·’ê·lay Hosea 7:16 יָשׁ֣וּבוּ׀ They turn , yā·šū·ḇū לֹ֣א but not lō עָ֗ל to the Most High ; ‘āl הָיוּ֙ they are hā·yū רְמִיָּ֔ה like a faulty rə·mî·yāh כְּקֶ֣שֶׁת bow . kə·qe·šeṯ שָׂרֵיהֶ֖ם Their leaders śā·rê·hem יִפְּל֥וּ will fall yip·pə·lū בַחֶ֛רֶב by the sword ḇa·ḥe·reḇ מִזַּ֣עַם for the cursing miz·za·‘am לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם of their tongue ; lə·šō·w·nām ז֥וֹ for this zōw לַעְגָּ֖ם they will be ridiculed la‘·gām בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Hosea 8:1 שֹׁפָ֔ר [Put] the ram’s horn šō·p̄ār אֶל־ to ’el- חִכְּךָ֣ your lips ! ḥik·kə·ḵā כַּנֶּ֖שֶׁר An eagle kan·ne·šer עַל־ looms over ‘al- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh יַ֚עַן because ya·‘an עָבְר֣וּ [the people] have transgressed ‘ā·ḇə·rū בְרִיתִ֔י My covenant ḇə·rî·ṯî פָּשָֽׁעוּ׃ and rebelled pā·šā·‘ū וְעַל־ against wə·‘al- תּוֹרָתִ֖י My law . tō·w·rā·ṯî Hosea 8:2 יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel yiś·rā·’êl יִזְעָ֑קוּ cries out yiz·‘ā·qū לִ֖י to Me , lî
