חָטָ֖אנוּ we have sinned ; ḥā·ṭā·nū רָשָֽׁעְנוּ׃ we have acted wickedly . rā·šā·‘ə·nū Daniel 9:16 אֲדֹנָ֗י O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy כְּכָל־ in keeping with all kə·ḵāl- צִדְקֹתֶ֙ךָ֙ Your righteous acts , ṣiḏ·qō·ṯe·ḵā נָ֤א I pray nā אַפְּךָ֙ that Your anger ’ap·pə·ḵā וַחֲמָ֣תְךָ֔ and wrath wa·ḥă·mā·ṯə·ḵā יָֽשָׁב־ may turn away yā·šāḇ- מֵעִֽירְךָ֥ from Your city mê·‘î·rə·ḵā יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim קָדְשֶׁ֑ךָ Your holy qāḏ·še·ḵā הַר־ mountain ; har- כִּ֤י for kî בַחֲטָאֵ֙ינוּ֙ because of our sins ḇa·ḥă·ṭā·’ê·nū וּבַעֲוֺנ֣וֹת and the iniquities ū·ḇa·‘ă·wō·nō·wṯ אֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ of our fathers , ’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū יְרוּשָׁלִַ֧ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim וְעַמְּךָ֛ and Your people wə·‘am·mə·ḵā לְחֶרְפָּ֖ה [are] a reproach lə·ḥer·pāh לְכָל־ to all lə·ḵāl סְבִיבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ around us . sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯê·nū Daniel 9:17 וְעַתָּ֣ה׀ So now , wə·‘at·tāh אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū אֶל־ . . . ’el- שְׁמַ֣ע hear šə·ma‘ תְּפִלַּ֤ת the prayers tə·p̄il·laṯ וְאֶל־ and wə·’el- תַּ֣חֲנוּנָ֔יו petitions ta·ḥă·nū·nāw עַבְדְּךָ֙ of Your servant . ‘aḇ·də·ḵā לְמַ֖עַן For Your sake , lə·ma·‘an אֲדֹנָֽי׃ O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy פָּנֶ֔יךָ cause Your face pā·ne·ḵā וְהָאֵ֣ר to shine wə·hā·’êr עַל־ upon ‘al- הַשָּׁמֵ֑ם Your desolate haš·šā·mêm מִקְדָּשְׁךָ֖ sanctuary . miq·dā·šə·ḵā Daniel 9:18 הַטֵּ֨ה Incline haṭ·ṭêh אָזְנְךָ֮ Your ear , ’ā·zə·nə·ḵā אֱלֹהַ֥י׀ O my God , ’ĕ·lō·hay וּֽשֲׁמָע֒ and hear ; ū·šă·mā‘ פִּקְחָה open piq·ḥå̄h עֵינֶ֗יךָ Your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā וּרְאֵה֙ and see ū·rə·’êh שֹֽׁמְמֹתֵ֔ינוּ the desolation šō·mə·mō·ṯê·nū וְהָעִ֕יר of the city wə·hā·‘îr אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- נִקְרָ֥א that bears niq·rā שִׁמְךָ֖ Your name šim·ḵā עָלֶ֑יהָ . ‘ā·le·hā כִּ֣י׀ For kî אֲנַ֨חְנוּ we ’ă·naḥ·nū לֹ֣א are not lō מַפִּילִ֤ים presenting map·pî·lîm תַּחֲנוּנֵ֙ינוּ֙ our petitions ta·ḥă·nū·nê·nū לְפָנֶ֔יךָ before You lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā עַל־ because of ‘al- צִדְקֹתֵ֗ינוּ our righteous acts , ṣiḏ·qō·ṯê·nū כִּ֖י but kî עַל־ because of ‘al- הָרַבִּֽים׃ Your great hā·rab·bîm רַחֲמֶ֥יךָ compassion . ra·ḥă·me·ḵā Daniel 9:19 אֲדֹנָ֤י׀ O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy שְׁמָ֙עָה֙ listen ! šə·mā·‘āh אֲדֹנָ֣י׀ O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy סְלָ֔חָה forgive ! sə·lā·ḥāh אֲדֹנָ֛י O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy הַֽקֲשִׁ֥יבָה hear ha·qă·šî·ḇāh וַעֲשֵׂ֖ה and act ! wa·‘ă·śêh לְמַֽעֲנְךָ֣ For Your sake , lə·ma·‘ăn·ḵā אֱלֹהַ֔י O my God , ’ĕ·lō·hay אַל־ do not ’al- תְּאַחַ֑ר delay , tə·’a·ḥar כִּֽי־ because kî- עִירְךָ֖ Your city ‘î·rə·ḵā וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- עַמֶּֽךָ׃ and Your people ‘am·me·ḵā נִקְרָ֔א bear niq·rā עַל־ . . . ‘al- שִׁמְךָ֣ Your name . ” šim·ḵā Daniel 9:20 וְע֨וֹד While wə·‘ō·wḏ אֲנִ֤י I ’ă·nî מְדַבֵּר֙ was speaking , mə·ḏab·bêr וּמִתְפַּלֵּ֔ל praying , ū·miṯ·pal·lêl וּמִתְוַדֶּה֙ confessing ū·miṯ·wad·deh
