Daniel 7:2 דָנִיֵּאל֙ Daniel ḏā·nî·yêl וְאָמַ֔ר . . . wə·’ā·mar עָנֵ֤ה declared : ‘ā·nêh בְּחֶזְוִ֖י “ In my vision bə·ḥez·wî עִם־ in ‘im- לֵֽילְיָ֑א the night lê·lə·yā הֲוֵ֛ית I hă·wêṯ חָזֵ֥ה looked , ḥā·zêh וַאֲר֗וּ and suddenly wa·’ă·rū אַרְבַּע֙ the four ’ar·ba‘ רוּחֵ֣י winds rū·ḥê שְׁמַיָּ֔א of heaven šə·may·yā מְגִיחָ֖ן were churning up mə·ḡî·ḥān רַבָּֽא׃ the great rab·bā לְיַמָּ֥א sea . lə·yam·mā Daniel 7:3 וְאַרְבַּ֤ע Then four wə·’ar·ba‘ רַבְרְבָ֔ן great raḇ·rə·ḇān חֵיוָן֙ beasts ḥê·wān סָלְקָ֖ן came up sā·lə·qān מִן־ out of min- יַמָּ֑א the sea , yam·mā דָּ֥א each one dā שָׁנְיָ֖ן different šā·nə·yān מִן־ from min- דָּֽא׃ the others : dā Daniel 7:4 קַדְמָיְתָ֣א The first [beast] qaḏ·mā·yə·ṯā כְאַרְיֵ֔ה was like a lion , ḵə·’ar·yêh לַ֑הּ and it had lah וְגַפִּ֥ין [the] wings wə·ḡap·pîn דִּֽי־ - dî- נְשַׁ֖ר of an eagle . nə·šar הֲוֵ֡ית I hă·wêṯ חָזֵ֣ה watched ḥā·zêh עַד֩ until ‘aḏ דִּי־ . . . dî- גַפַּ֜יהּ its wings ḡap·payh מְּרִ֨יטוּ were torn off mə·rî·ṭū וּנְטִ֣ילַת and it was lifted up ū·nə·ṭî·laṯ מִן־ from min- אַרְעָ֗א the ground ’ar·‘ā הֳקִימַ֔ת and made to stand ho·qî·maṯ וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- רַגְלַ֙יִן֙ two feet raḡ·la·yin כֶּאֱנָ֣שׁ like a man , ke·’ĕ·nāš יְהִ֥יב and given yə·hîḇ לַֽהּ׃ lah וּלְבַ֥ב the mind ū·lə·ḇaḇ אֱנָ֖שׁ of a man . ’ĕ·nāš Daniel 7:5 וַאֲר֣וּ Suddenly wa·’ă·rū אָחֳרִ֨י another ’ā·ḥo·rî חֵיוָה֩ beast {appeared} , ḥê·wāh תִנְיָנָ֜ה which ṯin·yā·nāh דָּמְיָ֣ה looked like dā·mə·yāh לְדֹ֗ב a bear . lə·ḏōḇ הֳקִמַ֔ת It was raised up ho·qi·maṯ חַד֙ on one ḥaḏ וְלִשְׂטַר־ of its sides , wə·liś·ṭar- וּתְלָ֥ת and it had three ū·ṯə·lāṯ עִלְעִ֛ין ribs ‘il·‘în בְּפֻמַּ֖הּ in its mouth bə·p̄um·mah בֵּ֣ין between bên שִׁנַּיַּהּ its teeth . šin·nay·yah וְכֵן֙ So wə·ḵên אָמְרִ֣ין it was told ’ā·mə·rîn לַ֔הּ , lah ק֥וּמִֽי ‘ Get up qū·mî אֲכֻ֖לִי [and] gorge yourself ’ă·ḵu·lî בְּשַׂ֥ר on flesh bə·śar שַׂגִּֽיא׃ . . . ! ’ śag·gî Daniel 7:6 בָּאתַ֨ר Next bā·ṯar דְּנָ֜ה . . . , də·nāh הֲוֵ֗ית as I hă·wêṯ חָזֵ֣ה watched , ḥā·zêh אָֽחֳרִי֙ another beast ’ā·ḥo·rî וַאֲר֤וּ appeared . wa·’ă·rū כִּנְמַ֔ר It was like a leopard , kin·mar עַל־ and on ‘al- גַּבַּיַּהּ its back gab·bay·yah וְלַ֨הּ it had wə·lah אַרְבַּ֛ע four ’ar·ba‘ גַּפִּ֥ין wings gap·pîn דִּי־ like those of dî- ע֖וֹף a bird . ‘ō·wp̄ לְחֵ֣יוְתָ֔א The beast also lə·ḥê·wə·ṯā וְאַרְבְּעָ֤ה had four wə·’ar·bə·‘āh רֵאשִׁין֙ heads , rê·šîn יְהִ֥יב and it was given yə·hîḇ
