תִּֿרְצָֽ֖ח׃ס murder . tir·ṣå̄ḥ Exodus 20:14 לֹ֣֖א You shall not lō תִּֿנְאָֽ֑ף׃ס commit adultery . tin·ʾå̄p̄ Exodus 20:15 לֹ֣֖א You shall not lō תִּֿגְנֹֽ֔ב׃ס steal . tiḡ·nōḇ Exodus 20:16 לֹֽא־ You shall not lō- תַעֲנֶ֥ה bear ṯa·‘ă·neh שָֽׁקֶר׃ס false šā·qer עֵ֥ד witness ‘êḏ בְרֵעֲךָ֖ against your neighbor . ḇə·rê·‘ă·ḵā Exodus 20:17 לֹ֥א You shall not lō תַחְמֹ֖ד covet ṯaḥ·mōḏ רֵעֶ֑ךָ your neighbor’s rê·‘e·ḵā בֵּ֣ית house . bêṯ לֹֽא־ You shall not lō- תַחְמֹ֞ד covet ṯaḥ·mōḏ רֵעֶ֗ךָ your neighbor’s rê·‘e·ḵā אֵ֣שֶׁת wife , ’ê·šeṯ וְעַבְדּ֤וֹ or his manservant wə·‘aḇ·dōw וַאֲמָתוֹ֙ or maidservant , wa·’ă·mā·ṯōw וְשׁוֹר֣וֹ or his ox wə·šō·w·rōw וַחֲמֹר֔וֹ or donkey , wa·ḥă·mō·rōw וְכֹ֖ל or anything wə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer לְרֵעֶֽךָ׃פ belongs to your neighbor . ” lə·rê·‘e·ḵā Exodus 20:18 וְכָל־ When all wə·ḵāl הָעָם֩ the people hā·‘ām רֹאִ֨ים witnessed rō·’îm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַקּוֹלֹ֜ת the thunder haq·qō·w·lōṯ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַלַּפִּידִ֗ם and lightning , hal·lap·pî·ḏim וְאֵת֙ - wə·’êṯ ק֣וֹל the sounding qō·wl הַשֹּׁפָ֔ר of the ram’s horn , haš·šō·p̄ār וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָהָ֖ר and the mountain hā·hār עָשֵׁ֑ן enveloped in smoke , ‘ā·šên הָעָם֙ - hā·‘ām וַיַּ֤רְא - way·yar וַיָּנֻ֔עוּ they trembled way·yā·nu·‘ū וַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּ and stood way·ya·‘am·ḏū מֵֽרָחֹֽק׃ at a distance . mê·rā·ḥōq Exodus 20:19 דַּבֵּר־ “ Speak dab·bêr- עִמָּ֖נוּ to us ‘im·mā·nū אַתָּ֥ה yourself ’at·tāh וְנִשְׁמָ֑עָה and we will listen , ” wə·niš·mā·‘āh וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ they said way·yō·mə·rū אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses . mō·šeh וְאַל־ “ But do not wə·’al- אֱלֹהִ֖ים let God ’ĕ·lō·hîm יְדַבֵּ֥ר speak yə·ḏab·bêr עִמָּ֛נוּ to us , ‘im·mā·nū פֶּן־ or pen- נָמֽוּת׃ we will die . ” nā·mūṯ Exodus 20:20 אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָאוּ֒ be afraid , ” tî·rā·’ū מֹשֶׁ֣ה Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֨אמֶר replied way·yō·mer אֶל־ - ’el- הָעָם֮ - . hā·‘ām כִּ֗י “ For kî הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm בָּ֖א has come bā לְבַֽעֲבוּר֙ to lə·ḇa·‘ă·ḇūr נַסּ֣וֹת test you , nas·sō·wṯ אֶתְכֶ֔ם - ’eṯ·ḵem וּבַעֲב֗וּר so that ū·ḇa·‘ă·ḇūr תִּהְיֶ֧ה . . . tih·yeh יִרְאָת֛וֹ the fear of Him yir·’ā·ṯōw עַל־ may be before ‘al- פְּנֵיכֶ֖ם you , pə·nê·ḵem לְבִלְתִּ֥י to keep lə·ḇil·tî תֶחֱטָֽאוּ׃ you from sinning . ” ṯe·ḥĕ·ṭā·’ū Exodus 20:21 הָעָ֖ם And the people hā·‘ām
