וְשָׁמְמ֖וּ appalled wə·šā·mə·mū עָלָֽיִךְ׃ over you . ‘ā·lā·yiḵ Ezekiel 26:17 וְנָשְׂא֨וּ Then they will lament wə·nā·śə·’ū קִינָה֙ . . . qî·nāh עָלַ֤יִךְ for you , ‘ā·la·yiḵ וְאָ֣מְרוּ saying wə·’ā·mə·rū לָ֔ךְ - , lāḵ אֵ֣יךְ “ How ’êḵ אָבַ֔דְתְּ you have perished , ’ā·ḇaḏt הָעִ֣יר O city hā·‘îr הַהֻלָּ֗לָה of renown ha·hul·lā·lāh נוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת inhabited nō·wō·še·ḇeṯ מִיַּמִּ֑ים by seafaring [men] — mî·yam·mîm אֲשֶׁר֩ she who ’ă·šer הָיְתָ֨ה was hā·yə·ṯāh חֲזָקָ֤ה powerful ḥă·zā·qāh בַיָּם֙ on the sea , ḇay·yām הִ֣יא - hî וְיֹשְׁבֶ֔יהָ along with her people , wə·yō·šə·ḇe·hā אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- נָתְנ֥וּ imposed nā·ṯə·nū חִתִּיתָ֖ם terror ḥit·tî·ṯām לְכָל־ on all lə·ḵāl יוֹשְׁבֶֽיהָ׃ peoples ! yō·wō·šə·ḇe·hā Ezekiel 26:18 עַתָּה֙ Now ‘at·tāh הָֽאִיִּ֔ן the coastlands hā·’î·yin יֶחְרְד֣וּ tremble yeḥ·rə·ḏū י֖וֹם on the day yō·wm מַפַּלְתֵּ֑ךְ of your downfall ; map·pal·têḵ הָאִיִּ֥ים the islands hā·’î·yîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- בַּיָּ֖ם in the sea bay·yām וְנִבְהֲל֛וּ are dismayed wə·niḇ·hă·lū מִצֵּאתֵֽךְ׃ס by your demise . ”’ miṣ·ṣê·ṯêḵ Ezekiel 26:19 כִּ֣י For kî כֹ֤ה this is what ḵōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar בְּתִתִּ֤י ‘ When I make bə·ṯit·tî אֹתָךְ֙ you ’ō·ṯāḵ נֶחֱרֶ֔בֶת a desolate ne·ḥĕ·re·ḇeṯ עִ֣יר city ‘îr לֹֽא־ like other deserted lō- נוֹשָׁ֑בוּ . . . nō·wō·šā·ḇū כֶּעָרִ֖ים cities , ke·‘ā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בְּהַעֲל֤וֹת [and] when I raise up bə·ha·‘ă·lō·wṯ תְּה֔וֹם the deep tə·hō·wm עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ against you ‘ā·la·yiḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָרַבִּֽים׃ so that the mighty hā·rab·bîm הַמַּ֥יִם waters ham·ma·yim וְכִסּ֖וּךְ cover you , wə·ḵis·sūḵ Ezekiel 26:20 וְהוֹרַדְתִּיךְ֩ then I will bring you down wə·hō·w·raḏ·tîḵ אֶת־ with ’eṯ- י֨וֹרְדֵי those who descend yō·wr·ḏê ב֜וֹר to the Pit , ḇō·wr אֶל־ to ’el- עַ֣ם the people ‘am עוֹלָ֗ם of antiquity . ‘ō·w·lām וְ֠הוֹשַׁבְתִּיךְ I will make you dwell wə·hō·wō·šaḇ·tîḵ בְּאֶ֨רֶץ in the earth bə·’e·reṣ תַּחְתִּיּ֜וֹת below taḥ·tî·yō·wṯ מֵֽעוֹלָם֙ like the ancient mê·‘ō·w·lām כָּחֳרָב֤וֹת ruins , kā·ḥo·rā·ḇō·wṯ אֶת־ with ’eṯ- י֣וֹרְדֵי those who descend yō·wr·ḏê ב֔וֹר to the Pit , ḇō·wr לְמַ֖עַן so that lə·ma·‘an לֹ֣א you will no lō תֵשֵׁ֑בִי longer be inhabited ṯê·šê·ḇî וְנָתַתִּ֥י or set wə·nā·ṯat·tî צְבִ֖י in splendor ṣə·ḇî בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ חַיִּֽים׃ of the living . ḥay·yîm Ezekiel 26:21 אֶתְּנֵ֖ךְ I will make ’et·tə·nêḵ בַּלָּה֥וֹת you an object of horror , bal·lā·hō·wṯ וְאֵינֵ֑ךְ and you will be no more . wə·’ê·nêḵ וּֽתְבֻקְשִׁ֗י You will be sought , ū·ṯə·ḇuq·šî וְלֹֽא־ but will never wə·lō- לְעוֹלָ֔ם . . . lə·‘ō·w·lām תִמָּצְאִ֥י be found ṯim·mā·ṣə·’î עוֹד֙ - , ’ ‘ō·wḏ נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um
