שְׁפָט֔וּךְ I will judge you šə·p̄ā·ṭūḵ כִּדְרָכַ֤יִךְ according to your ways kiḏ·rā·ḵa·yiḵ וְכַעֲלִילוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ and deeds , ’ wə·ḵa·‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯa·yiḵ נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהֹוִֽה׃פ YHWH . ” Yah·weh Ezekiel 24:15 דְבַר־ Then the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֥י came way·hî אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Ezekiel 24:16 בֶּן־ “ Son ben- אָדָ֕ם of man , ’ā·ḏām הִנְנִ֨י behold , hin·nî לֹקֵ֧חַ I am about to take away lō·qê·aḥ מַחְמַ֥ד the desire maḥ·maḏ עֵינֶ֖יךָ of your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā מִמְּךָ֛ . . . mim·mə·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּמַגֵּפָ֑ה with a fatal blow . bə·mag·gê·p̄āh וְלֹ֤א But you must not wə·lō תִסְפֹּד֙ mourn ṯis·pōḏ וְלֹ֣א . . . wə·lō תִבְכֶּ֔ה or weep ṯiḇ·keh וְל֥וֹא . . . wə·lō·w דִּמְעָתֶֽךָ׃ or let your tears dim·‘ā·ṯe·ḵā תָב֖וֹא flow . ṯā·ḇō·w Ezekiel 24:17 הֵאָנֵ֣ק׀ Groan hê·’ā·nêq דֹּ֗ם quietly ; dōm לֹֽא־ do not lō- תַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה vvv ṯa·‘ă·śeh אֵ֣בֶל mourn ’ê·ḇel מֵתִים֙ for the dead . mê·ṯîm חֲב֣וֹשׁ Put ḥă·ḇō·wōš עָלֶ֔יךָ on ‘ā·le·ḵā פְאֵֽרְךָ֙ your turban p̄ə·’ê·rə·ḵā תָּשִׂ֣ים and strap tā·śîm וּנְעָלֶ֖יךָ your sandals ū·nə·‘ā·le·ḵā בְּרַגְלֶ֑יךָ on your feet ; bə·raḡ·le·ḵā וְלֹ֤א do not wə·lō תַעְטֶה֙ cover ṯa‘·ṭeh עַל־ . . . ‘al- שָׂפָ֔ם [your] lips śā·p̄ām תֹאכֵֽל׃ or eat ṯō·ḵêl וְלֶ֥חֶם the bread wə·le·ḥem אֲנָשִׁ֖ים of mourners ’ă·nā·šîm לֹ֥א . . . . ” lō Ezekiel 24:18 וָאֲדַבֵּ֤ר So I spoke wā·’ă·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- הָעָם֙ the people hā·‘ām בַּבֹּ֔קֶר in the morning , bab·bō·qer בָּעָ֑רֶב and in the evening bā·‘ā·reḇ אִשְׁתִּ֖י my wife ’iš·tî וַתָּ֥מָת died . wat·tā·māṯ בַּבֹּ֖קֶר And the next morning bab·bō·qer וָאַ֥עַשׂ I did wā·’a·‘aś כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer צֻוֵּֽיתִי׃ I had been commanded . ṣuw·wê·ṯî Ezekiel 24:19 הָעָ֑ם Then the people hā·‘ām וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ asked me , way·yō·mə·rū אֵלַ֖י . . . ’ê·lay הֲלֹֽא־ “ Won’t hă·lō- תַגִּ֥יד you tell ṯag·gîḏ לָ֙נוּ֙ us lā·nū מָה־ what māh- אֵ֣לֶּה these [things] ’êl·leh כִּ֥י . . . kî אַתָּ֖ה you ’at·tāh עֹשֶֽׂה׃ are doing ‘ō·śeh לָּ֔נוּ mean to us ? ” lā·nū Ezekiel 24:20 וָאֹמַ֖ר So I answered wā·’ō·mar אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם them , ’ă·lê·hem דְּבַ֨ר־ “ The word də·ḇar- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָיָ֥ה came hā·yāh אֵלַ֖י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying : lê·mōr Ezekiel 24:21 אֱמֹ֣ר׀ Tell ’ĕ·mōr לְבֵ֣ית the house lə·ḇêṯ
