סְגָנֶ֑יהָ their officials , sə·ḡā·ne·hā וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ and all kāl- אֶ֥רֶץ the lands ’e·reṣ מֶמְשַׁלְתּֽוֹ׃ they rule . mem·šal·tōw Jeremiah 51:29 הָאָ֖רֶץ The earth hā·’ā·reṣ וַתִּרְעַ֥שׁ quakes wat·tir·‘aš וַתָּחֹ֑ל and writhes wat·tā·ḥōl כִּ֣י because kî יְהוָ֔ה YHWH’s Yah·weh מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת intentions maḥ·šə·ḇō·wṯ עַל־ against ‘al- בָּבֶל֙ Babylon bā·ḇel קָ֤מָה stand : qā·māh לָשׂ֞וּם to make lā·śūm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֶ֧רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon bā·ḇel לְשַׁמָּ֖ה a desolation , lə·šam·māh מֵאֵ֥ין without mê·’ên יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ inhabitant . yō·wō·šêḇ Jeremiah 51:30 גִבּוֹרֵ֨י The warriors ḡib·bō·w·rê בָבֶ֜ל of Babylon ḇā·ḇel חָדְלוּ֩ have stopped ḥā·ḏə·lū לְהִלָּחֵ֗ם fighting ; lə·hil·lā·ḥêm יָֽשְׁבוּ֙ they sit yā·šə·ḇū בַּמְּצָד֔וֹת in their strongholds . bam·mə·ṣā·ḏō·wṯ גְבוּרָתָ֖ם Their strength ḡə·ḇū·rā·ṯām נָשְׁתָ֥ה is exhausted ; nā·šə·ṯāh הָי֣וּ they have become hā·yū לְנָשִׁ֑ים like women . lə·nā·šîm מִשְׁכְּנֹתֶ֖יהָ Babylon’s homes miš·kə·nō·ṯe·hā הִצִּ֥יתוּ have been set ablaze , hiṣ·ṣî·ṯū בְרִיחֶֽיהָ׃ the bars of her gates ḇə·rî·ḥe·hā נִשְׁבְּר֥וּ are broken . niš·bə·rū Jeremiah 51:31 רָ֤ץ One courier rāṣ רָץ֙ races rāṣ לִקְרַאת־ to meet liq·raṯ- יָר֔וּץ another , yā·rūṣ וּמַגִּ֖יד and messenger ū·mag·gîḏ לִקְרַ֣את follows liq·raṯ מַגִּ֑יד messenger , mag·gîḏ לְהַגִּיד֙ to announce lə·hag·gîḏ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ to the king lə·me·leḵ בָּבֶ֔ל of Babylon bā·ḇel כִּֽי־ that kî- עִיר֖וֹ his city ‘î·rōw נִלְכְּדָ֥ה has been captured nil·kə·ḏāh מִקָּצֶֽה׃ from end to end . miq·qā·ṣeh Jeremiah 51:32 וְהַמַּעְבָּר֣וֹת The fords wə·ham·ma‘·bā·rō·wṯ נִתְפָּ֔שׂוּ have been seized , niṯ·pā·śū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָאֲגַמִּ֖ים the marshes hā·’ă·ḡam·mîm שָׂרְפ֣וּ set on fire śā·rə·p̄ū בָאֵ֑שׁ . . . , ḇā·’êš וְאַנְשֵׁ֥י and the soldiers wə·’an·šê הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה . . . ham·mil·ḥā·māh נִבְהָֽלוּ׃ס are terrified . ” niḇ·hā·lū Jeremiah 51:33 כִּי֩ For kî כֹ֨ה this is what ḵōh יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאוֹת֙ of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֜ר says : ’ā·mar בַּת־ “ The Daughter baṯ- בָּבֶ֕ל of Babylon bā·ḇel כְּגֹ֖רֶן is like a threshing floor kə·ḡō·ren עֵ֣ת at the time ‘êṯ הִדְרִיכָ֑הּ it is trampled . hiḏ·rî·ḵāh ע֣וֹד In just a little while ‘ō·wḏ מְעַ֔ט . . . mə·‘aṭ הַקָּצִ֖יר her harvest haq·qā·ṣîr לָֽהּ׃ lāh עֵֽת־ time ‘êṯ- וּבָ֥אָה will come . ” ū·ḇā·’āh Jeremiah 51:34 נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר֮ “ Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ בָּבֶל֒ of Babylon bā·ḇel אֲכָלָנוּ has devoured me ; ʾă·ḵå̄·lå̄·nū הֲמָמָנוּ he has crushed me . hă·må̄·må̄·nū הִצִּיגָנוּ He has set me aside hiṣ·ṣī·ḡå̄·nū
