Jeremiah 42:19 יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֨ר has told dib·ber עֲלֵיכֶם֙ you , ‘ă·lê·ḵem שְׁאֵרִ֣ית O remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh אַל־ ‘ Do not ’al- תָּבֹ֖אוּ go tā·ḇō·’ū מִצְרָ֑יִם to Egypt . ’ miṣ·rā·yim יָדֹ֙עַ֙ Know yā·ḏō·a‘ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ for sure tê·ḏə·‘ū כִּי־ that kî- הַעִידֹ֥תִי I have warned ha·‘î·ḏō·ṯî בָכֶ֖ם you ḇā·ḵem הַיּֽוֹם׃ today ! hay·yō·wm Jeremiah 42:20 כִּ֣י For kî בְּנַפְשֽׁוֹתֵיכֶם֒ you bə·nap̄·šō·w·ṯê·ḵem כִּֽי־ . . . kî- הִתְעֵתֶים have deceived hiṯ·ʿē·ṯɛm אַתֶּ֞ם yourselves ’at·tem שְׁלַחְתֶּ֣ם by sending šə·laḥ·tem אֹתִ֗י me ’ō·ṯî אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ your God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem לֵאמֹ֔ר saying , lê·mōr הִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל ‘ Pray hiṯ·pal·lêl אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū בַּעֲדֵ֔נוּ on our behalf , ba·‘ă·ḏê·nū וּכְכֹל֩ and as for all ū·ḵə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֧ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֛ינוּ our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū כֵּ֥ן . . . kên יֹאמַ֜ר says , yō·mar הַגֶּד־ tell it hag·geḏ- לָ֖נוּ to us lā·nū וְעָשִֽׂינוּ׃ and we will do it .’ wə·‘ā·śî·nū Jeremiah 42:21 וָאַגִּ֥ד For I have told wā·’ag·giḏ לָכֶ֖ם you lā·ḵem הַיּ֑וֹם today , hay·yō·wm וְלֹ֣א but you have not wə·lō שְׁמַעְתֶּ֗ם obeyed šə·ma‘·tem בְּקוֹל֙ the voice bə·qō·wl יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם your God ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem וּלְכֹ֖ל in all ū·lə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- שְׁלָחַ֥נִי He has sent me šə·lā·ḥa·nî אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ to tell you . ’ă·lê·ḵem Jeremiah 42:22 וְעַתָּה֙ Now therefore , wə·‘at·tāh יָדֹ֣עַ know yā·ḏō·a‘ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ for sure tê·ḏə·‘ū כִּ֗י that kî בַּחֶ֛רֶב by sword ba·ḥe·reḇ בָּרָעָ֥ב and famine bā·rā·‘āḇ וּבַדֶּ֖בֶר and plague ū·ḇad·de·ḇer תָּמ֑וּתוּ you will die tā·mū·ṯū בַּמָּקוֹם֙ in the place bam·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֣ר where ’ă·šer חֲפַצְתֶּ֔ם you desire ḥă·p̄aṣ·tem לָב֖וֹא to go lā·ḇō·w לָג֥וּר to reside .” lā·ḡūr שָֽׁם׃ס . . . šām Jeremiah 43:1 וַיְהִי֩ - way·hî יִרְמְיָ֜הוּ When Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū כְּכַלּ֨וֹת had finished kə·ḵal·lō·wṯ לְדַבֵּ֣ר telling lə·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ . . . ’el- כָּל־ all kāl- הָעָ֗ם the people hā·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- דִּבְרֵי֙ the words diḇ·rê יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם their God — ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem אֲשֶׁ֧ר - ’ă·šer כָּל־ everything that kāl- הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ס . . . hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים . . . had·də·ḇā·rîm יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם . . . ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem שְׁלָח֛וֹ had sent him šə·lā·ḥōw אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם to [say] — ’ă·lê·hem אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ
