יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh הִ֧יא which hî שְׁמֹנֶֽה־ was the eighteenth šə·mō·neh- עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָ֖ה . . . šā·nāh הַשָּׁנָ֛ה year haš·šā·nāh לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּֽר׃ of Nebuchadnezzar . lin·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar Jeremiah 32:2 וְאָ֗ז At that time wə·’āz חֵ֚יל the army ḥêl מֶ֣לֶךְ of the king me·leḵ בָּבֶ֔ל of Babylon bā·ḇel צָרִ֖ים was besieging ṣā·rîm עַל־ . . . ‘al- יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וְיִרְמְיָ֣הוּ and Jeremiah wə·yir·mə·yā·hū הַנָּבִ֗יא the prophet han·nā·ḇî הָיָ֤ה was hā·yāh כָלוּא֙ imprisoned ḵā·lū בַּחֲצַ֣ר in the courtyard ba·ḥă·ṣar הַמַּטָּרָ֔ה of the guard , ham·maṭ·ṭā·rāh אֲשֶׁ֖ר which was ’ă·šer בֵּֽית־ in the palace bêṯ- מֶ֥לֶךְ of the king me·leḵ יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh Jeremiah 32:3 אֲשֶׁ֣ר For ’ă·šer צִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh כְּלָא֔וֹ had imprisoned him , kə·lā·’ōw לֵאמֹ֑ר saying : lê·mōr מַדּוּעַ֩ “ Why mad·dū·a‘ אַתָּ֨ה are you ’at·tāh נִבָּ֜א prophesying nib·bā כֹּ֚ה like this ? kōh לֵאמֹ֗ר You claim that lê·mōr יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says , ’ā·mar הִנְנִ֨י ‘ Behold , hin·nî נֹתֵ֜ן I am about to deliver nō·ṯên הַזֹּ֛את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֥יר city hā·‘îr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּיַ֥ד into the hand bə·yaḏ מֶֽלֶךְ־ of the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֖ל of Babylon , bā·ḇel וּלְכָדָֽהּ׃ and he will capture it . ū·lə·ḵā·ḏāh Jeremiah 32:4 וְצִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ Zedekiah wə·ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh לֹ֥א will not lō יִמָּלֵ֖ט escape yim·mā·lêṭ מִיַּ֣ד from the hands mî·yaḏ הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים of the Chaldeans , hak·kaś·dîm כִּ֣י but kî הִנָּתֹ֤ן he will surely be delivered hin·nā·ṯōn יִנָּתֵן֙ . . . yin·nā·ṯên בְּיַ֣ד into the hand bə·yaḏ מֶֽלֶךְ־ of the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֔ל of Babylon , bā·ḇel וְדִבֶּר־ and will speak with him wə·ḏib·ber- פִּ֣יו face pîw עִם־ to ‘im- פִּ֔יו face pîw תִּרְאֶֽינָה׃ and see him tir·’e·nāh וְעֵינָ֖יו eye wə·‘ê·nāw אֶת־ ’eṯ- עֵינוֹ to eye . ʿē·nō Jeremiah 32:5 יוֹלִ֤ךְ He will take yō·w·liḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū וּבָבֶ֞ל to Babylon , ū·ḇā·ḇel וְשָׁ֣ם where wə·šām יִֽהְיֶ֔ה he will stay yih·yeh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- פָּקְדִ֥י I attend to pā·qə·ḏî אֹת֖וֹ him , ’ō·ṯōw נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH . Yah·weh כִּ֧י If kî תִֽלָּחֲמ֛וּ you fight ṯil·lā·ḥă·mū אֶת־ against ’eṯ- הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים the Chaldeans , hak·kaś·dîm לֹ֥א you will not lō תַצְלִֽיחוּ׃פ succeed . ’” ṯaṣ·lî·ḥū Jeremiah 32:6 יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū
