וְאָנֹכִ֛י though I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî בָּעַ֥לְתִּי was a husband bā·‘al·tî בָ֖ם to them , ” ḇām נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 31:33 כִּ֣י “ But kî זֹ֣את this zōṯ הַבְּרִ֡ית is the covenant hab·bə·rîṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer אֶכְרֹת֩ I will make ’eḵ·rōṯ אֶת־ with ’eṯ- בֵּ֨ית the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl אַחֲרֵ֨י after ’a·ḥă·rê הָהֵם֙ those hā·hêm הַיָּמִ֤ים days , hay·yā·mîm נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH . Yah·weh נָתַ֤תִּי I will put nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תּֽוֹרָתִי֙ My law tō·w·rā·ṯî בְּקִרְבָּ֔ם in their minds bə·qir·bām אֶכְתֲּבֶ֑נָּה and inscribe it ’eḵ·tă·ḇen·nāh וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- לִבָּ֖ם their hearts . lib·bām וְהָיִ֤יתִי And I will be wə·hā·yî·ṯî לָהֶם֙ their lā·hem לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים God , lê·lō·hîm וְהֵ֖מָּה and they wə·hêm·māh יִֽהְיוּ־ will be yih·yū- לִ֥י My lî לְעָֽם׃ people . lə·‘ām Jeremiah 31:34 וְלֹ֧א No wə·lō ע֗וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ אִ֣ישׁ will each man ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְלַמְּד֣וּ teach yə·lam·mə·ḏū רֵעֵ֜הוּ his neighbor rê·‘ê·hū וְאִ֤ישׁ [or] wə·’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָחִיו֙ his brother , ’ā·ḥîw לֵאמֹ֔ר saying , lê·mōr דְּע֖וּ ‘ Know də·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH ,’ Yah·weh כִּֽי־ because kî- כוּלָּם֩ they will all ḵūl·lām יֵדְע֨וּ know yê·ḏə·‘ū אוֹתִ֜י Me , ’ō·w·ṯî לְמִקְטַנָּ֤ם from the least of them lə·miq·ṭan·nām וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- גְּדוֹלָם֙ the greatest , gə·ḏō·w·lām נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH . Yah·weh כִּ֤י For kî אֶסְלַח֙ I will forgive ’es·laḥ לַֽעֲוֺנָ֔ם their iniquities la·‘ă·wō·nām אֶזְכָּר־ and will remember ’ez·kār- וּלְחַטָּאתָ֖ם their sins ū·lə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām לֹ֥א no lō עֽוֹד׃ס more . ” ‘ō·wḏ Jeremiah 31:35 כֹּ֣ה׀ Thus kōh אָמַ֣ר says ’ā·mar יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh נֹתֵ֥ן who gives nō·ṯên שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ the sun še·meš לְא֣וֹר for light lə·’ō·wr יוֹמָ֔ם by day , yō·w·mām חֻקֹּ֛ת [who] sets in order ḥuq·qōṯ יָרֵ֥חַ the moon yā·rê·aḥ וְכוֹכָבִ֖ים and stars wə·ḵō·w·ḵā·ḇîm לְא֣וֹר for light lə·’ō·wr לָ֑יְלָה by night , lā·yə·lāh רֹגַ֤ע who stirs up rō·ḡa‘ הַיָּם֙ the sea hay·yām גַלָּ֔יו so that its waves ḡal·lāw וַיֶּהֱמ֣וּ roar — way·ye·hĕ·mū יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ שְׁמֽוֹ׃ is His name : šə·mōw Jeremiah 31:36 אִם־ “ Only if ’im- הָאֵ֛לֶּה this hā·’êl·leh הַחֻקִּ֥ים fixed order ha·ḥuq·qîm יָמֻ֜שׁוּ departed yā·mu·šū מִלְּפָנַ֖י from My presence , mil·lə·p̄ā·nay נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל would Israel’s yiś·rā·’êl
