כִּ֥י . . . kî מְתַחֲרֶ֣ה to excel mə·ṯa·ḥă·reh אַתָּ֖ה - ’at·tāh בָאָ֑רֶז in cedar ? ḇā·’ā·rez הֲל֧וֹא Did not hă·lō·w אָבִ֜יךָ your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā אָכַ֣ל have food ’ā·ḵal וְשָׁתָ֗ה and drink ? wə·šā·ṯāh וְעָשָׂ֤ה He administered wə·‘ā·śāh מִשְׁפָּט֙ justice miš·pāṭ וּצְדָקָ֔ה and righteousness , ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh אָ֖ז and so ’āz ט֥וֹב it went well ṭō·wḇ לֽוֹ׃ with him . lōw Jeremiah 22:16 דָּ֛ן He took up dān דִּין־ the cause dîn- עָנִ֥י of the poor ‘ā·nî וְאֶבְי֖וֹן and needy , wə·’eḇ·yō·wn אָ֣ז and so ’āz ט֑וֹב it went well [with him] . ṭō·wḇ הִ֛יא Is this hî הֲלוֹא־ not hă·lō·w- הַדַּ֥עַת what it means to know had·da·‘aṯ אֹתִ֖י Me ? ” ’ō·ṯî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 22:17 כִּ֣י “ But kî עֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā וְלִבְּךָ֔ and heart wə·lib·bə·ḵā אֵ֤ין [are set on] nothing ’ên כִּ֖י except kî אִם־ . . . ’im- עַל־ . . . ‘al- בִּצְעֶ֑ךָ your own dishonest gain , biṣ·‘e·ḵā וְעַ֤ל - wə·‘al לִשְׁפּ֔וֹךְ on shedding liš·pō·wḵ וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- הַנָּקִי֙ innocent han·nā·qî דַּֽם־ blood , dam- לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ס on practicing la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הָעֹ֥שֶׁק extortion hā·‘ō·šeq וְעַל־ and wə·‘al- הַמְּרוּצָ֖ה oppression . ” ham·mə·rū·ṣāh Jeremiah 22:18 לָכֵ֞ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says ’ā·mar אֶל־ concerning ’el- יְהוֹיָקִ֤ים Jehoiakim yə·hō·w·yā·qîm בֶּן־ son ben- יֹאשִׁיָּ֙הוּ֙ of Josiah yō·šî·yā·hū מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah : yə·hū·ḏāh לֹא־ “ They will not lō- יִסְפְּד֣וּ mourn yis·pə·ḏū ל֔וֹ for him : lōw ה֥וֹי ‘ Alas , hō·w אָחִ֖י my brother ! ’ā·ḥî וְה֣וֹי Alas , wə·hō·w אָח֑וֹת my sister ! ’ ’ā·ḥō·wṯ לֹא־ They will not lō- יִסְפְּד֣וּ mourn yis·pə·ḏū ל֔וֹ for him : lōw ה֥וֹי ‘ Alas , hō·w אָד֖וֹן my master ! ’ā·ḏō·wn וְה֥וֹי Alas , wə·hō·w הֹדֹֽה׃ his splendor ! ’ hō·ḏōh Jeremiah 22:19 קְבוּרַ֥ת vvv qə·ḇū·raṯ יִקָּבֵ֑ר He will be buried yiq·qā·ḇêr חֲמ֖וֹר like a donkey , ḥă·mō·wr סָח֣וֹב dragged away sā·ḥō·wḇ וְהַשְׁלֵ֔ךְ and thrown wə·haš·lêḵ מֵהָ֖לְאָה outside mê·hā·lə·’āh לְשַׁעֲרֵ֥י the gates lə·ša·‘ă·rê יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ס of Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Jeremiah 22:20 עֲלִ֤י Go up ‘ă·lî הַלְּבָנוֹן֙ to Lebanon hal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn וּֽצְעָ֔קִי and cry out ; ū·ṣə·‘ā·qî תְּנִ֣י raise tə·nî קוֹלֵ֑ךְ your voice qō·w·lêḵ וּבַבָּשָׁ֖ן in Bashan ; ū·ḇab·bā·šān וְצַֽעֲקִי֙ cry out wə·ṣa·‘ă·qî מֵֽעֲבָרִ֔ים from Abarim , mê·‘ă·ḇā·rîm כִּ֥י for kî כָּל־ all kāl-
