Jeremiah 6:6 כִּ֣י For kî כֹ֤ה this is what ḵōh יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar כִּרְת֣וּ “ Cut down kir·ṯū עֵצָ֔ה the trees ‘ê·ṣāh וְשִׁפְכ֥וּ and raise wə·šip̄·ḵū סֹלְלָ֑ה a siege ramp sō·lə·lāh עַל־ against ‘al- יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim הִ֚יא This hî הָעִ֣יר city hā·‘îr הָפְקַ֔ד must be punished ; hā·p̄ə·qaḏ כֻּלָּ֖הּ there is nothing but kul·lāh עֹ֥שֶׁק oppression ‘ō·šeq בְּקִרְבָּֽהּ׃ in her midst . bə·qir·bāh Jeremiah 6:7 בְּוֵר As a well bə·wēr כְּהָקִ֥יר gushes kə·hā·qîr מֵימֶ֔יהָ its water , mê·me·hā כֵּ֖ן so kên הֵקֵ֣רָה she pours out hê·qê·rāh רָעָתָ֑הּ her evil . rā·‘ā·ṯāh חָמָ֣ס Violence ḥā·mās וָ֠שֹׁד and destruction wā·šōḏ יִשָּׁ֨מַע resound yiš·šā·ma‘ בָּ֧הּ in her ; bāh חֳלִ֥י sickness ḥo·lî וּמַכָּֽה׃ and wounds ū·mak·kāh תָּמִ֖יד are ever tā·mîḏ עַל־ before ‘al- פָּנַ֛י Me . pā·nay Jeremiah 6:8 הִוָּסְרִי֙ Be forewarned , hiw·wā·sə·rî יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם O Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim פֶּן־ or pen- נַפְשִׁ֖י I nap̄·šî תֵּקַ֥ע will turn away tê·qa‘ מִמֵּ֑ךְ from you ; mim·mêḵ פֶּן־ . . . pen- אֲשִׂימֵ֣ךְ I will make ’ă·śî·mêḵ שְׁמָמָ֔ה you a desolation , šə·mā·māh אֶ֖רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ ל֥וֹא without lō·w נוֹשָֽׁבָה׃פ inhabitant . ” nō·wō·šā·ḇāh Jeremiah 6:9 כֹּ֤ה This is what kōh יְהֹוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar שְׁאֵרִ֣ית “ {Glean} the remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl עוֹלֵ֛ל as thoroughly ‘ō·w·lêl יְעוֹלְל֥וּ . . . yə·‘ō·wl·lū כַגֶּ֖פֶן as a vine . ḵag·ge·p̄en יָדְךָ֔ Pass your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā הָשֵׁב֙ once more hā·šêḇ כְּבוֹצֵ֖ר like a grape gatherer kə·ḇō·w·ṣêr עַל־ over ‘al- סַלְסִלּֽוֹת׃ the branches . ” sal·sil·lō·wṯ Jeremiah 6:10 עַל־ To ‘al- מִ֨י whom mî אֲדַבְּרָ֤ה can I give ’ă·ḏab·bə·rāh וְאָעִ֙ידָה֙ this warning ? wə·’ā·‘î·ḏāh וְיִשְׁמָ֔עוּ Who will listen [to me] ? wə·yiš·mā·‘ū הִנֵּה֙ Look , hin·nêh אָזְנָ֔ם their ears ’ā·zə·nām עֲרֵלָ֣ה are closed , ‘ă·rê·lāh וְלֹ֥א so they cannot wə·lō יוּכְל֖וּ . . . yū·ḵə·lū לְהַקְשִׁ֑יב hear . lə·haq·šîḇ הִנֵּ֣ה See , hin·nêh דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָיָ֥ה has become hā·yāh לְחֶרְפָּ֖ה offensive lə·ḥer·pāh לָהֶ֛ם to them ; lā·hem לֹ֥א they find no lō יַחְפְּצוּ־ pleasure yaḥ·pə·ṣū- בֽוֹ׃ in it . ḇōw Jeremiah 6:11 וְאֵת֩ - wə·’êṯ מָלֵ֙אתִי֙ But I am full of mā·lê·ṯî יְהוָ֤ה׀ YHWH’s Yah·weh חֲמַ֨ת wrath ; ḥă·maṯ נִלְאֵ֣יתִי I am tired nil·’ê·ṯî הָכִ֔יל of holding it back . hā·ḵîl
