נַפְשִֽׁי׃ס Myself nap̄·šî בְּג֣וֹי on such a nation bə·ḡō·w אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- כָּזֶ֔ה as this ? kā·zeh Jeremiah 5:30 שַׁמָּה֙ A horrible šam·māh וְשַׁ֣עֲרוּרָ֔ה and shocking thing wə·ša·‘ă·rū·rāh נִהְיְתָ֖ה has happened nih·yə·ṯāh בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ in the land . bā·’ā·reṣ Jeremiah 5:31 הַנְּבִיאִ֞ים The prophets han·nə·ḇî·’îm נִבְּא֣וּ־ prophesy nib·bə·’ū- בַשֶּׁ֗קֶר falsely , ḇaš·še·qer וְהַכֹּהֲנִים֙ and the priests wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm יִרְדּ֣וּ rule yir·dū עַל־ by ‘al- יְדֵיהֶ֔ם their own authority . yə·ḏê·hem וְעַמִּ֖י My people wə·‘am·mî אָ֣הֲבוּ love ’ā·hă·ḇū כֵ֑ן it so , ḵên וּמַֽה־ but what ū·mah- תַּעֲשׂ֖וּ will you do ta·‘ă·śū לְאַחֲרִיתָֽהּ׃ in the end ? [’’] lə·’a·ḥă·rî·ṯāh Jeremiah 6:1 הָעִ֣זוּ׀ [“] Run for cover , hā·‘i·zū בְּנֵ֣י O sons bə·nê בִניָמִ֗ן of Benjamin ; ḇi·n·yå̄·min מִקֶּ֙רֶב֙ [flee from] miq·qe·reḇ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem ! yə·rū·šā·lim תִּקְע֣וּ Sound tiq·‘ū שׁוֹפָ֔ר the ram’s horn šō·w·p̄ār וּבִתְק֙וֹעַ֙ in Tekoa ; ū·ḇiṯ·qō·w·a‘ שְׂא֣וּ send up śə·’ū מַשְׂאֵ֑ת a signal maś·’êṯ וְעַל־ over wə·‘al- בֵּ֥ית vvv bêṯ הַכֶּ֖רֶם Beth-haccherem , hak·ke·rem כִּ֥י for kî רָעָ֛ה disaster rā·‘āh נִשְׁקְפָ֥ה looms niš·qə·p̄āh מִצָּפ֖וֹן from the north , miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn גָּדֽוֹל׃ even great gā·ḏō·wl וְשֶׁ֥בֶר destruction . wə·še·ḇer Jeremiah 6:2 הַנָּוָה֙ Though she is beautiful han·nā·wāh וְהַמְּעֻנָּגָ֔ה and delicate , wə·ham·mə·‘un·nā·ḡāh דָּמִ֖יתִי I will destroy dā·mî·ṯî בַּת־ the Daughter baṯ- צִיּֽוֹן׃ of Zion . ṣî·yō·wn Jeremiah 6:3 רֹעִ֖ים Shepherds rō·‘îm וְעֶדְרֵיהֶ֑ם and their flocks wə·‘eḏ·rê·hem יָבֹ֥אוּ will come yā·ḇō·’ū אֵלֶ֛יהָ against her ; ’ê·le·hā תָּקְע֨וּ they will pitch tā·qə·‘ū עָלֶ֤יהָ . . . ‘ā·le·hā אֹהָלִים֙ their tents ’ō·hā·lîm סָבִ֔יב all around her , sā·ḇîḇ רָע֖וּ . . . rā·‘ū אִ֥ישׁ each ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָדֽוֹ׃ tending his own portion : yā·ḏōw Jeremiah 6:4 קַדְּשׁ֤וּ ‘ Prepare qad·də·šū מִלְחָמָ֔ה for battle mil·ḥā·māh עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ against her ; ‘ā·le·hā ק֖וּמוּ rise up , qū·mū וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה let us attack wə·na·‘ă·leh בַֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם at noon . ḇaṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim א֥וֹי Woe ’ō·w לָ֙נוּ֙ to us , lā·nū כִּי־ for kî- הַיּ֔וֹם the daylight hay·yō·wm כִּ֥י . . . kî פָנָ֣ה is fading ; p̄ā·nāh עָֽרֶב׃ the evening ‘ā·reḇ צִלְלֵי־ shadows ṣil·lê- יִנָּט֖וּ grow long . yin·nā·ṭū Jeremiah 6:5 ק֚וּמוּ Rise up , qū·mū וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה let us attack wə·na·‘ă·leh בַלָּ֔יְלָה by night ḇal·lā·yə·lāh וְנַשְׁחִ֖יתָה and destroy wə·naš·ḥî·ṯāh אַרְמְנוֹתֶֽיהָ׃ס her fortresses ! ’” ’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā
