כִּֽי־ For kî- אֱמֶ֔ת truth ’ĕ·meṯ כָשְׁלָ֤ה has stumbled ḵā·šə·lāh בָֽרְחוֹב֙ in the public square , ḇā·rə·ḥō·wḇ וּנְכֹחָ֖ה and honesty ū·nə·ḵō·ḥāh לֹא־ cannot lō- תוּכַ֥ל . . . ṯū·ḵal לָבֽוֹא׃ enter . lā·ḇō·w Isaiah 59:15 הָֽאֱמֶת֙ Truth hā·’ĕ·meṯ וַתְּהִ֤י is wat·tə·hî נֶעְדֶּ֔רֶת missing , ne‘·de·reṯ וְסָ֥ר and whoever turns wə·sār מֵרָ֖ע from evil mê·rā‘ מִשְׁתּוֹלֵ֑ל becomes prey . miš·tō·w·lêl יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיַּ֧רְא looked way·yar וַיֵּ֥רַע and was displeased way·yê·ra‘ בְּעֵינָ֖יו . . . bə·‘ê·nāw כִּֽי־ that kî- אֵ֥ין there was no ’ên מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ justice . miš·pāṭ Isaiah 59:16 וַיַּרְא֙ He saw way·yar כִּֽי־ that kî- אֵ֣ין there was no ’ên אִ֔ישׁ man ; ’îš וַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֵ֖ם He was amazed way·yiš·tō·w·mêm כִּ֣י that kî אֵ֣ין there was no one ’ên מַפְגִּ֑יעַ to intercede . map̄·gî·a‘ זְרֹע֔וֹ So His own arm zə·rō·‘ōw וַתּ֤וֹשַֽׁע brought salvation wat·tō·wō·ša‘ לוֹ֙ , lōw וְצִדְקָת֖וֹ and His own righteousness wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw הִ֥יא . . . hî סְמָכָֽתְהוּ׃ sustained Him . sə·mā·ḵā·ṯə·hū Isaiah 59:17 וַיִּלְבַּ֤שׁ He put on way·yil·baš צְדָקָה֙ righteousness ṣə·ḏā·qāh כַּשִּׁרְיָ֔ן like a breastplate , kaš·šir·yān וְכ֥וֹבַע and the helmet wə·ḵō·w·ḇa‘ יְשׁוּעָ֖ה of salvation yə·šū·‘āh בְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹ on His head ; bə·rō·šōw וַיִּלְבַּ֞שׁ He put on way·yil·baš בִּגְדֵ֤י garments biḡ·ḏê תִּלְבֹּ֔שֶׁת . . . til·bō·šeṯ נָקָם֙ of vengeance nā·qām וַיַּ֥עַט and wrapped Himself way·ya·‘aṭ כַּמְעִ֖יל in a cloak kam·‘îl קִנְאָֽה׃ of zeal . qin·’āh Isaiah 59:18 יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם So He will repay yə·šal·lêm כְּעַ֤ל according to kə·‘al גְּמֻלוֹת֙ their deeds gə·mu·lō·wṯ כְּעַ֣ל - : kə·‘al חֵמָ֣ה fury ḥê·māh לְצָרָ֔יו to His enemies , lə·ṣā·rāw גְּמ֖וּל retribution gə·mūl לְאֹֽיְבָ֑יו to His foes , lə·’ō·yə·ḇāw גְּמ֥וּל and recompense gə·mūl יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ - yə·šal·lêm לָאִיִּ֖ים to the islands . lā·’î·yîm Isaiah 59:19 וְיִֽירְא֤וּ So shall they fear wə·yî·rə·’ū שֵׁ֣ם the name šêm יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh מִֽמַּעֲרָב֙ where the sun sets mim·ma·‘ă·rāḇ שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ . . . še·meš אֶת־ - , ’eṯ- כְּבוֹד֑וֹ and His glory kə·ḇō·w·ḏōw וּמִמִּזְרַח־ where [it] rises ū·mim·miz·raḥ- אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- כִּֽי־ For kî- יָב֤וֹא He will come yā·ḇō·w צָ֔ר like a raging ṣār כַנָּהָר֙ flood , ḵan·nā·hār נֹ֥סְסָה driven nō·sə·sāh בֽוֹ׃ ḇōw ר֥וּחַ by the breath rū·aḥ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH .
