Isaiah 51:22 כֹּֽה־ Thus kōh- אָמַ֞ר says ’ā·mar אֲדֹנַ֣יִךְ your Lord , ’ă·ḏō·na·yiḵ יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh וֵאלֹהַ֙יִךְ֙ even your God , wê·lō·ha·yiḵ יָרִ֣יב who defends yā·rîḇ עַמּ֔וֹ His people : ‘am·mōw הִנֵּ֥ה “ See , hin·nêh לָקַ֛חְתִּי I have removed lā·qaḥ·tî מִיָּדֵ֖ךְ from your hand mî·yā·ḏêḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כּ֣וֹס the cup kō·ws הַתַּרְעֵלָ֑ה of staggering hat·tar·‘ê·lāh אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- קֻבַּ֙עַת֙ From that goblet , qub·ba·‘aṯ כּ֣וֹס the cup kō·ws חֲמָתִ֔י of My fury , ḥă·mā·ṯî לֹא־ you will never lō- לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֖הּ drink liš·tō·w·ṯāh תוֹסִ֥יפִי again ṯō·w·sî·p̄î עֽוֹד׃ . . . . ‘ō·wḏ Isaiah 51:23 וְשַׂמְתִּ֙יהָ֙ I will place it wə·śam·tî·hā בְּיַד־ in the hands bə·yaḏ- מוֹגַ֔יִךְ of your tormentors , mō·w·ḡa·yiḵ אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- אָמְר֥וּ told ’ā·mə·rū לְנַפְשֵׁ֖ךְ you : lə·nap̄·šêḵ שְׁחִ֣י ‘ Lie down , šə·ḥî וְנַעֲבֹ֑רָה so we can walk over you , ’ wə·na·‘ă·ḇō·rāh וַתָּשִׂ֤ימִי so that you made wat·tā·śî·mî גֵּוֵ֔ךְ your back gê·wêḵ כָאָ֙רֶץ֙ like the ground , ḵā·’ā·reṣ וְכַח֖וּץ like a street wə·ḵa·ḥūṣ לַעֹבְרִֽים׃ס to be traversed . ” la·‘ō·ḇə·rîm Isaiah 52:1 עוּרִ֥י Awake , ‘ū·rî עוּרִ֛י awake , ‘ū·rî לִבְשִׁ֥י clothe yourself liḇ·šî עֻזֵּ֖ךְ with strength , ‘uz·zêḵ צִיּ֑וֹן O Zion ! ṣî·yō·wn לִבְשִׁ֣י׀ Put on liḇ·šî בִּגְדֵ֣י your garments biḡ·ḏê תִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְ of splendor , ṯip̄·’ar·têḵ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ O Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ holy haq·qō·ḏeš עִ֣יר city ! ‘îr כִּ֣י For kî עָרֵ֥ל the uncircumcised ‘ā·rêl וְטָמֵֽא׃ and unclean wə·ṭā·mê לֹ֥א will no lō יוֹסִ֛יף longer yō·w·sîp̄ ע֖וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ יָבֹא־ enter yā·ḇō- בָ֥ךְ you . ḇāḵ Isaiah 52:2 הִתְנַעֲרִ֧י Shake off hiṯ·na·‘ă·rî מֵעָפָ֛ר your dust ! mê·‘ā·p̄ār ק֥וּמִי Rise up qū·mî שְּׁבִ֖י [and] sit [on your throne] , šə·ḇî יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם O Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim הִתְפַּתְּחוּ Remove hiṯ·pat·tə·ḥū מוֹסְרֵ֣י the chains mō·ws·rê צַוָּארֵ֔ךְ from your neck , ṣaw·wā·rêḵ שְׁבִיָּ֖ה O captive šə·ḇî·yāh בַּת־ Daughter baṯ- צִיּֽוֹן׃ס of Zion . ṣî·yō·wn Isaiah 52:3 כִּֽי־ For kî- כֹה֙ this is what ḵōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar נִמְכַּרְתֶּ֑ם “ You were sold nim·kar·tem חִנָּ֖ם for nothing , ḥin·nām וְלֹ֥א and without wə·lō בְכֶ֖סֶף money ḇə·ḵe·sep̄ תִּגָּאֵֽלוּ׃ you will be redeemed . ” tig·gā·’ê·lū Isaiah 52:4 כִּ֣י For kî כֹ֤ה this is what ḵōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar בָרִֽאשֹׁנָ֖ה “ At first ḇā·ri·šō·nāh עַמִּ֥י My people ‘am·mî יָֽרַד־ went down yā·raḏ- מִצְרַ֛יִם to Egypt miṣ·ra·yim לָג֣וּר to live lā·ḡūr שָׁ֑ם . . . , šām וְאַשּׁ֖וּר then Assyria wə·’aš·šūr
