Isaiah 47:13 נִלְאֵ֖ית You are wearied nil·’êṯ בְּרֹ֣ב by your many bə·rōḇ עֲצָתָ֑יִךְ counselors ; ‘ă·ṣā·ṯā·yiḵ יַעַמְדוּ־ let them come forward ya·‘am·ḏū- נָ֨א now nā וְיוֹשִׁיעֻ֜ךְ and save you — wə·yō·wō·šî·‘uḵ הָבְרוּ your astrologers hå̄·ḇə·rū שָׁמַ֗יִם . . . šā·ma·yim הַֽחֹזִים֙ who observe ha·ḥō·zîm בַּכּ֣וֹכָבִ֔ים the stars , bak·kō·w·ḵā·ḇîm לֶחֳדָשִׁ֔ים who monthly le·ḥo·ḏā·šîm מֽוֹדִיעִם֙ predict mō·w·ḏî·‘im מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר your fate mê·’ă·šer יָבֹ֖אוּ . . . yā·ḇō·’ū עָלָֽיִךְ׃ . . . . ‘ā·lā·yiḵ Isaiah 47:14 הִנֵּ֨ה Surely hin·nêh הָי֤וּ they are hā·yū כְקַשׁ֙ like stubble ; ḵə·qaš אֵ֣שׁ the fire ’êš שְׂרָפָ֔תַם will burn them up . śə·rā·p̄ā·ṯam לֹֽא־ They cannot lō- יַצִּ֥ילוּ deliver yaṣ·ṣî·lū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נַפְשָׁ֖ם themselves nap̄·šām מִיַּ֣ד from the power mî·yaḏ לֶֽהָבָ֑ה of the flame . le·hā·ḇāh אֵין־ There will be no ’ên- גַּחֶ֣לֶת coals ga·ḥe·leṯ לַחְמָ֔ם to warm them laḥ·mām א֖וּר or fire ’ūr לָשֶׁ֥בֶת to sit lā·še·ḇeṯ נֶגְדּֽוֹ׃ beside . neḡ·dōw Isaiah 47:15 כֵּ֥ן This is what kên הָיוּ־ they are hā·yū- לָ֖ךְ to you — lāḵ אֲשֶׁ֣ר those with whom ’ă·šer יָגָ֑עַתְּ you have labored yā·ḡā·‘at סֹחֲרַ֣יִךְ and traded sō·ḥă·ra·yiḵ מִנְּעוּרַ֗יִךְ from youth — min·nə·‘ū·ra·yiḵ אִ֤ישׁ each one ’îš תָּע֔וּ strays tā·‘ū לְעֶבְרוֹ֙ in his own direction ; lə·‘eḇ·rōw אֵ֖ין not one of them ’ên מוֹשִׁיעֵֽךְ׃ס can save you . [’’] mō·wō·šî·‘êḵ Isaiah 48:1 שִׁמְעוּ־ [“] Listen šim·‘ū- זֹ֣את to this , zōṯ בֵּֽית־ O house bêṯ- יַעֲקֹ֗ב of Jacob , ya·‘ă·qōḇ הַנִּקְרָאִים֙ you who are called han·niq·rā·’îm בְּשֵׁ֣ם by the name bə·šêm יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl יָצָ֑אוּ who have descended yā·ṣā·’ū וּמִמֵּ֥י from the line ū·mim·mê יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh הַֽנִּשְׁבָּעִ֣ים׀ who swear han·niš·bā·‘îm בְּשֵׁ֣ם by the name bə·šêm יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH , Yah·weh יַזְכִּ֔ירוּ who invoke yaz·kî·rū וּבֵאלֹהֵ֤י the God ū·ḇê·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel — yiś·rā·’êl לֹ֥א but not lō בֶאֱמֶ֖ת in truth ḇe·’ĕ·meṯ וְלֹ֥א [or] wə·lō בִצְדָקָֽה׃ righteousness — ḇiṣ·ḏā·qāh Isaiah 48:2 כִּֽי־ who indeed kî- נִקְרָ֔אוּ call yourselves niq·rā·’ū הַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ after the holy haq·qō·ḏeš מֵעִ֤יר city mê·‘îr נִסְמָ֑כוּ and lean nis·mā·ḵū וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel ; yiś·rā·’êl יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ שְׁמֽוֹ׃ס [is] His name . šə·mōw Isaiah 48:3 הִגַּ֔דְתִּי I foretold hig·gaḏ·tî הָרִֽאשֹׁנוֹת֙ the former things hā·ri·šō·nō·wṯ מֵאָ֣ז long ago ; mê·’āz יָצְא֖וּ they came yā·ṣə·’ū וּמִפִּ֥י out of My mouth ū·mip·pî וְאַשְׁמִיעֵ֑ם and I proclaimed them . wə·’aš·mî·‘êm פִּתְאֹ֥ם Suddenly piṯ·’ōm
