יָג֣וּר can dwell with yā·ḡūr אוֹכֵלָ֔ה a consuming ’ō·w·ḵê·lāh אֵ֚שׁ fire ? ’êš מִי־ Who mî- לָ֖נוּ of us lā·nū יָג֥וּר can dwell with yā·ḡūr עוֹלָֽם׃ everlasting ‘ō·w·lām מוֹקְדֵ֥י flames ? ” mō·wq·ḏê Isaiah 33:15 הֹלֵ֣ךְ He who walks hō·lêḵ צְדָק֔וֹת righteously ṣə·ḏā·qō·wṯ וְדֹבֵ֖ר and speaks wə·ḏō·ḇêr מֵֽישָׁרִ֑ים with sincerity , mê·šā·rîm מֹאֵ֞ס who refuses mō·’ês בְּבֶ֣צַע gain bə·ḇe·ṣa‘ מַעֲשַׁקּ֗וֹת from extortion , ma·‘ă·šaq·qō·wṯ כַּפָּיו֙ whose hand kap·pāw נֹעֵ֤ר never nō·‘êr מִתְּמֹ֣ךְ takes mit·tə·mōḵ בַּשֹּׁ֔חַד a bribe , baš·šō·ḥaḏ אֹטֵ֤ם who stops ’ō·ṭêm אָזְנוֹ֙ his ears ’ā·zə·nōw מִשְּׁמֹ֣עַ against miš·šə·mō·a‘ דָּמִ֔ים murderous plots dā·mîm וְעֹצֵ֥ם and shuts wə·‘ō·ṣêm עֵינָ֖יו his eyes tightly ‘ê·nāw מֵרְא֥וֹת against mê·rə·’ō·wṯ בְּרָֽע׃ evil — bə·rā‘ Isaiah 33:16 ה֚וּא he hū יִשְׁכֹּ֔ן will dwell yiš·kōn מְרוֹמִ֣ים on the heights ; mə·rō·w·mîm סְלָעִ֖ים the mountain sə·lā·‘îm מְצָד֥וֹת fortress mə·ṣā·ḏō·wṯ מִשְׂגַּבּ֑וֹ [will be] his refuge ; miś·gab·bōw לַחְמ֣וֹ his food laḥ·mōw נִתָּ֔ן will be provided nit·tān מֵימָ֖יו [and] his water mê·māw נֶאֱמָנִֽים׃ assured . ne·’ĕ·mā·nîm Isaiah 33:17 עֵינֶ֑יךָ Your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā תֶּחֱזֶ֣ינָה will see te·ḥĕ·ze·nāh מֶ֥לֶךְ the King me·leḵ בְּיָפְי֖וֹ in His beauty bə·yā·p̄ə·yōw תִּרְאֶ֖ינָה and behold tir·’e·nāh אֶ֥רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ מַרְחַקִּֽים׃ that stretches afar . mar·ḥaq·qîm Isaiah 33:18 לִבְּךָ֖ Your mind lib·bə·ḵā יֶהְגֶּ֣ה will ponder yeh·geh אֵימָ֑ה the former terror : ’ê·māh אַיֵּ֤ה “ Where ’ay·yêh סֹפֵר֙ is he who tallies ? sō·p̄êr אַיֵּ֣ה Where ’ay·yêh שֹׁקֵ֔ל is he who weighs ? šō·qêl אַיֵּ֖ה Where ’ay·yêh סֹפֵ֥ר is he who counts sō·p̄êr אֶת־ ’eṯ- הַמִּגְדָּלִֽים׃ the towers ? ” ham·miḡ·dā·lîm Isaiah 33:19 אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לֹ֣א You will no lō תִרְאֶ֑ה longer see ṯir·’eh נוֹעָ֖ז the insolent nō·w·‘āz עַ֥ם . . . , ‘am עַ֣ם a people ‘am שָׂפָה֙ whose speech śā·p̄āh עִמְקֵ֤י is unintelligible ‘im·qê מִשְּׁמ֔וֹעַ - , miš·šə·mō·w·a‘ נִלְעַ֥ג who stammer nil·‘aḡ לָשׁ֖וֹן in a language lā·šō·wn אֵ֥ין you cannot ’ên בִּינָֽה׃ understand . bî·nāh Isaiah 33:20 חֲזֵ֣ה Look ḥă·zêh צִיּ֔וֹן upon Zion , ṣî·yō·wn קִרְיַ֖ת the city qir·yaṯ מֽוֹעֲדֵ֑נוּ of our appointed feasts . mō·w·‘ă·ḏê·nū עֵינֶיךָ֩ Your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā תִרְאֶ֨ינָה will see ṯir·’e·nāh יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim שַׁאֲנָ֗ן a peaceful ša·’ă·nān נָוֶ֣ה pasture , nā·weh אֹ֤הֶל a tent ’ō·hel בַּל־ that does not bal- יִצְעָן֙ wander ; yiṣ·‘ān יְתֵֽדֹתָיו֙ its tent pegs yə·ṯê·ḏō·ṯāw לָנֶ֔צַח . . . lā·ne·ṣaḥ
