עַמְּךָ֙ Your people , ‘am·mə·ḵā בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ יַעֲקֹ֔ב of Jacob , ya·‘ă·qōḇ כִּ֤י because kî מָלְאוּ֙ they are filled mā·lə·’ū מִקֶּ֔דֶם [with influences] from the east ; miq·qe·ḏem וְעֹֽנְנִ֖ים they are soothsayers wə·‘ō·nə·nîm כַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים like the Philistines ; kap·pə·liš·tîm יַשְׂפִּֽיקוּ׃ they strike [hands] yaś·pî·qū וּבְיַלְדֵ֥י with the children ū·ḇə·yal·ḏê נָכְרִ֖ים of foreigners . nā·ḵə·rîm Isaiah 2:7 אַרְצוֹ֙ Their land ’ar·ṣōw וַתִּמָּלֵ֤א is full of wat·tim·mā·lê כֶּ֣סֶף silver ke·sep̄ וְזָהָ֔ב and gold , wə·zā·hāḇ וְאֵ֥ין with no wə·’ên קֵ֖צֶה limit qê·ṣeh לְאֹצְרֹתָ֑יו to their treasures ; lə·’ō·ṣə·rō·ṯāw אַרְצוֹ֙ their land ’ar·ṣōw וַתִּמָּלֵ֤א is full of wat·tim·mā·lê סוּסִ֔ים horses , sū·sîm וְאֵ֥ין with no wə·’ên קֵ֖צֶה limit qê·ṣeh לְמַרְכְּבֹתָֽיו׃ to their chariots . lə·mar·kə·ḇō·ṯāw Isaiah 2:8 אַרְצ֖וֹ Their land ’ar·ṣōw וַתִּמָּלֵ֥א is full of wat·tim·mā·lê אֱלִילִ֑ים idols ; ’ĕ·lî·lîm יִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֔וּ they bow down yiš·ta·ḥă·wū לְמַעֲשֵׂ֤ה to the work lə·ma·‘ă·śêh יָדָיו֙ of their hands , yā·ḏāw לַאֲשֶׁ֥ר to what la·’ă·šer אֶצְבְּעֹתָֽיו׃ their fingers ’eṣ·bə·‘ō·ṯāw עָשׂ֖וּ have made . ‘ā·śū Isaiah 2:9 אָדָ֖ם So mankind ’ā·ḏām וַיִּשַּׁ֥ח is brought low , way·yiš·šaḥ אִ֑ישׁ and man ’îš וַיִּשְׁפַּל־ is humbled — way·yiš·pal- וְאַל־ do not wə·’al- תִּשָּׂ֖א forgive tiś·śā לָהֶֽם׃ them ! lā·hem Isaiah 2:10 בּ֣וֹא Go bō·w בַצּ֔וּר into the rocks ḇaṣ·ṣūr וְהִטָּמֵ֖ן and hide wə·hiṭ·ṭā·mên בֶּֽעָפָ֑ר in the dust be·‘ā·p̄ār מִפְּנֵי֙ from mip·pə·nê פַּ֣חַד the terror pa·ḥaḏ יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וּמֵהֲדַ֖ר and the splendor ū·mê·hă·ḏar גְּאֹנֽוֹ׃ of His majesty . gə·’ō·nōw Isaiah 2:11 גַּבְה֤וּת The proud gaḇ·hūṯ עֵינֵ֞י look ‘ê·nê אָדָם֙ of man ’ā·ḏām שָׁפֵ֔ל will be humbled , šā·p̄êl ר֣וּם and the loftiness rūm אֲנָשִׁ֑ים of men ’ă·nā·šîm וְשַׁ֖ח brought low ; wə·šaḥ יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh לְבַדּ֖וֹ alone lə·ḇad·dōw וְנִשְׂגַּ֧ב will be exalted wə·niś·gaḇ הַהֽוּא׃ס in that ha·hū בַּיּ֥וֹם day . bay·yō·wm Isaiah 2:12 כִּ֣י For kî י֞וֹם the Day yō·wm לַיהוָ֧ה of YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֛וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ עַ֥ל [will come] against ‘al כָּל־ all kāl- גֵּאֶ֖ה the proud gê·’eh וָרָ֑ם and lofty , wā·rām וְעַ֖ל against wə·‘al כָּל־ all kāl- נִשָּׂ֥א that is exalted — niś·śā וְשָׁפֵֽל׃ it will be humbled — wə·šā·p̄êl Isaiah 2:13 וְעַל֙ against wə·‘al כָּל־ all kāl- אַרְזֵ֣י the cedars ’ar·zê הַלְּבָנ֔וֹן of Lebanon , hal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn הָרָמִ֖ים lofty hā·rā·mîm וְהַנִּשָּׂאִ֑ים and lifted up , wə·han·niś·śā·’îm
