וּבָ֣רְחֹב֔וֹת and squares . ū·ḇā·rə·ḥō·ḇō·wṯ אֲבַקְשָׁ֕ה I will seek ’ă·ḇaq·šāh אֵ֥ת the one ’êṯ נַפְשִׁ֑י I nap̄·šî שֶׁאָהֲבָ֖ה love . še·’ā·hă·ḇāh בִּקַּשְׁתִּ֖יו So I sought him biq·qaš·tîw וְלֹ֥א but did not wə·lō מְצָאתִֽיו׃ find him . mə·ṣā·ṯîw Song of Solomon 3:3 מְצָא֙וּנִי֙ I encountered mə·ṣā·’ū·nî הַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔ים the watchmen haš·šō·mə·rîm אֵ֛ת - ’êṯ הַסֹּבְבִ֖ים on their rounds has·sō·ḇə·ḇîm בָּעִ֑יר of the city : bā·‘îr רְאִיתֶֽם׃ “ Have you seen [the one] rə·’î·ṯem נַפְשִׁ֖י I nap̄·šî שֶׁאָהֲבָ֥ה love ? ” še·’ā·hă·ḇāh Song of Solomon 3:4 כִּמְעַט֙ I had just kim·‘aṭ שֶׁעָבַ֣רְתִּי passed še·‘ā·ḇar·tî מֵהֶ֔ם them mê·hem עַ֣ד when ‘aḏ שֶֽׁמָּצָ֔אתִי I found šem·mā·ṣā·ṯî אֵ֥ת the one ’êṯ נַפְשִׁ֑י I nap̄·šî שֶׁאָהֲבָ֖ה love . še·’ā·hă·ḇāh אֲחַזְתִּיו֙ I held him ’ă·ḥaz·tîw וְלֹ֣א and would not wə·lō אַרְפֶּ֔נּוּ let go ’ar·pen·nū עַד־ until ‘aḏ- שֶׁ֤הֲבֵיאתִיו֙ I had brought him še·hă·ḇê·ṯîw אֶל־ to ’el- אִמִּ֔י my mother’s ’im·mî בֵּ֣ית house , bêṯ וְאֶל־ to wə·’el- חֶ֖דֶר the chamber ḥe·ḏer הוֹרָתִֽי׃ of the one who conceived me . hō·w·rā·ṯî Song of Solomon 3:5 בְּנ֤וֹת O daughters bə·nō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ of Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim הִשְׁבַּ֨עְתִּי I adjure hiš·ba‘·tî אֶתְכֶ֜ם you ’eṯ·ḵem בִּצְבָא֔וֹת by the gazelles biṣ·ḇā·’ō·wṯ א֖וֹ and ’ōw בְּאַיְל֣וֹת does bə·’ay·lō·wṯ הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה of the field : haś·śā·ḏeh אִם־ Do not ’im- תָּעִ֧ירוּ׀ arouse tā·‘î·rū וְֽאִם־ or wə·’im- תְּעֽוֹרְר֛וּ awaken tə·‘ō·wr·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאַהֲבָ֖ה love hā·’a·hă·ḇāh עַ֥ד until ‘aḏ שֶׁתֶּחְפָּֽץ׃ס the time is right . šet·teḥ·pāṣ Song of Solomon 3:6 מִ֣י Who mî זֹ֗את is this zōṯ עֹלָה֙ coming up ‘ō·lāh מִן־ from min- הַמִּדְבָּ֔ר the wilderness ham·miḏ·bār כְּתִֽימֲר֖וֹת like a column kə·ṯî·mă·rō·wṯ עָשָׁ֑ן of smoke , ‘ā·šān מְקֻטֶּ֤רֶת scented mə·quṭ·ṭe·reṯ מוֹר֙ with myrrh mō·wr וּלְבוֹנָ֔ה and frankincense ū·lə·ḇō·w·nāh מִכֹּ֖ל from all mik·kōl אַבְקַ֥ת the spices ’aḇ·qaṯ רוֹכֵֽל׃ of the merchant ? rō·w·ḵêl Song of Solomon 3:7 הִנֵּ֗ה Behold , hin·nêh שֶׁלִּשְׁלֹמֹ֔ה it is Solomon’s šel·liš·lō·mōh מִטָּתוֹ֙ carriage , miṭ·ṭā·ṯōw סָבִ֣יב escorted sā·ḇîḇ שִׁשִּׁ֥ים by sixty šiš·šîm לָ֑הּ lāh גִּבֹּרִ֖ים of the mightiest men gib·bō·rîm מִגִּבֹּרֵ֖י . . . mig·gib·bō·rê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Song of Solomon 3:8 כֻּלָּם֙ All kul·lām אֲחֻ֣זֵי are skilled ’ă·ḥu·zê חֶ֔רֶב with the sword , ḥe·reḇ מְלֻמְּדֵ֖י experienced mə·lum·mə·ḏê מִלְחָמָ֑ה in warfare . mil·ḥā·māh אִ֤ישׁ Each ’îš חַרְבּוֹ֙ has his sword ḥar·bōw עַל־ at ‘al- יְרֵכ֔וֹ his side yə·rê·ḵōw
