וְהֵשִׁ֖יב away wə·hê·šîḇ מֵעָלָ֣יו from him . mê·‘ā·lāw Proverbs 24:19 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּתְחַ֥ר fret tiṯ·ḥar בַּמְּרֵעִ֑ים over evildoers , bam·mə·rê·‘îm אַל־ and do not ’al- תְּ֝קַנֵּ֗א be envious tə·qan·nê בָּרְשָׁעִֽים׃ of the wicked . bā·rə·šā·‘îm Proverbs 24:20 כִּ֤י׀ For kî לָרָ֑ע the evil [man] lā·rā‘ תִהְיֶ֣ה has ṯih·yeh לֹֽא־ no lō- אַחֲרִ֣ית future ; ’a·ḥă·rîṯ נֵ֖ר the lamp nêr רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm יִדְעָֽךְ׃ will be extinguished . yiḏ·‘āḵ Proverbs 24:21 בְּנִ֣י My son , bə·nî יְרָֽא־ fear yə·rā- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh וָמֶ֑לֶךְ and the king , wā·me·leḵ אַל־ and do not ’al- תִּתְעָרָֽב׃ associate tiṯ·‘ā·rāḇ עִם־ with ‘i·mō·šō- שׁוֹנִ֑ים the rebellious šō·w·nîm אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- Proverbs 24:22 כִּֽי־ For kî- יָק֣וּם they will bring yā·qūm פִ֭תְאֹם sudden p̄iṯ·’ōm אֵידָ֑ם destruction . ’ê·ḏām מִ֣י Who mî יוֹדֵֽעַ׃ס knows yō·w·ḏê·a‘ וּפִ֥יד what ruin ū·p̄îḏ שְׁ֝נֵיהֶ֗ם [they] can bring ? nê·hem Proverbs 24:23 אֵ֥לֶּה These ’êl·leh גַּם־ also gam- לַֽחֲכָמִ֑ים are sayings of the wise : la·ḥă·ḵā·mîm הַֽכֵּר־ To show partiality hak·kêr- פָּנִ֖ים . . . pā·nîm בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט in judgment bə·miš·pāṭ בַּל־ is not bal- טֽוֹב׃ good . ṭō·wḇ Proverbs 24:24 אֹ֤מֵ֨ר׀ Whoever tells ’ō·mêr לְרָשָׁע֮ the guilty , lə·rā·šā‘ אָ֥תָּה “ You ’āt·tāh צַדִּ֪יק are innocent ”— ṣad·dîq עַמִּ֑ים peoples ‘am·mîm יִקְּבֻ֥הוּ will curse him , yiq·qə·ḇu·hū לְאֻמִּֽים׃ and nations lə·’um·mîm יִזְעָמ֥וּהוּ will denounce him ; yiz·‘ā·mū·hū Proverbs 24:25 יִנְעָ֑ם but it will go well yin·‘ām וְלַמּוֹכִיחִ֥ים with those who convict the guilty , wə·lam·mō·w·ḵî·ḥîm טֽוֹב׃ and rich ṭō·wḇ בִרְכַּת־ blessing ḇir·kaṯ- תָּב֥וֹא will come tā·ḇō·w וַֽ֝עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם upon them . wa·‘ă·lê·hem Proverbs 24:26 נְכֹחִֽים׃ An honest nə·ḵō·ḥîm דְּבָרִ֥ים answer də·ḇā·rîm מֵ֝שִׁ֗יב given mê·šîḇ יִשָּׁ֑ק is like a kiss yiš·šāq שְׂפָתַ֥יִם on the lips . śə·p̄ā·ṯa·yim Proverbs 24:27 הָ֘כֵ֤ן Complete hā·ḵên בַּח֨וּץ׀ your outdoor ba·ḥūṣ מְלַאכְתֶּ֗ךָ work mə·laḵ·te·ḵā וְעַתְּדָ֣הּ and prepare wə·‘at·tə·ḏāh בַּשָּׂדֶ֣ה your field baś·śā·ḏeh לָ֑ךְ ; lāḵ אַ֝חַ֗ר after that , ’a·ḥar וּבָנִ֥יתָ you may build ū·ḇā·nî·ṯā בֵיתֶֽךָ׃פ your house . ḇê·ṯe·ḵā Proverbs 24:28 אַל־ Do not ’al-
