Proverbs 15:11 שְׁא֣וֹל Sheol šə·’ō·wl וַ֭אֲבַדּוֹן and Abaddon wa·’ă·ḇad·dō·wn נֶ֣גֶד lie open before ne·ḡeḏ יְהוָ֑ה YHWH — Yah·weh אַ֝֗ף how much more ’ap̄ כִּֽי־ . . . kî- לִבּ֥וֹת the hearts lib·bō·wṯ בְּֽנֵי־ vvv bə·nê- אָדָֽם׃ of men ! ’ā·ḏām Proverbs 15:12 לֵ֭ץ A mocker lêṣ לֹ֣א does not lō יֶאֱהַב־ love ye·’ĕ·haḇ- הוֹכֵ֣חַֽ to be reproved , hō·w·ḵê·aḥ לֹ֣א nor will he lō ל֑וֹ vvv lōw אֶל־ consult ’el- יֵלֵֽךְ׃ . . . yê·lêḵ חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים the wise . ḥă·ḵā·mîm Proverbs 15:13 שָׂ֭מֵחַ A joyful mê·aḥ לֵ֣ב heart lêḇ יֵיטִ֣ב makes a cheerful yê·ṭiḇ פָּנִ֑ים countenance , pā·nîm וּבְעַצְּבַת־ but sorrow ū·ḇə·‘aṣ·ṣə·ḇaṯ- לֵ֝ב of the heart lêḇ נְכֵאָֽה׃ crushes nə·ḵê·’āh ר֣וּחַ the spirit . rū·aḥ Proverbs 15:14 נָ֭בוֹן A discerning nā·ḇō·wn לֵ֣ב heart lêḇ יְבַקֶּשׁ־ seeks yə·ḇaq·qeš- דָּ֑עַת knowledge , dā·‘aṯ וּפְנֵי but the mouth ū·p̄ə·nē כְ֝סִילִ֗ים of a fool ḵə·sî·lîm יִרְעֶ֥ה feeds on yir·‘eh אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ folly . ’iw·we·leṯ Proverbs 15:15 כָּל־ All kāl- יְמֵ֣י the days yə·mê עָנִ֣י of the oppressed ‘ā·nî רָעִ֑ים are bad , rā·‘îm וְטֽוֹב־ but a cheerful wə·ṭō·wḇ- לֵ֝֗ב heart lêḇ תָמִֽיד׃ has a continual ṯā·mîḏ מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה feast . miš·teh Proverbs 15:16 טוֹב־ Better ṭō·wḇ- מְ֭עַט a little mə·‘aṭ בְּיִרְאַ֣ת with the fear bə·yir·’aṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH Yah·weh רָ֝֗ב than great rāḇ מֵאוֹצָ֥ר treasure mê·’ō·w·ṣār וּמְה֥וּמָה with turmoil ū·mə·hū·māh בֽוֹ׃ . ḇōw Proverbs 15:17 ט֤וֹב Better ṭō·wḇ אֲרֻחַ֣ת a dish ’ă·ru·ḥaṯ יָ֭רָק of vegetables yā·rāq שָׁ֑ם where šām וְאַהֲבָה־ there is love wə·’a·hă·ḇāh- אָ֝ב֗וּס than a fattened ’ā·ḇūs מִשּׁ֥וֹר ox miš·šō·wr וְשִׂנְאָה־ with hatred wə·śin·’āh- בֽוֹ׃ . ḇōw Proverbs 15:18 חֵ֭מָה A hot-tempered ḥê·māh אִ֣ישׁ man ’îš יְגָרֶ֣ה stirs up yə·ḡā·reh מָד֑וֹן strife , mā·ḏō·wn וְאֶ֥רֶך but he who is slow wə·ʾɛ·rɛḵ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם to anger ’ap·pa·yim יַשְׁקִ֥יט calms yaš·qîṭ רִֽיב׃ dispute . rîḇ Proverbs 15:19 דֶּ֣רֶךְ The way de·reḵ עָ֭צֵל of the slacker ‘ā·ṣêl כִּמְשֻׂ֣כַת is like a hedge kim·śu·ḵaṯ חָ֑דֶק of thorns , ḥā·ḏeq וְאֹ֖רַח but the path wə·’ō·raḥ יְשָׁרִ֣ים of the upright yə·šā·rîm סְלֻלָֽה׃ is a highway . sə·lu·lāh
