מֵרְשָׁעִ֑ים from the wicked , mê·rə·šā·‘îm יִשְׁמָֽע׃ but He hears yiš·mā‘ וּתְפִלַּ֖ת the prayer ū·ṯə·p̄il·laṯ צַדִּיקִ֣ים of the righteous . ṣad·dî·qîm Proverbs 15:30 מְֽאוֹר־ The light mə·’ō·wr- עֵ֭ינַיִם of the eyes ‘ê·na·yim יְשַׂמַּֽח־ cheers yə·śam·maḥ- לֵ֑ב the heart , lêḇ ט֝וֹבָ֗ה [and] good ṭō·w·ḇāh שְׁמוּעָ֥ה news šə·mū·‘āh תְּדַשֶּׁן־ nourishes tə·ḏaš·šen- עָֽצֶם׃ the bones . ‘ā·ṣem Proverbs 15:31 אֹ֗זֶן vvv ’ō·zen שֹׁ֭מַעַת He who listens to šō·ma·ʿaṯ חַיִּ֑ים life-giving ḥay·yîm תּוֹכַ֣חַת reproof tō·w·ḵa·ḥaṯ תָּלִֽין׃ will dwell tā·lîn בְּקֶ֖רֶב among bə·qe·reḇ חֲכָמִ֣ים the wise . ḥă·ḵā·mîm Proverbs 15:32 פּוֹרֵ֣עַ He who ignores pō·w·rê·a‘ מ֭וּסָר discipline mū·så̄r מוֹאֵ֣ס despises mō·w·’ês נַפְשׁ֑וֹ himself , nap̄·šōw וְשׁוֹמֵ֥עַ but whoever heeds wə·šō·w·mê·a‘ תּ֝וֹכַ֗חַת correction tō·w·ḵa·ḥaṯ ק֣וֹנֶה gains qō·w·neh לֵּֽב׃ understanding . lêḇ Proverbs 15:33 יִרְאַ֣ת The fear yir·’aṯ יְ֭הוָה of YHWH Yah·weh מוּסַ֣ר [is] the instruction mū·sar חָכְמָ֑ה of wisdom , ḥāḵ·māh עֲנָוָֽה׃ and humility ‘ă·nā·wāh וְלִפְנֵ֖י comes before wə·lip̄·nê כָב֣וֹד honor . ḵā·ḇō·wḏ Proverbs 16:1 מַֽעַרְכֵי־ The plans ma·‘ar·ḵê- לֵ֑ב of the heart lêḇ לְאָדָ֥ם belong to man , lə·’ā·ḏām מַעֲנֵ֥ה but the reply ma·‘ă·nêh לָשֽׁוֹן׃ of the tongue lā·šō·wn וּ֝מֵיְהוָ֗ה [is] from YHWH . Yah·weh Proverbs 16:2 כָּֽל־ All kāl- אִ֭ישׁ a man’s ’îš דַּרְכֵי־ ways dar·ḵê- זַ֣ךְ [are] pure zaḵ בְּעֵינָ֑יו in his own eyes , bə·‘ê·nāw רוּח֣וֹת but his motives rū·ḥō·wṯ וְתֹכֵ֖ן are weighed out wə·ṯō·ḵên יְהוָֽה׃ by YHWH . Yah·weh Proverbs 16:3 גֹּ֣ל Commit gōl מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ your works ma·‘ă·śe·ḵā אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh מַחְשְׁבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ and your plans maḥ·šə·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā וְ֝יִכֹּ֗נוּ will be achieved . wə·yik·kō·nū Proverbs 16:4 יְ֭הוָה YHWH Yah·weh פָּעַ֣ל has made pā·‘al כֹּ֤ל everything kōl לַֽמַּעֲנֵ֑הוּ for His purpose — lam·ma·‘ă·nê·hū וְגַם־ even wə·ḡam- רָ֝שָׁ֗ע the wicked rā·šā‘ לְי֣וֹם for the day lə·yō·wm רָעָֽה׃ of disaster . rā·‘āh Proverbs 16:5 כָּל־ Everyone kāl- גְּבַהּ־ [who is] proud gə·ḇah- לֵ֑ב in heart lêḇ תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת is detestable tō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ יְ֭הוָה to YHWH ; Yah·weh יָ֥ד be assured that yāḏ לְ֝יָ֗ד . . . lə·yāḏ לֹ֣א he will not lō יִנָּקֶֽה׃ go unpunished . yin·nā·qeh
