בַּ֭קַּיִץ in summer baq·qa·yiṣ מַשְׂכִּ֑יל [is] a wise maś·kîl בֵּ֣ן son , bên נִרְדָּ֥ם [but] he who sleeps nir·dām בַּ֝קָּצִ֗יר during harvest baq·qā·ṣîr מֵבִֽישׁ׃ is a disgraceful mê·ḇîš בֵּ֣ן son . bên Proverbs 10:6 בְּ֭רָכוֹת Blessings bə·rā·ḵō·wṯ לְרֹ֣אשׁ are on the head lə·rōš צַדִּ֑יק of the righteous , ṣad·dîq וּפִ֥י but the mouth ū·p̄î רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm יְכַסֶּ֥ה conceals yə·ḵas·seh חָמָֽס׃ violence . ḥā·mās Proverbs 10:7 זֵ֣כֶר The memory zê·ḵer צַ֭דִּיק of the righteous ṣad·dîq לִבְרָכָ֑ה is a blessing , liḇ·rā·ḵāh וְשֵׁ֖ם but the name wə·šêm רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm יִרְקָֽב׃ will rot . yir·qāḇ Proverbs 10:8 חֲכַם־ A wise ḥă·ḵam- לֵ֭ב heart lêḇ יִקַּ֣ח will receive yiq·qaḥ מִצְוֺ֑ת commandments , miṣ·wōṯ וֶאֱוִ֥יל but foolish we·’ĕ·wîl שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם lips p̄ā·ṯa·yim יִלָּבֵֽט׃ will come to ruin . yil·lā·ḇêṭ Proverbs 10:9 הוֹלֵ֣ךְ He who walks hō·w·lêḵ בַּ֭תֹּם in integrity bat·tōm יֵ֣לֶךְ walks yê·leḵ בֶּ֑טַח securely , be·ṭaḥ וּמְעַקֵּ֥שׁ but he who perverts ū·mə·‘aq·qêš דְּ֝רָכָ֗יו his ways də·rā·ḵāw יִוָּדֵֽעַ׃ will be found out . yiw·wā·ḏê·a‘ Proverbs 10:10 קֹ֣רֵֽץ He who winks qō·rēṣ עַ֭יִן the eye ‘a·yin יִתֵּ֣ן causes yit·tên עַצָּ֑בֶת grief , ‘aṣ·ṣā·ḇeṯ וֶאֱוִ֥יל and foolish we·’ĕ·wîl שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם lips p̄ā·ṯa·yim יִלָּבֵֽט׃ will come to ruin . yil·lā·ḇêṭ Proverbs 10:11 פִּ֣י The mouth pî צַדִּ֑יק of the righteous ṣad·dîq מְק֣וֹר is a fountain mə·qō·wr חַ֭יִּים of life , ḥay·yîm וּפִ֥י but the mouth ū·p̄î רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm יְכַסֶּ֥ה conceals yə·ḵas·seh חָמָֽס׃ violence . ḥā·mās Proverbs 10:12 שִׂ֭נְאָה Hatred nə·’āh תְּעוֹרֵ֣ר stirs up tə·‘ō·w·rêr מְדָנִ֑ים dissension mə·ḏā·nîm וְעַ֥ל . . . , wə·‘al אַהֲבָֽה׃ but love ’a·hă·ḇāh תְּכַסֶּ֥ה covers tə·ḵas·seh כָּל־ all kāl- פְּ֝שָׁעִ֗ים transgressions . pə·šā·‘îm Proverbs 10:13 חָכְמָ֑ה Wisdom ḥāḵ·māh תִּמָּצֵ֣א is found tim·mā·ṣê בְּשִׂפְתֵ֣י on the lips bə·śip̄·ṯê נָ֭בוֹן of the discerning , nā·ḇō·wn וְ֝שֵׁ֗בֶט but a rod wə·šê·ḇeṭ לְגֵ֣ו is for the back lə·ḡêw חֲסַר־ of him who lacks ḥă·sar- לֵֽב׃ judgment . lêḇ Proverbs 10:14 חֲכָמִ֥ים The wise ḥă·ḵā·mîm יִצְפְּנוּ־ store up yiṣ·pə·nū- דָ֑עַת knowledge , ḏā·‘aṯ וּפִֽי־ but the mouth ū·p̄î- אֱ֝וִיל of the fool ’ĕ·wîl קְרֹבָֽה׃ invites qə·rō·ḇāh מְחִתָּ֥ה destruction . mə·ḥit·tāh
